Thoughts on this? Considering we do play Afghanistan in ICC events.

Thoughts on this? Considering we do play Afghanistan in ICC events.

Considering the fact that how little international cricket Ireland gets to play, i don't think they are in a position to take the moral stand of not playing the Afghans.

Former Pakistani minister arrested over alleged child rape in 1990s Manchester. How do we get him back in the UK & conduct a proper trial?

He was arrested 2 years ago, released on bail, fled to Pakistan.

Claimed he was too ill to travel back to the UK to report to police as per his bail , photos and videos showed him campaigning for the AJK election instead as a PML-N candidate.

This is setting up an interesting situation. He has about 6 weeks left before the UK starts demanding the criminal extradition of a sitting AJK Assembly MP, a historic first.

Do you have you scones the Polish way or the Indonesian way?

Team Poland here 🇵🇱

But truthfully I've never tried the Indonesian way 🇮🇩 so I don't know if it's better.

Agadir - Morocco with a 17-month-old: Surprisingly kid-friendly, safe, and fun (stick to the city itself)

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Agadir with our 17-month-old and wanted to share because it exceeded our expectations in almost every way.

The good stuff

Agadir felt very modern, clean, and genuinely toddler/kid-friendly — noticeably more so than Marrakech (which we’ve visited before). Sidewalks were mostly stroller-friendly, a lot of restaurants had kids’ menus and high chairs, and the overall vibe was relaxed.

We stayed at Dominion Palace right in the city center. There was plenty to do on the property itself, but every evening we just walked down to Agadir Bay / Agadir Beach. The beaches were clean, there was a visible police presence, and even walking back at 10:30–11 pm felt completely safe. We never felt scammed or unsafe at any point in the city.

As vegetarians we were worried, but there were so many options and we ended up trying a lot of Moroccan food — absolutely loved it.

We didn’t make it to Croc Park (one of the big kid attractions), but we still had more than enough to do. The cable car up to the old Kasbah was a highlight and really enjoyable.

Useful apps

inDrive for taxis (worked great) - Be prepared to pay a bit extra for nicer cars

Glovo for groceries and food delivery

Both were cash-only but extremely helpful.

The not-so-good

We did a short side trip and stayed in an Airbnb near Aourir / Adan Beach area. The property was horrible and the area felt shady and unsafe the whole time. We checked out after just one night and went straight back to Agadir.

We also did a quick visit to Taghazout. It’s got a strong hippie / young-people / surfer vibe with narrow streets and lots of small cafés. Cleanliness and overall family-friendliness weren’t great for us with a toddler.

Bottom line

If you’re travelling with a young child, I’d strongly recommend sticking to Agadir itself. The city is modern, safe, walkable, and genuinely enjoyable with a toddler. Skip the surrounding smaller towns if you’re looking for a relaxed family trip.

Side Tip

Used my UK Sterling Bank card, which was accepted seamlessly at all places + no commission charges so it was very helpful.

Happy to answer any questions!

What’s everyone’s favourite seaside town?

Bournemouth, United Kingdom

I’ve started exploring towns and seaside places around Britain for my YouTube to see what they are actually like rather than relying on Google reviews and tourism websites.

The biggest surprise so far has been Bournemouth. I expected an average beach and ended up finding somewhere I enjoyed far more than I thought I would.

Seeking comparison: Family of 3 (with 2-year-old) in Mumbai for 2 nights early November – Budget ~30-35k total, Marriott Bonvoy Silver

Hi everyone, We’re transiting through Mumbai in early November and want to spend 2 nights in the city before our onward journey. It’s me, my wife, and our 2-year-old. We’re looking for a nicer/upscale hotel (ideally with good family facilities like a pool/kids’ options and helpful staff for a toddler) with a max budget of around ₹30-35k total for the 2-night stay (including taxes, breakfast if possible). I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Silver member with 20-30k points available if it helps with an upgrade or award stay. Top priorities:

  • Sea view or beach proximity preferred (I know this might be tight in budget)
  • Family-friendly vibe (spacious room, good service, decent food options suitable for a toddler)
  • Reliable property with positive recent feedback on cleanliness, service, and family experience

After some initial research, these are the properties I’m narrowing down (all Marriott or similar tier):

  1. JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu
  2. Taj Lands End, Mumbai (Bandra)
  3. ITC Grand Central

Questions for those who’ve stayed recently:

  • Between the above (or any strong alternatives in the budget), which would you pick for a short family stay with a toddler?
  • How was the service, food (especially kid-friendly options), pool/sea view experience, and overall value?
  • Any tips on booking (points + cash, room category for best view, etc.) or things to watch out for with a young child?

Are they going to double down now?

Apologies if this is not allowed, but just the local results today look frightening to me. Labour, which was already trying to show everyone that they were getting harder on immigration, will likely double down even more in the vague hope of turning things around, and we already know what the other side of the argument stands for.

Are we all doomed regardless? And is there a chance that the changes they were going to bring in later in the year now gets fast tracked?

I know political discussions are banned, but I just wanted to know the impact of what is happening today to SWV in the short to medium term.
