For the first time in 20 years, I am no longer pre-diabetic!!! 🥳🥳 This drug is miraculous.

I am completely over the moon. People seem to forget this drug was initially created for blood sugar control.

I took the initiative and put myself on this drug. I am on it primarily for inflammation, metabolic issues, osteoarthritis and blood sugar control.

I love it!!!!

Sharing a few benefits of Tirzepetide, beyond weight loss.

I am microdosing Tirzepetide for a variety of metabolic reasons and to lower inflammation.

Clinical trials have proven it can SLIGHTLY reduce total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides.
Thats an added bonus. After being on it 10 weeks, I love it. I hope to be on it or something similar for life.

Tirzepatide is NOT only a GLP-1. Tirzepatide is a DUAL GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist, meaning it is both. Dual Agonist: Tirzepatide is a dual GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist.

There are people like me who are taking a low dose for metabolic reasons, inflammation, MASH, kidney protection, joint pain reduction,
osteoarthritis and increasingly MANY other health conditions.

I lost about 10 pounds and I am stable at my current weight. My BMI is 20. I am on a maintainence dose. I am not taking it to lose weight .
My physician approves of me taking it as long as I don’t become underweight.
I plan on staying on this indefinitely! ❤️

Taking Ezetimibe on MY terms while figuring out my next steps

I started taking Ezetimibe almost 1 month ago. I did my research and found that taking half a tablet was almost as effective as taking a whole tablet.

I informed my physician that I would be taking half a tablet and she is okay with it.

From day one, I took .5mg. I had minor issues until last week.

Last week I had “gastrointestinal issues “ and I was exhausted for two days.
I stopped using it for one week. Ezetimibe has a very long half-life.

I started taking it again last night. I took half a tablet with a little food. I also took it with Q10.

If you take statins you should also be taking Q10. I will throw up another post on that.

I plan to take .5mg of Ezetimibe every 4 days.

My body my choice.
I have high Lp (a) and will be going to see a preventative cardiologist in the next few weeks.

I recently realized that I am the love of my life. I am the only person who will be with myself, from birth until death.

Wow! I love my CGM. I ate 3 tiny pieces of chocolate last night. My blood sugar has been slightly higher than normal for 16 hours!!! I threw the chocolate away. I can handle most carbs much better than sugars!!

My blood sugar shot up like a rocket! 🚀
I can handle most complex carbs fairly well.
What surprised me was that my blood sugar remains about 5 points higher than normal.
Even 16 hours later!!!

Have I been doing this wrong? 😅Do you count total carbs or net carbs? I have been focused on net carbs. I am wondering if I should focus on both?

My goal is under 105 net carbs. Sometimes my total carbs seem a bit high. I use Cronometer to track calories/nutrients etc.
Today my net carbs are 102 and my total carbs are 170! Yikes! Shouldn't my total carbs be under 150? I met with a dietitian a few times and she told me to focus on fiber and net carbs. My diet is vegetarian/vegan and fairly high fiber.
Thanks in advance.

I increased to 2mg. last night and I feel great. 😅

If I ever go up to 3mg. I am still gonna post on here. I will be on a maintenance dose eventually.

Update to my newbie post. I was worried about telling my primary care. I met with my primary care doctor and it went well!! She advised me I should not go below 125 pounds. That would make me underweight. I told her when I get to my GW of 130, I plan to microdose for metabolic reasons.

My primary updated my records documenting that I am on Tirzepatide with a smile. She asked who my provider was. I told her it was Lavender Sky. She told me they work with a local compounding pharmacy. She can get me a lighter higher dose, that would be cost-effective.
I plan to stick with Lavender Sky. If I ever decide to leave LS I can go with my provider's pharmacy!
Winning 🎉

I’m tired of hearing excuses about “why” Mecca behaves the way that he does. Mecca is almost 30 years old. He is responsible for his mental health. Many if not most of us have mental health issues. At some point adults have to seek the treatment they need.

Going through adulthood and not getting therapy and treatment is a choice. Especially when you can afford therapy! If Mecca can afford to get his nails done, his hair done and buy his weird clothes, he can afford a good mental health therapist.

I’m not giving Mecca a pass for any of his behaviors. Regardless of who did what to him and who was not there for him.

If Mecca is not getting the extensive therapy he needs, that is a choice.

I’m blaming Mecca 100% for his current attitude and behavior.✌🏾

Do you prefer injecting on a full stomach, an empty stomach, or slightly full stomach? What has worked best for you?

I am preparing for my second injection and I am figuring out what works best for me.

🤗Empty stomach, slightly full or full stomach before injection? What works best for you? I have read to avoid greasy and heavy foods before injection. Do you hydrate before or after injection?

As I prepare for my second injection, I am trying to figure out what will work best for me.

I feel incredible! I took my first dose Tuesday night. My main side effect is feeling at peace.

This is wonderful. My blood sugar and blood pressure are slightly lower. I have not lost weight. My stomach is a bit flatter. I am looking forward to going up to 1mg. on Monday night. 🤗

Blood sugar lowered after my first dose of Tirzepatide! I am a believer! 🙌🏾

I am taking Tirzepatide for inflammation, insulin resistance and to lose about 15 pounds. I have been pre-diabetic for years.
I started wearing a CGM a few months ago.

I took my first dose of Tirzepatide last night.
.5mg and my blood sugar is a tad lower already. I’m so happy.

Split-dosing indefinitely or long-term? I took my first dose yesterday; I had very mild side effects. I plan to take a second dose this evening. 😅

My NP prescribed 1mg. a week as my starting dose. I took .5mg last night and I plan to take .5mg again this evening.

I had very minor side effects last night. I craved and drank a lot of water. I ate early.
I dosed 2 hours after eating
I had a protein shake and some crackers after my injection.

My primary side-effect was sleepiness. I slept extremely well and just woke up from a great nap.

Does anyone else prefer to split dose, indefinitely or permanently? Do you wait 2-3 days between splitting the dose? Do you split-dose on consecutive days?

Is split dosing on consecutive days too soon?

I plan to continue to split dosing, for the time being. 🤗

Tips for newbies starting to microdose? My first shipment is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. I have extra syringes, alcohol wipes, psyillum fiber. I am printing out the dosage calculations chart sent by my nurse. I plan to inject before bed..

I plan to hydrate well tomorrow. I am ordering a refrigerator thermometer to keep with my vials. I plan to start with 0.5mg and see how it goes

I am a vegetarian and would appreciate tips on what to focus on and what to avoid.

I appreciate any tips and all advice.

I am doing this primarily for inflammation.
After I lose 10-13 pounds I plan to go on maintenance. Hopefully for many years. 🙌🏾
I have several chronic conditions {prediabetes, hypertension, insulin resistance, and plenty of inflammation}.

I have a coworker who lost 90 pounds and currently has a BMI of 25. She says she will be on maintenance for life. If all goes well I feel the exact same way.

Thanks in advance.

Can I get a refund for my deposit?

How and when to tell primary care physician I am microdosing GLP’s? My insurance will not cover them unless I am morbidly obese or insulin-dependent. Those of you who obtained them from on-line providers, have you received “pushback” from your providers?

I am worried that micro-dosing GLP’s might be used against me down the road. Or blamed for many medical issues that I already have.

I have to wait until July 12/13 for my first consult with a provider. 🥲

I am on the Big Easy website and that's the soonest provider consult available.
Sighs.
I guess I can wait 3 weeks to get started.
I am surprised at the delay.
Does anyone know why?
Thanks in advance
