Bad driving

Saw this today.…person in the far right lane wanting to skip the line for the left lane to go into a strip mall. they kept creeping up until they were quite literally in the middle of the intersection and causing a hazard for cars trying to clear it. might as well have blown the light at this point. unbelievable what people will do to save 1-2 minutes.

Maintaining Speed

driving in this morning and was playing tag with an suv. i stay in the right lane and I maintain 60mph. downhill, uphill, corners I maintain 60mph. We must have exchanged positions a dozen times because they are completely unaware of their speed and road conditions. are these drivers so distracted or uninformed that they don’t realize they have slowed down 15mph or have accelerated 15mph? does it not click for them that going uphill they have to depress the accelerator in order to maintain speed and going down hill to let off to maintain speed? Crazy and I see it all the time every day. The best Are the ones who try to pass and cant Maintain speed then road rage at me.

Balance is broken.

4 minutes into the game and there are only 3 friendly planes left on my team. of course two of the three are Russian. its Just frustrating to be forced into a 1v10+ every game because of the meta of climb thunder. I know what the masses will say. USA pilots dumb. which I kind of agree unfortunately I tell them all to side climb to 20kft + and get told to shut up and I’m stupid. at the same though lets be real…there is no way to do that effectively from such a close range when almost every single plane can out climb you. I know what’s next. equalize energy. right so then you have to spend 12-15 minutes trying to extend so you can build separation to then build speed again. i cant do this meta anymore. This is exactly why I play this game less and less. it’s time to move the bases further apart to allow more time to climb or we need to extend realistic battles to one hour again to allow everyone time to climb. then balance it so the ground game doesn’t end the match.

Explosive damage

it’s my opinion that putting an explosive device of your own next to a structure that you built or your team should damage or destroy them When they explode. I think it would add immersion to the game. here is an example of what I am talking about. A mine exploding on top of the enemies nodes. I believe it should damage or destroy certain objects. almost like they should get a health bar like a tank for explosive ordnance.

Vietnam era Huey makes a flyby

Heard the distinct chop of a Huey and ran outside to spot this gem making a flyby! I actually got to sit in this exact helicopter many years ago! At the time both pilot and co-pilot were retired Apache pilots from the Iraq war.

Teammate in a p51D was jumped by these two in yaks. the pilot of the p51 was smart enough to use his superior level flight speed to run. He called out for help and I was perfectly positioned to swoop in from 6k feet(2000m) to delete these two commies and help clear my teammates 6:00.

I always say sim battles are where USA planes will actually be able to out perform and dominate their openers thanks to the “open“ map, lack of virtual instructor with mouse aim.
