Got a bit of a tricky situation going on with the family farm and I wasn’t sure where to ask. I will keep it vague just in case there are family members snooping, although they will likely work it out if they so wish.

So basically, the farm is currently owned by the family as a whole due to inheritance a few years back. However, it is my parents who are living in the farmhouse and have basically ran the farm for the last 20+ years, but they are now looking to retire and things have basically wound down and they don’t own any animals or anything like that. Another family member has livestock on the fields, as far as I know, the animals are registered to them and them alone. They don’t pay any rent or anything for the fields, basically because they have an ownership stake.

Now here is the issue. The family member is not looking after the animals. We have had multiple deaths, that my parents report to the family member, and he just doesn’t do anything about. My parents are having to deal with the dead animals.

My worry is, that my parents could be held liable for these deaths. Is that the case? Does anyone know?

We had our solar installed on the 27th of May. For the most part, everything is going fine, all seems to be working ok. We have had an issue with the odd “power outages”, however I think this is grid voltage fluctuating.

My main issue is, it’s been two months now and I haven’t received the MCS cert. They initially started by saying, sorry the Dno is very busy and they’ve not issued the paperwork to us. They also haven’t responded about the power outages, as I want it confirming that this is a grid voltage issue. But now, they’re ghosting me and won’t return phone calls or emails.

So, not only do I not have the MCS cert, but I am getting worried they didn’t even get the G99 approval before the install.

Anyone have any idea what I should do next? Short of turning up at their office, they seem uncontactable.

I was just watching the dev video for 40k:TW and the new engine and infantry movement looks a nice upgrade on anything we’ve had before.

I particularly took notice of the way troops can move and fire. The ability to fire on the move, both going forwards and in retreat, is a game changer. No longer do ranged units have to only line up in formation, prepare their weapons, and fire.

Where this would be particularly good, would be an Empire remake. Actually having skirmishers, rather than just another unit that lines up and can fire a little further. You would be able to harass the enemy like they did during the Napoleonic war, pick off troops in formation with your Rifleman, in a rolling retreat, weakening them until they meet the rank and file troops.

Just my thoughts anyway.

Now, of course there have been some successes, so maybe I’m talking out of my arse. But, I can’t help feel that players like Sachdev should have been sent out to clubs like Burton when they were 18, not 21. Same with Louie Marsh, was only sent out last year when he was 21.

Maybe these players just aren’t good enough, and this is a shop window to sell them. But, you then look at a player like Regan Slater, who again didn’t go out on loan until he was a little older, but when he did, and we then sold him, he improved and has over 150 games for Hull and will now be playing in the premier league.

It just seems in the past 5, maybe 10 years, we just don’t seem to want to give these players the best chance. At 21, a player should realistically be playing week in week out for their club. Yet, Louie Marsh and Sai Sachdev have less than 50 senior appearances (for any club) between them. How can we expect these players to improve and either be ready to step into our first team, or be sold for decent money, if they aren’t playing?

And I’m not comparing any of our players to the skill level of some World Cup winners. But, Spain just had two 19 year olds in their World Cup winning team and they started and finished that game. England had two 21 year olds and a midfield of players in their 20’s. Our players don’t even seem to play a game of senior football until that age.

If we had academy players at 20/21 who had played 50/60 games, maybe we wouldn’t have to be panicking about our lack of signings right now.

Anyway, just my thoughts.

This is just a bit of a public service announcement.

The other day we had a walker pick up a lamb that “had been left alone”. He carried it a good 15 minutes to the nearest farm, our farm, to say one of our lambs was left alone.

1. The lamb wasn’t ours

2. The lamb was fine, mothers often leave them alone when they are a bit older.

3. We had to then contact the actual farmer, who then had to come and collect it.

4. The mother was walking around the fields looking for its lost lamb and calling for it.

Now, it does happen sometimes. Some lambs do get lost or left by their mothers. But, don’t go picking lambs up from fields. If you have any concerns, just walk to the farm and inform somebody. I can guarantee that the farmer may already know that there is a mother sheep that’s a bit neglectful and they will be keeping an eye on it.

As the title says, I have just eaten (tried to eat), quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had. It was a cucina Beef lasagne. And I know, it’s a ready meal, from Aldi, what do you expect. But I am sure they never used to be this bad.

Well, I expect some flavour, at the very least. I expect some texture and I expect to be able to finish it. Apparently it’s 14% beef, I would be shocked if there was 4%. The “Bechamel” made up a good third of the whole lasagne, and tasted like gelatinous starch with absolutely no flavour. The pasta had also just turned to mush, And I am sure there wasn’t any cheese on top.

Overall, gets a 1/10, because it was “food”, otherwise, 0.

Also, sorry to the wife as I pretty much rejected it after she went to the shop to buy it. I tried, but it was just bad.

Cannot find too many reviews online. But the price they are offering is not too bad and they’ve been decent with communication so far.
