Saved a rusted GBA SP

This one was a bit of a challenge. I did manage to get it back to fully functioning by swapping a few parts including the screen which was water damaged. On to the next one

[Sega Nomad] in the worst condition I have restored so far

A lot of people doubted this thing could be saved given all the rust and corrosion. I did replace the screen, speaker, cartridge spring (stolen from a N64) and volume wheel. It now works flawlessly and I am glad this was saved from being dumped in a landfill.

My hobby is restoring vintage handhelds, this was my latest project a Sega Nomad

I really thought this was a lost cause but I am always up for a challenge. This thing looked like it was found at the bottom of a lake. I did replace the screen, capacitors, spring, and speaker but the main boards worked just fine after an ultrasonic bath

Acquired this in a lot from overseas, never seen one before

It appears to be genuine Nintendo but I have never seen this variant before. Definitely not one we got in the US

My latest build, unfortunately it’s not loading games, any ideas?

First did a full recap and everything worked but the old screen was bad. I bought a Funny Playing 4.2ver screen but now it briefly shows a static like image then goes to a yellowish screen and just stays like that. I left most of the old components on there minus the T1. Anyone have an idea what the issue can be?

I may have accidentally purchased cremains for $3.99

I needed something to cover the septic cap in my backyard and without much thought grabbed this as a solution that I figured could be painted over to blend in with the surrounding. However when I got it home I realized it’s a lot heavier than it should be and also appears sealed. I am way too freaked out to make an attempt to open it to see what’s inside. For now it’s in the shed until I figure out what to do with it.

Gameboy Advance SP Washed up image issue with original and IPS screen

I am stumped on this one. I have been adjusting the potentiometer and it seemingly makes no difference I figured well an IPS screen should resolve this but it also has a poor image. Anyone experience similar problem and find a fix for it? Model 001
