Thank you San Francisco!

I posted on here about two weeks ago asking about pride weekend, specifically if it would be OK for an older trans person to present fem outside of pride context. Well, I am happy to say that I spent a whole week in the bay area and never wore 'male' cloting the entire time.. We went everywhere, restaurants, museums, shopping, walking tours, etc,etc,etc.. and all the while I wore nothing but skirts and dresses the entiere time. It was so nice to just live as I want to and dress as I want to and not have to worry one bit about the judgement of others. We had a great vacation and I never felt more comfortable in my own skin.. So thank you SF! I will be back some day.

Headed to pride weekend

I am flying to San Francisco tomorrow and it just so happens to be pride weekend. I am an older M2F trans person so I plan to wear skirts and dresses to pride events. But what about non pride events? Should I just stay in my female clothes when doing touristy things like going to a museum or out to dinner? Or, should I plan on going back to the hotel and putting on pants before going out to do those things? A big part of me really wants to just say screw it and not pack any boy clothes at all for the entire week long trip.

Doing non pride things this weekend?

I am flying into SFO tomorrow. Not coming specifically for pride weekend but it is a very happy coincidence. I am trans M2F and naturally I will be wearing skirts or dresses to pride events and the parade. But what about being dressed and doing other things. I realize SF is a very LGBTQ safe city, but will I be judged if I am wearing a dress to a museum or out to dinner? For the record I am an older person (mid 60s) and probably not very passable. Should I plan on going back to the hotel to change into pants before going out to do non pride things in town this weekend, or should I just go for it and wear dresses the whole time?

Air in water lines

Anyone else notice that sometimes there is air coming out of their faucets with the water? How the heck does that even happen. I think it is causing issues with my toilet tank not refilling. Whenever it does not refil and I open the tank to jiggle the valve to get it started.. air bubbles come put first. Again,,,, how the hell does that even happen? How can air get into a water system that is pressurised ?

Pencil test

Someone on Reddit mentioned earlier today something called the pencil test. Apparently a ritual where the school nurse would test girls by seeing if a pencil stayed held up under there boobs.. meaning they had to start wearing a bra to school... WEll.. I just checked... I pass the pencil test on both boobs LOL YEA

What should we avoid.

Living in New Orleans I know what places to tell tourists to avoid. Tourist traps that are just not that good. So what are places like that in San Francisco? I would imagine some of the seafood places on fisherman’s wharf would be like that. We will be in town for pride weekend want to get seafood cioppino. Some dumplings in china town etc. but if we can avoid tourist traps that would be great.

Visiting during pride weekend

I will be visiting SF at the end of June and by happy coincidence I will be there for the Pride parade. How crazy is that parade? Super crowded? My hotel is just a few blocks from Market street so transportation in not an issue.. but do you have to go camp out early to get a spot to watch the parade or can you just show up and see it? Also, open to any and all suggestions about what to see and do in your beautiful city.

Visiting next month.

Hello, I am from New Orleans looking to visit your city next month. On the r/NewOrleans Redit, whenever someone makes a post like this they are directed to an FAQ about the city. I was wondering if Seattle has something similar that I could look at. Looking for quirky places to stay, things not to miss, Safe places for LGBTQ people etc. Thank you for any pointers you can give me.
