Marble League Teams Divided into 8 Tiers
Hello guys, Awesome here. So another 3 years ago, I did a repeat of "Every Team Divided into 7 Tiers", and since then, I have quit JMR and came back. Now that we have 32 teams, I'm gonna expand it into 8 tiers, and this tier list turned out to be quite a lot harder to make than the previous 2 years, because... not only did I not watch ML24 live, but most teams have now qualified at least once or had failed to qualify, while some teams that were once considered utter trash finished on the podium spots - like really, who would have thought that the Bumblebees, Black Jacks, Kobalts or the Snowballs would find themselves on the podium in the next four Marble Leagues??? I tried to rank each team based on their historical performances, with a stronger emphasis on recent performances. The teams within the tiers are not ordered - they are just in that tier. And just a quick disclaimer: This post is by no means objective, and you are free to yell at me for putting a team too high or low.
Right, let's go.
Tier I: Basement Dwellers - Balls of Chaos, Limers, Turtle Sliders, Team Primary
If only I’m not restricting myself to 8 tiers of 4 teams, because I can tell you that the Limers and the Balls of Chaos deserve their own tier - Tier 0, because they are miles worse than the Turtle Sliders and Team Primary. In 2023, I barely gave the Limers Tier II over the Snowballs and Rojo Rollers, but seeing how those two teams have at least done something to unchain themselves from the basement, the Limers have dipped straight into the basement floor. No podiums, every ML appearance ending in double-digit placements, and you can’t even finish above 7th in the Showdown. And finally, after 10 years of failure, you finally reached the promised land: Dead last in the Marble League in 2025, and barely scraping survival in the 2026 Showdown. Your closing ceremony lineup pose in ML25 is the embodiment of your entire team’s mentality: L. Just endless Ls. Next up, the Balls of Chaos. Yes, I am placing the Balls of Chaos in Tier I. The original section had me go on a long-winding analysis on why they are Tier II over the Indigo Stars. Well… I guess this season says it for themselves. The Indigo Stars finished as runners-up in Marble League 2026, while the Balls of Chaos… relegated in the Showdown. Add that to their comical ML22 performance and ML25 tank bowl with the Limers, and you get this piece of junk. Now onto Tier 1.5, which is where the Turtle Sliders and Team Primary should be. I would like to point out this comment I made in 2023:
“The Turtle Sliders might have finished 4th in the Showdown, and while yes, they are improving, they still haven't gotten into the main League after 4 freaking years. Come on guys, you do not want to stay here for long - look at the Kobalts.”
And guess what? They fell from 5th to 14th and could have gotten relegated had JMR decided to keep relegation. It’s now 2026 and 7 chances of them entering a Marble League… they failed. Every time. Even in the Showdown, they magically bottled a surefire Showdown League title at the last minute by sending out the reserve and finishing 12th. And they promptly did it again in MLS26, sending out Frank and letting the Wolfpack surpass you. If that’s not peak incompetence, I don’t know what is. Team Primary is a bit more iffy, like… they are definitely better than both BoC and Limers, but 3/11 appearances, including a relegation isn’t the best look. And when they DO appear in the Marble League, they are a bunch of bad athletes trying to scrape together a performance. Just look at their individual records in 2022. There aren’t that many teams left with no podiums in the Main League, but Primary is one of them. Shows you how bad they really are.
Tier II: Showdown Quality - Solar Flares, Rojo Rollers, Team Plasma, Jawbreakers
So the initial dilemma was to put either two of Primary, Rollers, Flares or Sliders in Tier I while the other two teams go into Tier II. The Rollers actually had a pretty good ML23 and finished 5th overall, even coming 4th in MLS24 after an incredible comeback. But well… finishing dead last in 2021 and relegation this year kind of resets your incredible streak. But hey, 5th place in the Marble League is better than the Limers, so there’s that. Team Plasma… right. That ML22 Showdown win was impressive, but then you went on to finish dead last in the Main League, fell all the way back to the Showdown relegation zone in MLS24, and you just threw away an overall podium after Fearo finished 13th. You guys are a one-season wonder, and nothing else. I don’t expect you to do much in ML26 either, so good luck I guess. And then there’s the Solar Flares. HOW THE HELL did the Solar Flares finish 7th!? TWICE!? I thought they were supposed to be basement fillers! But still, qualifying twice with good results is better than what Primary had for the past four years, and Radiance is hard carrying your team, but a hard carry is better than no carry. Just uh, don’t look at their Showdown records. Team Plasma came in swinging with their domination in the 2022 Showdown, but that’s all they ever have. I literally forgot to write your section until I finished Tier III’s section. That’s how forgettable you are in the past few seasons. Team Plasma are just… there. A filler team that few pays attention about, even as they finished in 10th this season. And finally, the Jawbreakers. I was sure that I want to shove the Jawbreakers in the bottom two tiers simply out of them being “new”, but I decided to wait until the season concluded. Well… finishing 4th with 4 medals is certainly a way to introduce yourselves. Candy is the determinator - she never gave up even after firing her team twice, and honestly, I salute that.
