How different has the treatment been for everyone post op?

So, for me I received a spinal block for my ACL reconstruction surgery, they did a hamstring graft. The research I did here, on the internet, and talk I had with another doctor are completely different from what I got in the end.

So, the first doctor I went to quoted up to 2.5lakhs INR (with everything covered), while the second doctor the one I got my surgery from quoted 1.3lakhs INR (with everything covered). I didn't expect to stay in the ICU after my surgery for almost an entire day. The medicine I received was mainly through the vein for almost 2 days.

After an entire day in the ICU, I was shifted to the room. I walked with a physiotherapist in the ICU a day after the surgery. I was asked to walker assistance with full weight bearing on my knee. My physio started on Sunday (the day after my discharge), it's day 5 of post op, and I'm able to walk up and down stairs, bend up to 45 degrees in the sitting position already.

The previous doctor said, I will be needing crutches, and I will stay in hospital only for a day, I was really hoping to get general anesthesia but they went for spinal block as they have to put a ventilator.

How different was your surgery experience from this?

Did I reach 45 degrees flexion?

In rehab now, the doctor said I should reach 45 degrees flexion by this Friday (my next appointment to remove stitches). Also, my physio said it will take 2-3 years to do full sports recovery 🫠 was really looking forward to hike in 6 months as that's what my previous doctor said.

Day 2 post op of my ACL reconstruction surgery, Day 3 of journaling

Finally got discharged today, got a new hamstring graft and the damaged meniscus was removed. Started walking yesterday but I have a headache, every time I sit, I got regional anesthesia. The doctor said I will be able to walk without a walker's assistance at home within a week or two.

I'm from India, and I'm 23, my family is forcing me to get married soon. They think that's beneficial for me, one of my uncle's (whom I'm not even close with started looking for matches even, like wtf??) Really hoping for a speedy recovery. Will I be a bad daughter if I move out for the sake of me, to explore my independence idk?

Anyway, my physio will start from tomorrow, I have already practiced walking yesterday, and today with a walker. I was able to go up stairs as well.

Can't wait to unlock more physical abilities 😬✌️

Day T-1 op, Day 2 of journaling

Hello everyone,

This is day 2 of me documenting my ACL reconstruction surgery+ recovery. I did everything to prepare but damn! I'm nervous af today smh. I cleaned my bathroom, kept my kneebrace aside along with clothes required for the hospital. Started my fasting window, although don't know what to do with all the excessive saliva, can't even have water right now lol.

Anyway, hoping for everything to go smoothly, after my usual post meal walk I definitely regretted the choice that got me here. Maybe that day I shouldn't have gone to learn two wheeler? Idk... Anyway it's been 8 years now. The last 8 years have basically lead me to this moment which is tomorrow. Nighty night! See you on the recovery side.

Day: T-2 OP, Day 1 of journaling

Hello everyone,

This is me attempting to document the first surgery in my life which is ACL reconstruction in my right knee. Right now it doesn't even feel like there's any issue in my knee but the pain starts the moment I bend it in a certain way so gotta stay humble. Lowkey nervous ngl! Got my clothes ready for hospital, already informed at where I need to inform. So, everything is ready, well almost! Gotta clean my bathroom tomorrow, go visit my grandmother, and go on a fast till the surgery time 😮‍💨

Hoping everything goes well 🤞🤞

My building's infrastructure scares me more and my surgery is in a week 🥲 any tips on how to go up and down the stairs

Getting my ACL reconstruction in a week on my right knee. Need to climb up/down one flight of stairs to get to the elevator 😔 the bad part is my left knee feels sensitive for some reason, not hurting but just sensitive and disturbed. Going to the doctor to schedule the surgery today, I will let him know about the left knee as well.

Snowflakes fr! 🤡

What is with the false equivalency bruh? What's the relation with mythologies and world wars? When I said who started world wars he went to Ramayana, Mahabharata and Odyssey. Everyone love to say that the reason Rama killed Ravana is because he kidnapped Seetha don't know Ramayana itself well 🤦 Ravan is a danav, he r*ped Rambha, he also disrupted many yajnas and killed sages.

