Hello! I have this team that really fits my playstyle and has good matchups. It started as a rain team but I hated being walled by Grass types so I swapped out Sableye with a Froslass and then A-Ninetales. Dual-mega was good to psych out my opponent but I being able to get a 8 turn Aurora veil was too good to pass up. This also allows me to bring Ninetales with Swampert without having to pray to RNGjesus if I use Blizzard - it's a consistent check against Garchomp, D-Nite, Meow, Sinischa and Swampert.
I generally have good matchups into Hard TR, Rain teams, Perish trap, Psyspam and Floette which wins me games. However, I do struggle against the very common Whims/Zard-Y opening which is a huge problem.
Break down of the team----
Swampert - Rain sweeper. I swapped ice punch for rock tomb because i calc'd that it actually OHKO's Charizard in the sun. Useful if i play mind games and bait the heat wave instead of a solar beam. Blastoise had this slot on my Reg M-A team but the free Raichu given away necessitated a swap. Swampert was my starter from 2002 anyway so glad to use him for comp.
Tink - The GOAT, the MVP, the OHKO slayer of Floettes, Sneaslers, Zoroarks, Grimms and Mausholds. I ev'd her extremely offensive and gave her metal coat because I realized I can just OHKO Sneaslers. I would love to go bulky but I can't give that up. She's also EV'd to outspeed Modest Zard and drop a rock tomb on him. Won't KO, but 80% with a speed drop lets the ally poke finish him up.
A-Ninetales - This slot went through a lot of changes. Originally Sableye but the Japanese guy with the rain dance Froslass made realize that an ice-type with aurora veil would do well here. I also had a rain dance Froslass but the introduction of light clay and the desire to have a more reliable Blizzard made me switch to A-Ninetales. She's been doing great so far and better than Froslass since she has Freeze-Dry. Unfortunately it won't OHKO Swampert without Nevermelt ice but I can usually get some chip damage on him with fake out or baiting a wave crash into Arch. I do miss my manual prankster rain sometimes though.
Pelipper - The sleeper sweeper. I EV'd him extremely offensive because rain boosted Muddy Water fucking hurts. I wish Surf only hit opp poke again, that 85% acc can win or lose me games. I tried Weather Ball, but I already don't have a lot of spread on this team.
Hydreigon - Snarl is goated. Shuts down enemy Archs, Delphox, Blastoise, Venusaur, Rotoms etc. I do have to be careful using him because of Competitve/Defiant users. If I see one, I usually don't bring him or avoid using Snarl. Flamethrower is for Whims, Excadrill and occasionally Scizor.
Arch - The raid boss. Standard bulky set from Cybertron. People are sadly getting wise to the electro-drop-shot where you swap in Peli but he's too good to not use.
The Whims problem ----
I have good matchups into many teams but struggle against the big 6 especially Whims. I either try to bait a solar beam with Swampert or...
Lately, I've been trying to experiment with using Hydreigon in the opening and using Flamethrower (prev used heat wave but switched for less RNG) https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9championsvgc2026regmb-2639771561-y6ix401yshxoc01shp9814r7d9gfs5fpw?p2

Using my current team, what is the optimal opening vs Whims and Zard-Y??
I have a Mold Breaker Tinkaton and a Swampert. Can Swampert EQ an enemy Rotom or M-Delphox as long as Tink is on the field? Rotom-W walls my Swampert and half my team so this’ll be huge.
I recently put Confuse Ray on my support Froslass to act as a Kinggambit counter and it worked beautifully. It's not just about the RNG, it's using the very high ATK powercreep against the meta. Sneasler and Kinggambit have absurd base ATK so that it puts immense pressure on the opp to either stay in or switch-out to prevent taking 10-15% dmg. I've noticed that people dealing with confuse also tend to mash Protect rather than an attacking move - it can kill their momentum.
I always thought Confuse was a joke in comp because I mistakenly thought it was 25% chance to attack self. It's actually 33%, which is well above Para's new 15%. (I use to love abusing Para in Gen 5 OU)
Sleep is 75% acc unless you're Viv whom I refuse to use, and can easily be re-directed and then nullified with the very common Sinistcha anyway. Confuse Ray is 100% acc, no resists and can severely punish Kinggambit, Sneasler, Garchomp or any of the 120+ base atk meta pokes out there. I use it with support Fros because I like her offensive capacity, but using it with Prankster Sableye would be even more terrifying.

