WH40k style Gali is here!
I've posted here a couple times about my Joytoy WH40k / Bionicle crossover figures, but I only just finished Gali, so here she is! (Also I painted Onua's limbs dark grey, it's kinda hard to see with the lighting.)

I like to think that Aperture Laboratories exists in the Pacific Rim universe and they wanted to be funded by the government, so they sold the rights to GLaDOS' voice synthesis program before She killed everyone in the Facility, and that's how She's the voice of Gipsy Danger. That's it, that's the whole headcannon.
I also made Makuta with the remaining parts. Now all that's left is to paint Onua's limbs gray, and get the figure to finish Gali. These Joytoy figures are sweet!
I should have waited longer to put it together, so I have some touch-ups to do, but I'm calling this complete for now. He's mostly going to stay in robot mode anyway so paint scratching isn't that big of a deal.
Painting is done and clear coating is almost done. Probably going to finish him in the next couple days. All that I'm still waiting for is the toyhax order for his insignias.
I saw some questions about the scale of my LEGO AM model I posted a few weeks ago, so here's a scale image I put together. My reasoning for this size is I feel like AM would build his body to be bigger than the biggest human-made structure out of spite.
I didn't model this, I bought the 3d files here. Pretty much all that's left to do is: choose a color for the eyes, paint the red parts white, paint the blue parts of the legs to match the arms, and then print and paint a couple detail pieces for the legs and chest. That and wait for a Toyhax order to arrive.
Also the head is really loose. I've heard of using super glue to fix loose joints, would that work with the 3d printed head?
(Side note, I really like this Optimus mold. There's essentially no kibble, amazing articulation, the alt mode is a cab-over truck... I have bought three of them and I plan on getting a fourth one for Nemesis Prime.)
I'm trying to make my Devastation Optimus into a Kei truck, and I was wondering if anyone had experience disassembling this particular figure. In particular how do I remove the head? Also, I want to make the legs fold in on themselves, like Siege Sideswipe, so what would be the best way to go about that? I have a 3d printer and I'm okay at modeling, but I've never made an upgrade / retool kit like this before.
I just transformed Prime's head away and placed the new head on the shoulders
Digital only, most of the parts don't come in these colors, but all the connections should work for real
Thanks to u/Mental_Interest_2071 for showing off that minifig heads fit on the Joytoy Intercessor body. I wanted these to look more Toa than Ultramarine, so I gave them all their secondary colors. I'm still making Gali and Onua, I'll post pics of them once they're done.
So a few nights ago, I half woke up because I felt a presence next to me. It felt like a person was standing over, simply observing me sleep. I tried to turn but had this deeply intense feeling that I *shouldn't*. Somehow, I managed to turn my head and eyes enough to look where I thought the person was, only to find an almost invisible humanoid made of tv static. It was just watching me, or at least I think it was since it had no face. After it realized I was staring back, it gave me a shrug as if to say: "Dude, I told you not to look at me." Then it just walked away and disappeared and I passed back out. I never felt like it was going to hurt me, or even do anything for that matter. I think it just wanted to observe. The Pic attached is a rendition I made of what it kinda looked like.
Its a pretty rough concept, but if I can find a good deal on the figure I'll get it and try this, I'm a big Speed Racer fan and I've wanted a Transformers crossover with it for al long as I can remember
I'm sad to see it go, but I couldn't pay the five figures or more it would have cost to repair or replace all the damage. I suppose it was fun while it lasted, but I wish I could have taken it to a track or something instead of watching it wither away.
From left to right I have a LEGO store Lightsaber pen, the current (I think) flick-out Yoda's saber, the green Powersaber, a broken pixel blade stuffed into a 3d printed hilt (for dueling) and my personal saber in green to match the others. (Instead of the usual purple)
I'm getting my dad the red Powersaber for Father's Day so we can duel.
I think the reason AC3 isn't as well loved as compared to other games in the franchise is because the last mission in the game is friggin terrible. It ruined all the momentum the story was building to. I was having a great time with the rest of the game, but then I kept failing over and over to catch Charles, dropped the game for a month before deciding to look up a walk through to find out how to get through that damned burning boat. It's the final mission in the main story, how did Ubi frick it up so bad?
TLDR: If the last mission in AC3 wasn't so ass I think people would remember the whole game much more fondly.
I have a galaxy watch 4 classic on oneui 6, but when I go to search for the companion app, all I can find is the phone app, not the watch app. I tried searching on my phone and watch, and even on my pc, and its like the companion app just isn't on the play store. What do I do?
Also I just got a notification for an update to oneui 8, so should I do that or would it break facer?
I'm working on 3D modeling and printing the mask and armor for Tahu Nuva using the Tahu fig as a base
I got to the Lego store and scanned ever box they had on the shelf. None of them were Tahu, so shout-out to the staff there that went in back and brought out a fresh box. This guy was the fifth to last one in there.
It's based off concept art from the movie, and I made custom decals in the render version on my Instagram