The war between Pandavas and Kauravas didn't just happen because of Draupadi, it happened because Kauravas are f*cking a**holes and Dharma Raju is nothing short of being just a people pleaser 🤦🤦. There are many many things that lead to wars not just women ughgh, and I could just go on and on about all these false narratives.

How to just off yourself ?

Man, I swear every time I think I have solved a problem and surviving somehow and things start to get better something else comes up and pulls me down, it's been like a two steps forward, 10 steps backward situation for me. I don't think I can take it anymore, just tell me how to get it over with ig.

Getting my ACL reconstruction surgery at the end of this month and a little scared ngl

Hey guys! So, I'm getting my ACL reconstruction surgery at the end of this month and the doctor said they will harvest the hamstring tendon. First I assumed that bones actually grow back (a little dumb I know) but then doctor said that it won't. Now, I'm scared actually.

I have a tear on my meniscus and my ACL is completely torn. I'm acting all fine but really scared because of anesthesia and also what if I can't walk and hike again? 🤧

I really need some reassurance

When you had a bad day, not sure about what to do next, and hit a really bad phase, what can you do? Oh IK just dress up even if it's to the doctor 😛

Why are people turning against vaccinations ?

As an Indian it really hurts me to see these people from western countries going against vaccinations. A lot of people from rural areas in India, and other under developed countries would kill for vaccines. I genuinely don't understand people who are anti vax, etc.

Mana daridram entante India lo kuda start chesaru, body natural immunity ani 🤦‍♀️ eradicate aina diseases ni malli testunnaru, babies can't get few vaccines until they reach a certain age, there are also people who are immunocompromised (they can't get vaccines) if these people don't vaccinate themselves then they are also putting other vulnerable kids lives at risk.

I just hope people will not get influenced by this sh!t do their own research and actually get their kids vaccinated.

Appreciating this song (Avunu Nijam) more after someone explained the lyrics 😌✨

Unable to find the original post now but someone explained this part of the song in relation to the movie in a post, and I understood how deep it actually is.

The part:

"sudi gaalilo teliyani parugulu teestunnaa

jadapoolato chelimiki samayamu dorikenaa

yedaremundo tamarini vivaramuladigaanaa

yada emando vinamani tarumuku raalenaa

tappuko kallumoosukuni tulli raake na venta

voppuko ninnu nammamani allukunta ne janta

nadapaduga ninu nadi varada

telusu kada aa aa

telise ila muncheyyaala"

Basically what oop said was that the hero is faking his identity and deep down he is swimming in his own sea of problems (with the assassination of politician, CBI hunting him, death of Parthu, etc), even in all of this problems he fell for Poori, this song is him trying to tell her that he loves her but he can't have her because he is already drowning and barely floating in a sea of issues, but it doesn't matter for her because she is ready to face them all with.

"

tappuko kallumoosukuni tulli raake na venta

voppuko ninnu nammamani allukunta ne janta

nadapaduga ninu nadi varada

telusu kada aa aa

telise ila muncheyyaala"

Especially these lines man, he is asking her to not follow her blindly and she is asking him to just accept and she will come with him, he emphasizes that the flood won't let her move forward but she is too deep top leave now. The later part of the film addresses this, when even after knowing that he is a contract killer, she is still ready to go with him.

"Nenu vastanu"

"Nene vastanu"

So brilliant I swear 🤌

I think the oop explained it better than me but can't seem to find that post now smh 😭

Anyone else keeps getting this page on their feed regularly and also feels something is off? inframe: stealth.mode.savings

I understand that this account was created as a form of keeping accountability to clear debt, but something feels very off to me like she has been doing this for 100 days and no way her husband did not notice their debt vanishing. She said they accumulated this debt because of credit cards, from a trailer, some business loan they took for a small business?

And also keeping her debt aside, I don't understand people donating to her, I don't think she is in a place where people should donate to help her pay off and instagram pays for engagement right? I feel like there are so many better causes to donate.

She also started sharing her kids faces in her new reels and that's giving me an ick. Ffs keep your kids faces off the internet guys for the love of God what the hell.

