May 2026 empties and reviews

Not many empties this month. And I finished the minis just to add count to my project pan. But with it being summer I’ve been feeling too icky to put any products on my skin. Nevertheless I managed 2 body creams

Vilvah aloe Vera gel - I opened the pack and seal after it was literally expired. But I should give kudos to vilvah that their packaging, it is so good that the product had not spoiled at all even though I expected it would be. especially given it’s a clean brand. The gel was cooling, non sticky and easily absorbed. Something that I appreciate in the summer, when I need to heal my winter dry skin but just can’t put on lotion. Finished the tub in a month. Definitely a repurchase. 5/5

Aveeno daily moisturising lotion. - this is a good one too for use in summers. It’s lightweight and completely non sticky and gets absorbed fast. A very good option for summer. Has no perceivable smell or fragrance. Is lotion, but almost has a borderline gel quality to it. Definitely worth purchasing again . 4.5/5

Lancôme generifique- well I don’t know how to evaluate from a small sample. It’s very strongly fragranced and a lightweight watery serum that gets absorbed into skin. I don’t think a sample or even a full bottle would provide me with any miracles. 3/5 WNRP

L’Oréal glycolic bright serum - another strongly scented serum. Don’t think it did any miracles. I have tried the larger sized bottle of this and didn’t think much of it either. 3/5 WNRP

To all the “ help me design my room “ posts

What almost 99.8 percent of u all need is

  1. Clean and declutter - Please do that first. If it does not belong in that room, move it to the proper room.

No bartans and pots in bedrooms, no clothes lines across the room, put it outside. No storage room treatment to bedroom. If u can get rid of it, donate it , clean it, remove it …. Do it. U don’t have to wait till Diwali to deep clean. U can do it multiple times a year.

Dust the walls, remove cobwebs, if u have exposed electrical wires wipe them clean first, if u can call an electrician and get him to move it into the wall. If u have inaccessible chajjas, lofts, windows, ventilators, get a ladder and wipe them clean. If u can’t keep cleaning them, call a mason and either block them or demolish them. Coz they seriously are not serving u

  1. Paint - There is no post here which doesn’t need a decent coat of paint . Infect u don’t even need painters if it is a cost. If u are young and healthy, U can buy a 2L jar and paint one wall by urself. I myself have painted a cherry red wall bright white without any issue. And all it cost me was the paint. If u want recommendations, I suggest u splurge on it coz it last u 10+ years. Go for Asian paints royale touch matte emulsion . U can cover 1 wall with 1 jar and Ito cost u 600rs.

If ur furniture is chipping, it’s better u clean it > cover it with contact paper > paint it. All within budget . This is where I’m insanely jealous of foreign YouTubers. They seem to know how to do these basic carpentry works on their own with tools and supplies, and here u can’t even drill a hole without a hired carpenter. It’s learned helplessness.

  1. Storage - once uv done this, buy storage baskets, shelves, or repurpose existing storage to actually store ur stuff. I don’t know what’s in those endless drawer… ( assuming long dead grandpas clothes), coz everyone’s stuff is outside. Prioritise what u use and neeed daily for storage… get rid of things u never use or don’t belong there.

  2. Lighting. - everyone has exactly 1 tube light which has become dull, half burnt out, covered in dust and cobwebs and on one wall… what u need are multiple lightings…. Use cheap LED lamps, …or any lamp at least 1 in each corner … one on ur desk to help u work, one next to bedside to help u read before bed… switch out tube lights for anything better.

Honestly. If u follow this much u should be able to get a decent room makeover in less than 5k. I’d rather see pictures of people who have tried this in their rooms and done before / afters, than posts for ideas with no follow up. Haven’t even seen one post of a follow up of someone who has cleaned their room… leave alone anything else

Additional - Patterns .., don’t get me started on this. When u click a picture and notice more than 1 or 2 patterns… in bed sheet, floor, wall art, curtains… please consider changing most of them to something simple … and the ones u can’t change,,, like a loud floor pattern, cover it with a simple carpet.., key word being simple…. Honestly… if the same patterns were there together in an outfit and ud look like Govinda in the nineties, ud change them ages ago
