Is it just me or does Lethal Company have a Retro-Futurism vibe?

I mean, it’s been proven that this game takes place in a far future, but some of the technology are considered vintage (Like Computer Terminals, Rusty Spaceships and Walkie-Talkies)

Not only that, there isn’t any technologies of the present day (Like Smartphones and Air Conditioning) AND the zap gun looks very cartoonish for modern standards of futuristic guns.