I took inspiration from the Japanese player with rain Froslass. This evolved from the standard Arch/Sableye into this weird Blastoise/Frossloss/Arch rain team.
Tink is my main TR and Floette counter. It's EV'd to OHKO Sneasler, outspeed Zard and can sometimes kill Venu after Fake Out. Rock Tomb is both speed control and a Zard counter. Great for when Gigaton is down.
Froslass is a new addition to the team and replaced screens Sableye. Sableye was great but my offense would severely suffer when I was forced to bring him and Tink on teams that contained both Floette and Zard (either one could be drafted)
Froslass has way more offense even without being mega'd and can OHKO Garchomp who is sometimes a problem for this team.
Hydreigon is a Garchomp and Basc switch-in. Also good vs Delphox who is rising in popularity.
Blastoise is my main offense against TR/Viv/mirror teams. The beauty of a slightly slow Blastoise and shell smash is that if you use shell smash while going last, the debuff won't affect you and you then outspeed everyone next turn. It's EV'd to narrow outspeed scarf Viv. Speed control was an issue with my team prior and both Rock Tomb and Shell Smash have mitigated this.

Hello, I made a RMT last week and adjusted it based on feedback. Posting again with the changes I made! So far positive, I've won games that I would've lost before. Still struggle against Grass/Electric types Like Venu and Heliodisk a bit.
Team Idea/Team Description - It's a modified Arch/Sableye rain tailroom from Cybertron that worked well for me for a while. I sailed through Ultra. I quickly ditched Dragonite in favor of Blastoise because I needed spread damage since Arch has none. I also ditched Basc in favor of Tink because I got curb stomped by the flower in one of my games. Tink is honestly the MVP of the team, OHKO's Sneasler, Floette, Sylveon, M-Gengar and Whims from full health.
I also modified the og Arch/Sableye build but due to the rampant amount of TR teams I face on ladder, I wanted hard TR counters. Protect stall doesn't vibe with me. Tink came into play with the Mold Breaker enhanced Fake Out.
I had issues with speed control because Pelli is a god awful Tailwind setter. He's slow, no priority and is unfortunately my best Sneasler and Venu counter which means I like Hurricane spamming with him. I feel like Pelli's main purpose on the team is to switch into Arch as I'm about to hit E-shot. That's basically how I win any Zard-Y matchups.
*Changes made from previous feedback*:
M-Blastoise came into play because I needed spread damage and a heavy hitter. A commenter said that due to my lack of real sweepers, I should put shell smash. So I did. I was crazy and dropped Protect. I realized that Protect wasn't really winning me games with Toise - I would mainly use it to try and get a Tailwind off on Pelipper but I realized that I only bring Pelli when there is a opp weather setter (Zard, TTar, Frosslass) Optimally, I don't bring Pelli at all but this ruins my speed control. Shell smash solves this and appears to be working well.
Sinistcha was dropped for Hydreigon. It was my least brought poke and my sweepers just weren't sweeping. I needed something that could be a backup sweeper AND a good switch-in from Arch or Tink in the face of or Earth Power. Hydreigon was near perfect. EQ immune, fast, strong and can apply great debuff pressure with Snarl. He just won me a game an hour ago against an opp Arch team by fast Snarling the +1 Arch into a switch out whereas otherwise he would have been able to sweep my team. Downsides are that I lose heals, redirection and trick room as an option if speed control is lost due to opp tailwind (which it often is) Good news is that Hydreigon can outspeed many pokemon even after tailwind since he's scarfed.
I was indecisive with Sableye's first move (Snarl vs Quash vs Encore vs Feint) I settled on Feint for a few reasons. Snarl was bad because Sableye is slow, this only won me niche TR games where I failed to kill the TR setter. Quash was good but just not effective enough of a slot imo. Encore was good but I realized why Feint was better. Encore is reactive. You wait for the Protect to happen, then you Encore, but the opp can faint your attacking Poke in that turn. With my limited sweeping capacity, I needed something faster. Feint can let me E-shot or Water Spout someone guaranteed and secure the kill. It can act as a sash remove and in a real big-brain move scenario, I can use it on Arch to trigger Stamina. It's basically enhanced quick attack.
RMT, and thank you in advance for feedback!
Doubles team, MB4, 1600s.

My main problems are that my speed control sucks and my 'kill-power' isn't the best with Tink/Blastoise/Arch. I tried mitigating speed control by making Pelipper less bulky and giving him sash...it's kinda helping but not as much as I want.
RMT, thank you~!
