I've [verb] the [thing] in/from the [place] probably a dozen times and legit every time is still amazing

There's something incredibly eerie in a beautiful way about how the same music that plays at the very end of a loop... plays in it's full at the very end. It feels like it's both hyping you up for the trip through the fish shitpit but is also basically a warning that's blaring in your ear; "You don't come back now. Mess this up and you're dead forever."

Also the way it gets muffled when you're actually in Bramble, it kinda implies that the universe itself is making the music.

I know this is a bit rambley but I obviously can't gush over this game in public rahhg

Trying to learn mechanics, is there a way to "Mini-Hold"?

Basically learning the game in my signature way (raw with no guides) and realized that sometimes I'm finding myself wanting to stall for a few frames to possibly bait out a response from an opponent. Problem is that Hold is 10f unless interrupted by the opponent.

Is there a way to "Hold" for less than 10f without depending on an interrupt?

I think the biggest draw of "Horror" mods isn't the horror, but that they engage with the player "first".

I've been thinking a lot about what makes a Horror mod, even a low quality one somewhat fun, and I've realized it's purely because the mod will usually interact with you whenever -it- wants, which is unlike how a lot of the base game operates. Minecraft is almost entirely absent of these "first engagement" mechanics, and the ones that do exist are very memorable (Wandering Trader / Pillager Patrols).

I also think that's a core part of Minecraft Horror's "identity"; flipping Player Interacts with World to World Interacts with Player.

Is it just me or are way too many mods just too loud

Specifically, there isn't any obvious way to reduce the volume of their sounds, and a lot of the time the specific volume sliders for stuff like "Hostile Mobs" just outright does nothing because the mobs they add aren't setup to be considered "Hostile Mobs" for some reason

And also a lot of mobs don't just make a briefly loud sound, it's just continuous max volume and it usually just makes me immediately trash the mod

Cursed Survival- Almost-Vanilla with ONLY Hardcore McMMo. [1.21.11]

It's Survival.

No claims, no cheats, no common commands (like sethome and TP). (N4C)

Oh, and McMMO with nearly no restrictions. (Disarm's rate is sliiiightly reduced.)

Hardcore McMMo means that you lose skill levels if you die. (You get a brief respawn shield so you can react to spawn-trapping.)

Oh, and murdering someone makes them lose even more, and gives them to you.

What could possibly go wrong?

Something that genuinely surprises me is that "Healing Denied" isn't a stat that's tracked at all.

Considering how much anti-heal is relevant in some matchups, it's always surprised me that you pretty much have no immediate feedback on how effective your antiheal effects are, besides noticing that your target is dying a bit faster than normal.

Coming from HoTS, which has no items (each character basically has a skill tree), only a handful of the cast ever gets access to antiheal, and even there, it tells you precisely how well your antihealing is, with a gigantic [X HEALING PREVENTED] whenever your antiheal expires.

While doing it midgame would be tricky, just having a graph at the end of a game that shows exactly how much healing was lost on a per-victim basis, and to what effects it was lost from, would be very useful for learning matchups / what builds are effective

Relevant to Edmund's recent tweet- I'm 99% sure Markipiler's voice is in Bolt of Lightning

I'M NOT LOSING IT THE VOID, I CAN HEAR HIM

IT STARTS OFF WITH HIS NORMAL VOICE AND THEN IT RISES IN PITCH TO ONE OF THE VOICES HE USUALLY DOES
