[Loved trope] the armor really does protect
Too many times I see full plate armos that are pierced or cut by simple weapons with minimal effort. So this is refreshing when the said armors are really useful and not for decor.
The Last Duel : the 2 opponents have to use the weak spots of the armors for really hurting each other.
Game of Thrones : nope, a thin blade can’t pierce a brigandine.
Vinland Saga : the warriors without armor are more easy to kill while those who are well equipped have more chance to survive the battles.
