Does anyone else think that Sold Out On You does the “comedy” part of the “romcom” genre really well?

I’ve watched a quite a few “romcom” Kdrama’s recently, and whilst they’re always entertaining, I don’t think they’re always particularly funny. I think this show, and many others, do romance well of course, but this is the first time I find myself genuinely laughing at scenes. The actors do comedy well, and the directors know how to time the comedic beats.

How highly do you rate Tang Kai, ONE’s Featherweight champion?

Tang Kai is 30 years old, fights at 155lbs, has a 20-4 record, and just defended his ONE featherweight belt last week. I genuinely think he could be top 15 in the UFC’s lightweight division easily, since there’s a lot of older guys taking up ranking spots. He’s right in his prime, and his last performance against 14-1 Russian wrestler Shamil Gasanov was a perfect anti-wrestling performance. Stuffed like 20 takedowns and TKO’d him with a brutal leg kick in the 4th round. Obviously because he’s an MMA fighter with ONE Championship, he’s only been able to fight once a year for the past couple of years, I would love to see him leave the promotion and be more of an active fighter, again he’s right in his prime, I hope it doesn’t get wasted.

I will forever love watching Doo-Ho Choi

Pound for pound one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC for the past decade, finish or get finished kind of fighter. 3 wins in a row, 3 TKO’s in a row, he deserves a chance to break into the rankings against Pitbull like he wants. He’s 35, but hasn’t fought that much over the last few years so it’s not like his body is worn down from damage, now’s the time to push him up the division.

This is a bit random, but why has Daniel Santos been exclusively matched up with Koreans for the past year?

I was excited that Doo Ho Choi is finally fighting again, and decided to look at Daniel Santos' record and noticed that his last 3 opponents have been Koreans. I feel like Korean fighters aren't all that common in the UFC, so to be matched up with 3 of them in a row is wild.

First kickboxing legend Takeru retires on a knockout win against Rodtang, also winning the interim One Championship Flyweight kickboxing belt, then Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani takes place in front of 55,000 people and breaking the record for the highest grossing fight in Japanese combat sports history. Now Tatsuro has the chance to become the first Japanese champion in UFC history, all happening in the span of like 11 days, Insane.

He is one of the best flyweights in the world, Japans best hope at a UFC champion, and yet he has mostly been relegated to the Apex. I could understand a bit more if he was boring, but 6 of his 8 wins are by finish, which is a pretty high finish rate for Flyweight, and his only loss was in a war with Royval. His third fight in front of a large crowd and it will be for the world championship, that’s crazy.

According to Mydramalist, it’s only got 2 episodes that are about 60 minutes long each, but I can’t seem to find the show anywhere. Does anyone know where I can watch this?

I’m not sure what the general consensus is on this show, but leading up to the finale I was enjoying it quite a bit. Not the most groundbreaking stuff, a few cliches in there, but some great chemistry with the leads so I was having fun. Then the finale comes, and what the hell happened? The whole second half of the show the couple is talking about how they haven’t been able to live an ordinary life as a couple, and that they will finally be normal after put the mess they were going through behind them. Then when everything is wrapped up, the ML just disappears for 6 months, and when the FL finds him, he’s in a war torn country fighting as a rebel (I think?), and his reason for leaving is that he was punishing himself for something his wife already knows about? It was just so frustrating, that about 40 minutes of the finale are spent with the main couple apart for no good reason.

From what I know about Takeru, he’s been on the decline the last few years, and he lost the first fight in like 80 seconds. I know he was apparently injured going in, but does he have much of a chance at beating Rodtang, even if he’s fully healthy?

It definitely reminds me of the Zeffo from the Jedi games, and it was stated to be over 1000 years old, but have we ever actually gotten confirmation on what it is? I’m still so intrigued by this thing.
