My Rim to Rim tattoo
Three days before the flood I managed to do Rim to Rim. Today I got a tattoo of the trail commemorating my hike.

My local coffee shop themed their menu this month with OTGW.
Someone in my office accidentally said I had the Norman hole punch (instead of normal), and now it has a name and decal that nobody else around me is cool enough to understand.
Last year I saw the artist Wheelwright (previously of Jared and the Mill) in concert, and have been obsessed with him and his sound since. However I would like to find similar artists. Also, I am not sure what genre his sound is. It’s like almost folk rock country? Just kind of a raw and intimate sound I find really appealing.
Any recommendations?
I found a good indoor use for the Instinct torch. Yesterday evening I was reading while listening to some albums (peak hipster doofus, I know) and as the sun went down, instead of getting up to turn on a lamp, I just ignited my Instinct Torch. Its lowest setting is bright enough and placed perfectly for reading on the couch.
I can’t do much of anything on it yet but I found an stl file for an obstacle to learn stuff with. I wanted something that had a good mix of features and this one seemed to be both compact and packed with elements to learn on. (Then made it a little more loved in with stickers).
So I haven’t had a fingerboard since I was just out of high school in the late 90’s (like first tech deck days - yes I know I’m old). About a month ago some coworkers bought some VERY cheap party favors skateboards. I’ve been messing around with one at my desk since and even though the wheels don’t even turn consistently it rekindled something buried.
So I present my first actual fingerboard in over a quarter of a century. (I know Teak Tuning seems to be just a budget fingerboard, but that’s what I need for now). And for my first time applying/trimming the grip tape I think I did rather well.
I know it’s nothing fancy, but it’s a start.
I just got my new Instinct 3 solar, I went with 50mm, after sporting the same Apple Watch for the past 7 years.
Went for my first long walk and I have to say only decreasing 3% of my battery over 15 miles is amazing. A few weeks ago I did the same and the Apple watch died before I finished my walk.
I’m still getting used to all the features and options, but so far am loving it. I’m currently using the Instinct Pro watch face, but am definitely interested if anybody has suggestions. I am an avid hiker, cyclist, and walker (currently training for a Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon later this summer).
With the painting of the Reflecting Pool, I couldn't help but make this Invincible Meme with a picture I took from Crater Lake. The reflecting Pool is great, but no matter what, it will never be as amazing as what nature provides.