Tier III: Bit Mediocre - Thunderbolts, Jungle Jumpers, Wolfpack, Gliding Glaciers
Tiers III, IV and V are the hardest to put together, since all 12 of them can honestly be swapped around depending on what you consider as “good”. If you rank dud years as more damaging to a team’s overall standing, these tiers will look very different. First up, the Blunderbolts. Man… if only they had gotten relegated, I could have placed the Flares here instead. What have the Bolts really done since my last post? One forgettable 13th and two consecutive 12ths in the Showdown? The Bolts have devolved into just being the team that “exists”, when both the Shining Swarm and the Indigo Stars have aimed for higher. They tried to smite others, but smited themselves. Now onto the Jungle Jumpers, who are actually not terrible in the main League. 7th in ML19 and 5th in ML24 shows that they have some potential. But come on, you need to qualify to show that you aren’t just weighed down by M1S2, because a string of mediocre finishes in the Showdown isn’t a good look. The Wolfpack are in Tier III for a reason - they’re actually mid. Not an amazing team like the Black Jacks, but not a shattered pack like what happened to the Purple Rockets. 9th in their only Marble League to date, and a pretty good string of finishes for the Showdown before outright winning in 2026. I think this team has some potential, and considering how random the Marble League had become with teams like the Indigo Stars and the Snowballs on the podium, maybe the Wolfpack will have their Minty Maniacs moment. And lastly… sigh. Do the Glaciers even deserve to be in Tier III? They have a 3rd, yes - but that was a very scrappy third. 153 points and 4 medals does not feel like a 3rd place to me, even if this season said otherwise. And after that, it’s just a string of bad finishes after worse finishes, and now they are just Showdown fodder. In the words of Madman: I like you hosting, but I don’t like you competing.
Tier IV: Purely Average - Oceanics, Minty Maniacs, Chocolatiers, Indigo Stars
Okay. I’ll put this straight. The Oceanics finishing second in ML25 and being super consistent in ML26 does NOT override their horrendous performances between 2021 to 2023. Just looking at the past two years makes you think that this team is on the brink of winning a championship, but the fact that the Oceanics went seven straight events in the top half without a medal shows you all there is to say about them. So yeah, two good performances, four mid performances and four atrocious years balances it out to Tier IV. The same goes for the Minties. Finishing 3rd with a score higher than every other team except 2022 Pinkies does not override all the other seasons when you were just… mid. And finishing in the relegation zone twice. You should be thankful that one 194 point performance places you here, and that I literally have no other teams to replace you with, because if not, you’ll be sitting alongside the Solar Flares and Team Plasma in Tier II, if not outright Tier I material. Now, onto the Indigo Stars. I said this in my 2023 Rankings.
“Indigo Stars are pretty okay, not spectacular, but I wouldn't say they are trash either. They really deserved to be in ML222 over the Balls of Failures, and they proved it in the Showdown.”
And guess what? They proved it this season. 2nd in the Marble League, while the Balls of Chaos also finished 2nd… to last. In the Showdown. But it could have been so much more. You had a chance to move up to Tier V after being placed in Tier II last time. The Stars had the title on lock. 13 points ahead of the Pinkies. And what does Diego do? Finish dead last and let the Pinkies snatch it from them. Yeah, that was peak incompetence. Even a Showdown title is eclipsed by a dead last finish in MLS24, which again, averages out to this tier. I hope you guys don’t blow your autoqualification chance, because who knows if you’ll be able to qualify again after ML27. The Chocolatiers however are pretty much the opposite - really consistently average. 2nd in the 2023 Showdown; 12th in ML24, 6th in MLS25. And yes, they did finish dead last in 2026, but it was still better than the Limers the year prior. It was kinda inevitable that for a team known for being mid, they were going to find themselves at the basement someday. But still, being so consistently mid is better than flip-flopping from greatness to basement every other year, so that’s that.
