The Nightmare Heart helps dead kingdoms get revived through the Troupe who serves it, collecting the flames of the dead kingdoms and bringing liveliness and fun. The Nightmare Heart has no will to harm, only to survive and help dead kingdoms. Through helping the Troupe get what they want (a fully grown Grimm) you are serving the Nightmare Heart and helping it live on to help more dead kingdoms.
