REMINDER TO COAT BEFORE THE WINTER YALL

ISN’T THAT FRESH COAT JUST SO DELICIOUS TO LOOK AT AHHHHH, this shit was expensive as hell but this baby had some surface rust that needed cleaning up. I’m done dropping money on her for now she got enough love prepping for the crappy weather 😫 now I gotta just do all the fluids she’s almost at 100k. Bonus pics of my baby too I’m just obsessed with her 🥲

Edit ; best blast ll rockaway NJ, if you go there tell them the Jurassic park rig recommended. They are soooo friendly there

Last edit ; yes I dropped a good amount of money doing this but it’s because they do such a thorough and amazing job it is well worth the money especially seeing the before and after photos. Now going forward I can just do it myself and touch it up once a year , I chose to spend that money once to hopefully get my rig to last me a very very long time. No need to show that you are big balled and can do it yourself and you think I over paid bla bla cuz that’s your opinion and idc 🫶🏼

Help

My dog came inside the house with this in the mouth and it’s still alive. I can’t find the Mom or more babies outside. Is it a squirrel? What the heck do I do? I don’t want it to die. It seems OK. It’s just away from the Mom

Update : I called a bunch of places no one wants to take the poor guy. I’m keeping him warm in a dim quiet room for now, he is barely moving I think he is hurt. I’m going to get the milk replacement suggestion from the comments and see if he can make it and try to help him.

Update part 2; I’m pretty sure mom booted him from the tree. I left him on a heating pad in a dark room for a bit and when I checked on him he had little maggot worms crawling out of his mouth and he was no longer moving. I don’t think there was anything I could do beside warm him up and allow him to pass comfortably 🥹 poor little guy. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Tattoo done by Eduardo Badilla Tattoo, in San Ramon Costa Rica

For my birthday my friend did my entire back for me. I am so happy with it but oh my god it hurt like a b*tch. We did a few hours 3 days in a row. We still have to do the color in the crane but for now it is finished. He free handed most of it except for the crane itself. Eduardo Badilla tattoo, San Ramon Costa Rica.

Neighbor leaves things out to attract stray cats.

This is a common occurrence there’s always something disgusting rotting outside and it always smells horrible. I’m not sure how they live with this stuff outside with their open windows. I’ve seen many weird food items, last week I saw the old lady throwing a squirrel head to one of the kittens. I guess another cat took it to her door. The amount of flies that stay around their windows and front door from the cans of cat food and rotting dead animal bodies is absolutely disgusting😭😭😭

Edit; called health department, she is a known issue to them and she told them no matter what she will always feed them. They said she is getting evicted next month, NO SHE WONT BE HOMELESS THEY WERE PACKED TO MOVE ANYWAYS ACCORDING TO HER SON, so shush with your crying in the comments

Edit p2: all you sensetive babies in the comments , she isn’t gonna be homeless Aparently she has been planning on moving for a long time due to all the complaints people have reported, she has somewhere to go according to another neighbor that actually talked to her son, I’m sure her cats will follow as well but you also gotta see my POV , the smell , the bugs , it affects my home as well from her doing this

Found in my apartment bathroom

Currently renting this super old apartment short term and it has this in the bathroom. I recently discovered I could open it. I thought it was a trash can at first because it has this weird opening at the top but that doesn’t make sense. My mom told me it could be where you place an ironing board but what is that little slot opening for then. Any ideas ?

Edit ; it is a build in laundry hamper ?!? Weird weird weird design and terrible ugly. I won’t be using it hahaha

Edit pt 2; y’all im not in New York ! I’ve never seen one of these in my life. I tried to look it up but found nothing , the only “maybe” I found was a closet for ironing board but there isn’t one inside. All you negative Nancie’s talking about “how did you not know durrrrr dummy durrrr” I never saw it 🤣😂 that’s why I asked my Reddit friends and shoot I got my answer real quick 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🫱🏼‍🫲🏻DURRRRR

A little rant, apartment complexes really think tenants are just objects. [NJ]

I’m honestly so frustrated with this apartment complex at this point so I need to rant. My husband and I are in the US while he works a contracted job for most of the year, so we found these apartments to temporarily stay in for the time being until we go back home to Costa Rica. We signed a short term lease so we are definitely leaving once it’s up.

For over a month our AC barely worked while it was over 90° outside. The apartment became so hot that we literally had to leave and stay with family (luckily my mom lives here this is why my husband took the job in this area so we were able to stay with her for a bit) because it was unbearable inside. I couldn’t even use the stove or oven because it made the heat worse, and I came home multiple times to my dogs panting with heat exhaustion, this was the last straw so I left to stay with my mom.

The worst part is management kept brushing it off and basically saying AC “isn’t required,” so they acted like it wasn’t a serious issue. Meanwhile we were paying full rent for an apartment we couldn’t even comfortably stay in.

And this isn’t even the first issue. In the winter our heat went out for almost a week too. Every single maintenance issue in this place takes forever. You have to constantly call and bother them just to get someone to show up, and when they finally do, the work is rushed and half assed. Like I could do a better job on all these fixed but do I want to spend money on these apartments? No.

I finally reported them to the state housing inspection people because I got so fed up, I told my apartments office on the phone I’ll be doing this as well since they tried to tell me I never called and no reports of me asking for the AC to be fixed were written down. Which they were obviously lying because I have all the screen shots of every email call and recording of conversations. Funny enough, THAT is when they suddenly showed up. But all they did was rip the AC unit out and say they’ll “order a new one” and that they “don’t know when it’ll come in.” So now we still don’t have AC.

What’s even more frustrating is the people I reported them to basically said like there’s not much they can really do about it either, and this building isn’t due for inspection for 2 years and they know these apartments just do the bare minimum to pass every 5 years. It feels like tenants are just expected to deal with horrible conditions while management keeps collecting rent and ignoring people until they’re threatened with reports. It’s driving me nuts , I can’t believe the hard earned money is just sucked down by these people.

And honestly, even when we first moved in, the apartment was disgusting. Nothing had been cleaned properly. The stove, oven, and dishwasher weren’t working, and the place was so filthy I had to hire a cleaning service myself just to make it livable. I’ve tried reporting issues multiple times and it feels like nothing ever happens. I genuinely don’t understand how places like this keep getting away with treating tenants this badly.

I know it’s my fault for staying here and not fighting to break the lease but our time was limited to find a place for the time being , it’s temporary, and in our budget so we’re just dealing with it, but I still don’t think it’s okay to have people live like this. Renting is a joke
