It’s day 28 of flower on my first grow, and there’s a few branches shorter than others. I’ve been practicing some leaf tucking, and occasionally trimming some fan leaves so that everyone is getting light.

Is there anything I can do to help them catch up?

Day 26 of flower on my very first grow - Trainwreck Photoperiod - and I have never been happier. This may be an odd question but do you guys ever have like…favorite buds? Like I open my tent and there’s like 2-3 that I look for every time and there they are to greet me 😂

I am absolutely in love with growing this dang plant. I’ve already bought a shit ton more seeds to keep it going, too. I made sure to get a bunch since I learned about the seed ban.

Thanks to all of you fine folks who’ve helped me along on this journey. Now here’s to Flowering and moving forward!

Hey, everyone!

In July I started up an online Curio/Antique/Art shop that caters towards the Catholic Goth niche (but also includes goth and religious markets as a whole). I am looking for an artist who specializes in designing death metal album art to help me build my brand image and logo.

My shop name, Via Dolorosa, means “Way of Suffering.” It’s the pathway Christ walked to the place of the skull where He was crucified. The image I want designed would be of a brutally wounded Christ traveling the Via Dolorosa to be crucified.

I want to intimate the ethos behind this project to help potential artists understand my motivation:

I want it to offend people’s delicate sensitivities. Now, I’m not trying to be provocative purely for the sake of being offensive, but I want the imagery to confront the viewer with the brutality and suffering of Christ’s sacrifice, rather than presenting it in a sanitized or overly romanticized way.

My max budget is $200 USD. I’ll present more detailed information and references for this project to any artists interested in the gig. For now, I’ll post a few of the references for you to get an idea.

It’s my first grow ever, and even though there’s been lots of bumps in the road, getting to see some nugs starting to appear on this plant I grew from a wee babe is just…like the coolest feeling ever.

Also, am I the only one who just loves to hang out with my plant? I didn’t even do anything with her but water tonight but I just hung out for like two hours just chilling with her. Man I love growing this plant.

I’m in the process of starting a new business, and I’m looking for a real artist to help design my brand image.

I had been looking around on Fiverr and have been struggling to find an artist that isn’t some scam bot. I recently got a new follower, and on his profile he had some art I was interested in.

He doesn’t have many followers, so I thought maybe he was just a small time artist needing some work. So I thought, well I’ll just give this guy some patronage and help him out and start building a brand!

The more we talked, the more his responses began to sound somewhat…AI-ish? I thought, maybe English isn’t his native language, so I can forgive that.

Then his responses sounded more sycophantic, very similar to how ChatGPT talks. He never had any questions about my design idea, which means either I explained it extremely clearly and he perfectly comprehended my idea, or he’s just trying to get to the payment goal.

I’ve never bought any online art commissions before, so maybe his 50% up front ask is normal, but I honestly assumed there would be some kind of early render with watermarks all over it before any kind of money changed hands. Also, when he sent his payment details, it’s for a bank in Indonesia, and the account holder name is different than the name on the Wise account he sent me (which I’ve also never heard of).

I haven’t sent anything over as there were several red flags, and although $100 wouldn’t be the end of the world, I’d still be out $100 and with no artwork.

Can you guys please help me figure this out before potentially making a mistake?

Hey everyone, first time grower here.

I took some clones off of my main plant roughly a week or so ago, and I’m wondering how long it usually takes for roots to be established.

I started with 16, now I’m down to 10. And I can tell I’m going to lose a couple more in the next couple of days. I did not use any cloning gel, btw.

My Trainwreck photoperiod is currently a day shy of two weeks into flower. When I say this thing is a viny mess, I mean it. I’ve culled quite a few smaller branches during veg, especially right before flipping, but I’m wondering if I should cull a few more.

I don’t want to stress her out too much, but at the same time, I don’t want too much extra growth hindering her progress. Is it better to have fewer, thicker branches, or more medium sized branches? I know with it only being a couple weeks into flower I should expect more growth coming up, so I don’t want to cull too many if it isn’t necessary.

I’ve got a small handful picked out that I believe would be perfect candidates. What do you all think?

While training I split the main stem so I wanted to take it easy and let her heal up, but this actually ended up making those two way stronger than I anticipated and despite my best efforts they have gotten bigger than the rest of the branches.

From soil to tip they’re sitting at roughly 25-27”, with the rest of them sitting between 20-24”. I’m currently in a 70” 2x2, and I’m accounting roughly 12” to accommodate for exhaust and light for around 58” of total grow height.

I know I should expect my plant to double in size, so currently the tallest ones I can estimate to sit at 54”, but that kind of leaves out some space for the lower sites. I have, however, heard that Trainwreck can grow especially tall, so I’m trying to leave a small margin in case it gets too tall and is danger of overtaking the light.

Do you think it’s time I flipped, or should I try scrogging one last time to try and get those taller limbs managed? Scrogging one more time and pushing it out another week or two could give me some time to let the lower sites catch up a wee bit, but I run the risk of losing space in my tent.

Help me Grow-bi wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope.

Am I able to pour more in at another time to complete the mold, or do I need to let this cure, and completely start over?

Doing some training and the main two branches split because I’m a freaking dumbass.

Is my plant going to die? Can I save this still?

Do you guys ever have issues with “dark spots” where certain sides of the plant aren’t getting enough PPFD/DLI because of equipment being in the way?

If so, are there any tips or tricks you use to prevent this?

She’s been sitting in distilled water changed regularly in the tent with her big sister, wasn’t really sprouting but maybe a couple baby roots.

On Sunday I thought, “well, maybe there’s no harm in putting her in some coco!” So I put her in come coco along with some perlite and earthworm casings, a little bit of Superthrive and Canna Rhizotonic to help with the shock…but here we are, two days later, and she looks totally cooked.

Is there any way I can save her at this point? I only took her outside to get the picture btw.
