Orbit or Rain Bird?
I’ve had the Orbit H2-O 6 gear-drive and it has worked well for a while. It died randomly and got locked up on spinning. Went to try a Rain Bird 42SA but man are the settings finicky. Is it worth trying to figure out the Rain Bird and keep trying to finesse it or is the Orbit good enough?
Covering about 1,500 Sqft in the front yard on its own but I need something than can be precisely stopped from left to right and set it to a mist pattern so I don’t hit cars driving by.
HOA ignoring emails about rectified violation
We were told our grass was too tall over 10 days ago. The HOA board came in and sent a violation to everyone for at least one reason (roughly 200 homes) and we rectified the violation same day. We sent on picture proof even with us in the picture cutting the grass.
Fast forward to today and we receive notice we never responded and now we owe $25 our they’ll post more fines until they can get a lien and put our house into foreclosure(it really says that). I responded to the email with the proof once again that I rectified the situation and never received a response.
I don’t get what’s wrong with these people.
Sudden printing issues
Printer has worked really well for 2 years, prints didn’t take much thought and I’d slice the files and pass them off until recently. The same filament I’ve always used, Elegoo Rapid PLA+, just stops printing at some point. It could be in the beginning, end, right in the middle, at some point it will stop.
I did rebuild the nextruder, re-greased, and checked for jams and any sign of filament grinding. Everything looked perfect, all settings are the exact same ones I’ve always used to slice files but it is persistent.
I did get two large back to back 8 hour prints perfectly before I ran into my third 8 hour print which stopped just right before it was going to finish. Wanted to see what it did when starting another print and that’s what you see above, no filament movement whatsoever. That is until I paused the print, opened the idler door, closed it back and hit print. Suddenly it is then working again.
Not sure what’s causing the issue but it would be nice to get it fixed before starting the Core One+ conversion kit. I’d hate to move one broken part and have to troubleshoot it there too.
MK4S print issues
I have been using my MK4S for about 2 years with no issues and several moves. This week suddenly every print fails either not long into it or not long right before it finishes. The filament doesn’t seem to have any issues loading, unloading, and printing for a duration up until the random stop.
When I open the idler door the extruded is still moving and there looks to be no issues of ground filament inside but the filament just is not moving. Once I cancel the print and the filament retracts, some oozes out after. Could I be looking at a potential heat creep or some failing electronics?
I changed from the first issue prone nozzle which was a standard 0.4 to a CHT 0.4 with the same issues. Assuming now that maybe my fan is struggling to keep up or some reasoning of it not cooling properly.
I’ve ran multiple cold pulls, tested the fan, tested with other materials, profiles, etc. was hoping to do the Core One+ conversion kit but I don’t even have a working extruded at this point.
Reasonable price for MK4S and MMU3?
Looking to part ways with my MK4S and MMU3. I’ve had it for about 2 years, maybe a thousand or so hours. Multi-material printing is a big thing for me and the MMU3 is still just as frustrating as the MMU2 even when loading with the fork mod. Won’t be looking to ship but sell on Marketplace.
Was thinking $700 for everything including some E3D HF nozzles, an Obxidian, and some standard 0.4 nozzles.
Don’t buy a liberty safe - rant
All the time when I was going to get one all I ever heard was how good the safes are, how good warranty and customer support are. If you are considering a liberty then I can tell you there is no customer support and your warranty is about as real as pixie dust.
Started over two weeks ago. My safe under 1 year old has its SecuRam system due. Took 1 week just to get the replacement keypad out and another system to install from S&G. Was assure the keypad would work and if not, don’t worry a locksmith will come free of charge and drill my safe and replace the parts.
Parts came, didn’t work, called them back up. Assured they would get ahold of a locksmith and they’d be able to get me in. That was over a week ago how. Not a word from liberty or the locksmith. Livery has since stopped replying to my emails and somehow now impossible to get someone on the phone.
If you think liberty is the brand for you, think to yourself “can I afford to have all of my valuables I may need or want be trapped and can I afford to pay to get it drilled?” If the answer is yes, then you should buy a better brand of safe anyways.
UPDATE: Liberty finally contacted me and told me the locksmith and that they’ve been expecting me to call the locksmith despite never having given the info.
Reasonable price for lock change
I have a liberty safe currently with a SecuRam toplit and it died within a year. Had liberty warranty it and they are going to have a locksmith come out at their expense to install a new lock.
SecuRam seems like junk and I’m thinking of picking up a S&G 6730 to replace it. What would be a for cost for having someone come out and install it? Watched the video from the company on how to do it, looks fairly straightforward and about half an hours worth of work, I’d assume I’d be charged a minimum one hour at least.
