I have an MSR pocket rocket stove that I used regularly until several years ago when I became a JetBoil convert. Now, trying to reduce my base weight, I want to start using a lighter weight setup. Is the Pocket Rocket Deluxe worth the $85 or is the older version of the PR still pretty good? My primary complaint was that the PR took too long to boil water… I just bought a pot with a heat exchanger so hopeful that will help the speed issue. Thoughts?
Hey folks, just returned from camping over a rainy weekend. A tarp stretched over the picnic table worked ok but we were seriously jealous of other people’s rain shelters, apparently called camping gazebos. Seems like the Gazelle is a popular brand? We would use it camping in the rain in CO, to protect against bugs, and perhaps to provide shade on S Utah camping trips. Any recs for quality options that hold up to wind and rain? TIA!

My wife and I are considering booking an xc ski tour - Jotunheimen - in February 2027. We are reasonably experienced skiers from Colorado so no particular concerns about the fitness requirements etc. The tour includes transport to and from the Oslo airport, so we are considering flying up to Tromso after the ski portion and seeing the north part of the country. Any recommendations for things to do and see in Tromso? Or other destinations that might be even more worthwhile especially given the time of year? TIA!

My pup loves swimming to cool off when it’s so hot out. Tragically she has no interest in the kiddie pool we recently bought. Any recommendations for places pups can swim/wade in Broomfield or nearby?
There are truly demonic squirrels in my neighborhood that will dig up every single seedling I plant and eat every single tomato and squash that grows. I built these hoop houses that are working pretty well, although the squirrels are starting to chew on the netting. They’re just hard to access for plant care… ideas for an improved plant protection setup?
