Oregon is currently experiencing a “heat wave” so it’s 85°-95° for a couple of hours and then drops back into the 60s and 70s. Tut and I only moved here a year and a half ago, we’re originally from Florida, so the current temperature is what we’re used to year round, except we aren’t used to it being cool at night…anything below 70° is hoodie weather for me still.

Yesterday I was taking Tut on our afternoon walk which is usually 15 minutes, we go to a park right behind our apartment and he walks in the grass, not on the sidewalk or asphalt. Someone came up to me and said I was being mean for taking him on a walk because it’s so hot out and he’s so fluffy.

I thought it was weird since he wasn’t showing any signs of being hot or tired, he was prancing as usual and like I said, his paws were on grass. I just kind of made a confused face and kept walking. We got home and I gave him some frozen veggies as a treat, and now I’m wondering if I am in the wrong for taking him outside for a walk around the park or if that person was just being weird.

I mean, I see the vision.

He knows he’s royalty and deserves to be carried. 😅

There was a post in that “Peter explain the joke” subreddit that keeps popping up on my feed, someone posted a picture of a dinner table and the steak was in front of the person taking the photo and a salad in front of the man across from them and they captioned “I love acts of micro feminism” after mentioning that the boyfriend ordered for her. The post is gone now, but there were SO many angry comments from men.

Saying stuff like the server didn’t deserve a tip and she was intentionally being antagonistic, etc. when in reality we don’t know if she was.

These were just some of my favorite arguments thrown at me.

I think Tut is a standard sized Pom and I swear he gets fat shamed every time we go to the vet.

He’s 4 years old and 8lbs, he’s been 7.5-8.5lbs since he was fully grown and they keep telling me that he needs to be 6lbs. His biological sister lives with my ex and he confirmed that she’s about the same size.

He’s active and I switched his food to a “weight management” formula last year. If he gets people food, it’s usually vegetables or plain chicken.

Don’t worry, we didn’t let him chew on it, it was snatched up right after snapping a pic.

I see a lot of “how do I dress goth in the summer?” posts and it amuses me every time because I’m originally from Florida, so that’s all I really know…switching to fall/winter clothes when I moved to Oregon has been an adjustment.

Side note, I ended up changing my shorts in pic #3 to another pair of black shorts in a similar style, these ones were a bit too tight and I didn’t take another picture after changing. That outfit was my day 1 outfit because the top is a swimsuit top and I was wearing swimsuit bottoms as well (pic #4).

Not pictured is my daily breakfast buffet fit of a band tee and leggings, nothing too exciting.

Not showcased well are my fishnets, I get those from Snag Tights. Wanted to give them a shoutout because as a tall (6’2) plus sized woman, finding nylons is a challenge and I’m not even their biggest size.

Okay, off to the pool now, maybe I’ll share the rest of my outfits at the end of the trip.

We never bring him inside places unless it’s okay, was shocked that he was invited in, but we ended up having the best pizza we’ve ever had!