Tier V: Cusp of Greatness - Kobalts, Shining Swarm, Black Jacks, Bumblebees
Well Tier V’s an interesting tier. It’s like that one awkward tier where one team has an astonishingly good season, but flops in the others. First up, the Kobalts. Last time, I placed them in Tier II, admitting that I overrated them in 2021 by placing them in Tier IV. Well… they promptly won with the largest winning margin and the highest points total in the past four year in 2025. That alone washes off the shame of two relegations, but I can’t put them much higher because that 8-in-a-row DNQ is too much of a stain to just wash off completely with a Marble League win. Same goes for the Shining Swarm. Yes, they have been relegated twice. But they also have a pretty good track record in the Main League, including a 2nd that would have won them the title in any of the other six seasons. They also have a Showdown title to show for it, and I think ultimately, they are kinda on par with the Kobalts, ironically. One very good season, a few okay finishes in both ML and the Showdown, but relegations weigh them down. The Black Jacks got the highest placement of the 4 expansion teams in 2022, since well… they performed the best of the four. A 3rd with 158 points and 5 medals, a bunch of 9ths in 2025 and a 12th after slumbering around the bottom four for the whole season. That’s better than what Plasma or the Wolfpack can say. And also, there’s just no other team that can take Tier V down there in Tier IV, but they are first boot if say, the Chocolatiers comes in swinging in 2027. And lastly, the Bumblebees - having qualified for every season since 2022, I said this after they got the host bid for ML23.
“The Bumblebees by contrast...hasn't really done much as of now, because yeah, I don't think 106 and 136 points counts as good. Now good news is, they'll host ML23, so please. Do well there, and you get Tier IV over the Oceanics should they sink further into the depths of the Mariana Trench.”
And guess what? They got 2nd. 1 point behind the champions. And they have since buzzed their way into every Marble League, becoming a pretty solid mid-table side. Maybe next year is the Bees’ year? Regardless, I can definitely give them more than just Tier IV now that they’ve proven themselves.
Tier VI: League Regulars - Midnight Wisps, Snowballs, Green Ducks, Team Momo
First and foremost, let’s take a look at what I wrote about the Snowballs back in 2023, when I considered them to be a Tier I side.
“As for the Snowballs, them being shit and nearly not qualifying to qualifying just solidifies my thoughts on them - a shit team. Honestly, I secretly wished them to get relegated so that they can be retired. After all, that snow theme has been (somewhat) filled by the Gliding Glaciers, am I right.”
Yeah… ever since that post, they have qualified for every Marble League and somehow finished in 2nd in 2024. Did I bless the Snowballs in 2023? Because they look like a completely different team! Snowy hard-carried the team to get out of the relegation zone in 2022, and has led by example since. 192 points with 6 medals is the hallmark of one of the greatest athletes in the Marble League. Snowdrift and Snowfall have been great additions to the team as well, with both scoring 60 individual points and helping the Snowballs to podium for a second time in 2026. This is why roster changes work - Speeders, Momo and all others, take note. Then there’s the Midnight Wisps, who… are the Midnight Wisps. They finished 4th and promptly got relegated with the new roster too. The Wisps always comes very close to greatness, but throw it away at the last moment and crashes out afterwards. You still have a title to your name though, and two 4ths is better than what most teams could say, so you’re only demoted one tier instead of two or three. The Green Ducks have had three good seasons with a 4th on their home turf, a 3rd in the Showdown and a 5th in ML24. But since then, Mallard has shown all the captain skills of a roasted goose, because bottom two in the captain standings for two years straight? Maybe it’s time for her to hand the captaincy to Billy. And finally… Team Momo, who were in Tier V in 2023. I said they always cling on to qualification by their chopsticks back then, and they had since snapped those chopsticks to try and qualify by a larger margin. This team… they won the Marble League Allstars and ML24, sure. But since then, it has been pain after pain. Slumping to 14th after 14 events in ML25 before outright getting relegated in 2026 in last. Not to mention your DNQ in ML22 as well. I want to put Team Momo higher, but I can’t. Tier VI is the highest tier that they can be in, and you’ll see why later on.
Tier VII: Best of the Rest - Crazy Cat’s Eyes, Team Galactic, Hazers, Pinkies
Finally. We have arrived at the truly elite teams. The teams that won Leagues, have podiums to their name and are teams that everyone look upon as the greatest of all time. Let’s start with the Crazy Cat’s Eyes. In my 2023 tier list, I said this.
“CCE are a good team, but they are not title contenders. You don't see people hyping up Galactic winning the League now, right? Then do the same to CCE. They're podium contenders, but nothing else.”