What do you guys think about uploading an entire movie in shorts?

Okay, so lately whenever I open YouTube shorts randomly, I keep getting shorts where an entire movie is cut down fast forwarded with the "Tabah ho gaye" song in the background. I open the comments and someone shared the entire story there, I feel like I watched a lot of movies like that lol, and after knowing the story I'm no longer interested in watching the film now.

Adding to this there are also way too many clips of a movie uploaded in the shorts form and I think I know the entire story from those shorts itself (one example I can give is TJMM), I was planning on watching it on Netflix sometime but I'm no longer interested now.

I know if not shorts we will have full YT videos available of a particular scene from a movie but I think that's much different because in case of the long form videos on YouTube, people who have watched the film will watch them later and it's more like an option but in case of YT shorts it feels unavoidable because they keep coming up as you keep scrolling.

What do you guys think of this?

Three gems from different languages I caught in theatres this month

Obsession: The actors killed it with what was given to them, Inde Navarrette smile still creeps me lol. Chala rojulu tarvata I actually enjoyed horror, I mean this movie goes way deeper than being just a horror film, and the way Inde acted man I was just blown away like she pulled off the role so well, the movie wouldn't have worked out without her probably.

Sing geetham: A breath of fresh air in our industry filled with saviour films, I was so glad to see more Telugu actors on screen (the bar is so low), also the lead actress actually has dusky skin it wasn't just them doing make up on a fair girl to make her dusky 😭 this movie was grounded, fun, and so beautiful. Konni bokkalu unnay le with CG elements, and there are some holes in the story and also with a forced cameo but I enjoyed the film, and the performances nevertheless.

Mein wapas aaunga: Ippude show finish cheskoni vacha, I seriously cried in the end, tbh the plot is pretty confusing, I could sense the confused writing in the film for sure but a lot better than whatever bollywood is churning these days. The music, performances, everything was just top notch, the plot could have been a little better. If you're an Imtiaz Ali fan you will like it. Everyone is talking about Naseeruddin Shah but man Vedang did so well with what was given to him, he just nailed his performance.

I saw a lot of people complaining about Vedang and Sharvari's pairing but personally I liked them, it did not look odd for me, I think their chemistry worked out well. The love story isn't the soul of this film though, it's just a plot device to explore the trauma people went through during the time of partition, the last song, and the scenes with Naseeruddin in the end made me cry fr 🫠

If you don't know what movie you wanna catch in the theatre, please choose one of these. I would pick one of these any day over Eddi.

This scene from Neninthe feels so relevant today

This scene from Neninthe feels so relevant after Peddi release, I haven't watched the movie nor planning to, but from RC's speeches, trailers, etc, this movie definitely comes off as taking audience for granted, and B, C centres vallu ilanti scenes unte chustaru ane vibes vachay but I think if they genuinely make a good film with some commercial elements here and there the movie will work.

Saying that B, C centres fans only expect this stuff is pure ignorance, inka SA scene undi anta, idk what kind of fans want to watch their favourite hero SAing the heroine, intimate scenes with consent are much different.

Naga Vamsi lanti producers me mohalaki cinemalu tiyyadame ekkuva anna poi chustunnaru janalu ento, matladte fans kosame antaru, appudu aa cinema teste mere chudaledu, ayanalo unna actor sachipoyadu, kevalam producers ni satisfy cheyataniki testunnadu, fans kosam testunnadu antaru, as if they are not getting paid some crores of money.

Karma ra babu 🤦‍♀️

Inta arrogance chusaka aite Naku telugu cinemalu chudali anna interest dobbindi, I was having a discussion with my friend this morning about Peddi, and he told me how regressive the movie is along with shitty visuals. Tell me this isn't taking the audience for granted. Where did 350 cr go?

I'm not only talking about Peddi here, TFI right now has gone to dogs fr, Telugu movie antaru, hero tappa andaru bayta valle, even the crew, no language pride or whatsoever. We need some Bollywood range boycott Telugu films moment, lekapothe ide crap tesi vadulutaru, aina mana banisalu chustaru ento.

End of rant.
