ETFs vs Super Split

M25 80k per annum. I get paid 2395 a fortnight after tax, i save up about 1500 bucks on average from jt, been sending 1k into etfs and remainder into savings. But i already got 75K in savings so i might stop putting money in there.

But now with the CGT discount removed and all that, im wondering whether im better off putting money in super or otherwise how should I split it? I been putting it into dhhf fyi.

How do you deal with lenders not sticking by their SLAs?

Too often lenders never stick to the SLAs they provide us with. I get occasionally being 1 or max 2 days late. But we have had lenders with 4 Day SLAs say nothing for 8-9 BD. I don’t want to ruin the relationship with them but at the same time, it gets ridiculous when it is that bad outside of the timeframe they provided.

How do you guys deal with that usually?

Savings to investment split + FHSS question

Hi all, so I am new to all this and want to get started investing. I have done a fortnightly budget based on how much I get paid plus my yearly expenses divided on a fortnight's budget. Quick info M25, living at home earning 2368 per fortnight after tax and Hecs repayments and currently have 70K in savings and about 30k in HECS Debt.

On a yearly basis I should have $1100 saved per fortnight but that includes misc expenses and birthdays and all that. Generally speaking, I should be left with $1250 per fortnight. As I just want to get my foot through the door I am planning on investing in DHHF for the time being (if you have alternatives that you recommend I take more risk at my age please suggest) and I want to know how much of that fortnightly money I am left with in the end should go into DHHF vs my savings as I want to save for things like travel every few years as well and a house deposit. Out of the 1100 or 1250 what percentage should I split as investment vs savings?

Also out of my 70k savings how much of that should I invest as a Lump sum in lets say DHHF and should i do it all at once or in batches? My Gf and I are planning to purchase a property in the next 12 to max 24 Months. And as mentioned above I still want to leave a bit of money for emergencies (though i wont really need much imo) and for travel (also still save in HISA for travel and other misc needs). This brings me to the next thing, being the FHSS scheme. As I have at this point enough money for the 5% deposit for a property within our servicing capability, is it still worth doing it as we are planning to buy relatively soon? Im sure most will say yes but then this will change my entire budget so please do tell me your thoughts.

I know it is a lot but I really appreciate any help.

Thank you!

What split to get started?

25M, I earn 2.4k a fortnight after taxes, i save about 1.2k of it. i have 70k in savings. 30K in HECS debt. 0 investments. What should I do?

I would like to buy a property with my gf in the next few years but I want to start regularly investing in ETFs.

I am not very knowledgeable but I dont want to overthink it, i have been thinking about it fir years but kept postponing, I just want to do it. In terms of income, I think If i stay in my current career and on this trajectory then it will increase by a good amount in the next 5 ish year.

Just have a few questions I would appreciate your help with

  1. What ETFS should I invest in?
  2. What should my split of etfs be?
  3. What company should I use for it?
  4. How much of a lump sum should I put in at the start and how much should i regularly be putting in after that?
  5. How does the new budget affect all this? Should I look for alternative investment? E.g put more in super?
  6. Overall thoughts and what I should do

TLDR:

25M, I earn 2.4k a fortnight after taxes, i save about 1.2k of it. i have 70k in savings. 30K in HECS debt. 0 investments. What should I do?

I just wanna get into it and invest dont wanna read anything. What is a good split for my age? How much of a lump sum to start? How much to regularly put in?

Thank you very much

M25 77kg(170 pounds), 187 cm (6’2)

I have been training for 4 and a half years, i only started taking it super seriously about early 2025, ever since like may last year I have been training every muscle twice a week. Whenever i see myself in the mirror i think to myself you know what i actually look decent but every time i take a photo it just looks so fkn depressing and brings me down.

I am extremely unsecure about how I look, but I honestly want to hear feedback from people on their thoughts. I feel like everything looks mid as besides my arms which even they look mid in their shape but their size is what makes em decent.

I know how to train properly i keep up with a lot of the content creators, only ones i think are natural usually and ones who seem knowledgeable and use science and studies to back their claims rather than bro science. I also hit my protein and get my carbs in before every workout, i train hard as fk. Feedback is much appreciated its my first time ever posting my physique online so please don’t be too harsh but criticism definitely most welcome. My chest is dogshit i know.

Where to get recipes?

I want to find something quick and easy to make within maybe 30ish minutes. Chicken or beef as main protein source and at least 40g of protein per meal.

Thank you

Any tips for a beginner cook?

I go to the gym 6-7 days a week. My mum and I usually cook on sundays and Wednesdays a few days worth of food on those days. The problem is, the food we make i have for lunch at work for 3 days in a row which I dont mind. But then for dinner because i am not eating lunch and dinner the same for 3 days straight, i end up having either tuna or spam in a can every night. Im starting to get sick of that and I know its not sustainable. So i wanted to start making a secondary meal i can have for dinners.

What are some easy meals/recipes that i can make once or twice a week I can make so I can just have enough for dinners throughout the week.

Thank you very much

Edit: forgot to say high protein meals no less than 40g in a meal. Calories dont really matter as long as they’re reasonable. Chicken and beef would be great. Thanks again

How much to give for wedding gift and bridal shower?

So I am a groomsman at one of my close mate’s wedding. The groom is paying for the suit and we will have a bridal party dinner (which i guess he pays for as well) and a bridal shower as well.

My girlfriend and I are going to the wedding but she isn’t part of the bridal party. How much should we be putting in for the bridal shower present and the wedding present. I was thinking of putting in 500 ish for the wedding and my girlfriend has already purchased the bridal shower present for 50-60 bucks. Is that enough considering im a groosman and got stuff paid for? And is the bridal shower present enough with the above circumstances?

Thank you!

Hint please

So this is my current map in rumour mode, i only have three items with a question mark, the ash twin project (the structure in the middle that cannot be accessed from the outside). The launch module for the orbital space cannon, and the sixth location for the quantum moon. The further I have gotten is going inside the tower thingy in the quantum moon and getting to the sixth location but it is blocked by some quantum shard. I have no clue how to get to the north pole of the quantum moon since I know that’s the rule.

Then it tells me to recall quantum entanglement and recall the rule of the sixth location but as I said above nk clue how to get to the north pole, and unsure if quantum entanglement is something I have already come across

Have i discovered quantum entanglement yet? I have no clue where to go next. I also have not been on the hollow’s lantern yet.