Well that aged well. Back in 2020, everyone hated the Savage Speeders. Now, it’s the Crazy Cat’s Eyes. Everyone seems to take glee in them failing in ML25 and ML26, me included. But still, CCE have been a very solid team since their inception, often finishing in the top half four times including a championship. That’s the hallmark of a “Best of the Rest” team. Speaking of which, the same can be said for Team Galactic as well. After their podium in ML22, Galactic has gotten back to being the same old solid mid-table team they had been for the past decade. Just uh, don’t ask what happened in ML24. Not much to say here, Galactic has just remained… Galactic. Then there are the Hazers, who finally punched their way back into the Marble League in 2024, though only finished 11th. They then finished 5th in the Showdown before swinging back into ML26. And somehow, even without Block Pushing, their nemesis event… they still finished 4th. Normally, the Hazers would be in Tier VI, but seeing how the other teams all collectively decide to choke and get relegated themselves, the Hazers’ five top half finishes secures their spot in Tier VII. And lastly, the Pinkies. I said in 2023 that I hope the Pinkies winning ML22 gives them a new start, and will not lead to them devolve into their old, crappy selves. Since then, the Pinkies have arguably - no, inarguably been the best team since ML22. Top five finishes every year, and even when they got sent to the Showdown in 2024, they finished with a 2nd to the Oceanics. And now, they just became the first team after the Speeders to repeat titles. So why aren’t they in the top Tier? Simple - their first five seasons weighs them down too much, Sure, they got screwed by the points system in 2016, but you can’t excuse the string of failures from 2018 to 2020. Pinkies are already the 5th best team in my opinion, and they are sitting right outside of the gates of Tier VII. If the Speeders and Os continue to perform poorly, then the Pinkies may just burst into the Top Four.
Tier VIII: Big Four - Savage Speeders, O’rangers, Raspberry Racers, Mellow Yellow
Yup. Unchanged from 2023. Even though the positions of all four teams have become less convincing than when I made the tier list in 2023, I still think that these four teams are still the pinnacle of Marble Sports. First of all, I don’t think anyone would doubt the greatness of the Savage Speeders, even though they’ve started to falter in the past three years. Most medals, most points, and finishing top 3 for 5 out of 11 seasons. Oh, and being the only team to appear in all 11 Marble Leagues. Sure, that 15th this year stinks, but you still have your past legacy to look back to. Then, the O’rangers. Even though the O’rangers have slowed to a crawl, even failing to qualify for Marble League 2024 and 2026, they’re still a solid team with the tied third most medals in the Marble League, and the team with the third most amount of points, with the three remaining original members of the team all being in the top 20 for points individually. But ultimately, the O’rangers are already eclipsed by the Raspberry Racers, who I said in 2023 could dethrone the O’rangers as the second best team. Well now, they have - they are now the 2nd most successful team by raw points. Even their worst finish in 2025 was a 12th last season, and that was with 2 medals. They are consistently good, and had the most successful season in Marble League history. The last spot of the Big Four goes to Mellow Yellow, who are the 4th most successful team by points, and while their wins have been scrappy and their lows being quite bad, they are still a team with four overall podiums, home to one of the best athletes ever. Mellow Yellow has also finally gotten out of their “polarizing results era”, finishing mid-table for both 2023 and 2026. I think if the current trajectories continue, Mellow Yellow may even dethrone the O’rangers to become the 3rd best team. O’rangers, please don’t let this happen.
And that’s it! Did I overrate or underrate some teams? What parts of it do you disapprove? And how badly will this age? Only the future knows.

The United States was created almost exactly at the midpoint of the Qing Dynasty's lifespan
The Qing Dynasty was born in April 1636 in Manchuria, and took Beijing in April 1644 and claiming the Mandate of Heaven.
The United States was created in July 1776, 132/140 years and three months after the formation of the Qing Dynasty.
The Qing collapsed on February 12th, 1912 with the abdication of the last Emperor, 135 years and 7 months after the formation of the United States.
Now this should be obvious: What's a country that's dangerous in 2016, but its safe in the present?

[SPOILER] probably just won best captain
With the Snowballs winning a bronze at the event, Snowy now leads the best captain award with 96 points. 2nd place is Royal from the Kobalts at 70. With both the Underwater Race and Sand Rally being individual events, then unless Sumo AND Rallycross are both team events (which is highly improbable), Snowy has just won the Best Captain Award.
Congrats to the underrated GOAT Snowy!!!
