What’s going with wrong way crash. Some many this year already.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at approximately 1:20 a.m., a wrong way driver crash was reported at 121 Airport Freeway and North Riverside Drive.
Fort Worth PD learned that an SUV occupied by one adult driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of 121.
Evidence gathered on scene shows that the SUV was traveling the wrong way in lane 2 when it struck a vehicle with three occupants that moved out of the way, but was still struck on the back-driver’s side. No major injuries have been reported from that collision.
The SUV continued the wrong way and collided head-on with a four-door sedan occupied with four people; three adults and one child.
The wrong way driver was pronounced deceased on scene. Two adult females who were riding in the sedan were also pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult male driver of the sedan and a rear passenger child between the ages of 10-11 years old have been transported to local hospitals and are expected to survive.
