Having graduated my Master's Magna Cum Laude, I decided to try a nicer whisky as a complete beginner and went for a bottle of Lagavulin 16 per so many recommendations!

It was an unexpected experience. I stil am surprised that my four first whiffs brought four different, yet equally pungent odors. You must understand that as a beer enthusiast, nothing could have prepared me, no amount of words read would have sufficed.

I'm glad I chose this because if this is entry-level peated, my face would have melted had I gone the Uigeadail way, which I was about to.

Overall I'm glad I went for this. I'm not going to be a big whisky drinker, and definitely not a peated whisky drinker, but I look forward to having this bottle on my shelf for big occasions. I don't dislike it at all!

Why is it that EU leaders are continuously reiterating that China is the biggest threat to our economies and trade policies when other have been shafting us continuously?

In before the comments, I'm not oblivious to the sociopolitical problems in Chinese society. I'm not well informed either, but I understand the country's authoritarian regime is a threat to its people and to the world (I'm looking directly at Taiwan).

That being said, I'm not under the impression that the EU aims to maintain political and economical relationships with moral countries only. We've seen it with Russian imports lasting for much longer than expected, we still see it with Israel who is actively genocidal, we are seeing it more recently with the Talibans being invited to talk with EU leaders.

If it's not a moral issue, it's likely an economic one. What I don't understand however is, what has China done to be labeled as an unreliable or untrustworthy trade partner?

The tariff thing with the EU was quite a good proof of this. It goes to show how little the relationship matters when he can levy it to make some extra cash off of it. And that in turn has led us - the EU - to pursue other trade agreements: MERCOSUR, India, Australia...

So why not China?

Artistic members of the subreddit, I humbly ask that this victory be taken as reason to pass us into the chads flexing portion of the image. Yours truly, Belgian guy.

This image really hits the spot in terms of the night feeling I love. I'd love some info on the original author if anyone has some.

In Belgium, Brussels, there is a tomb that is lit up by a Heart of Light every summer solstice, as a reminder that "love is stronger than death". Léonce Evrard had this building constructed when his wife Louise Flignot died. The tomb sits in Laeken' cemetery.

I’ve been trying to “style” my bed since it’s such a central piece in my bedroom. What do we think of black duvet cover over pink sheets?

I’m getting mixed thoughts on this new sweater I just bought second hand, which surprises me because I think it looks cool. What do you think?

[Collection] My humble two-piece collection! I’ve got my eye on a third and possibly a third to complete my set. Can you guess what direction I’m going for the next two?

The Seiko Presage was my very first watch. I wanted a piece that was sensibly priced, which led me to buy it secondhand off a Redditor. I was so pleased with it!

I stopped wearing watches for a while and went back to my Apple Watch until my Aqua Terra arrived. Now that’s a big boy watch. I’ve been wearing it ever since, only trading for my AW when I workout.

I think it rekindled my thirst for watches. I already have my eyes on two pieces, one newer one I tried in store and desperately want for my graduation, and a second I recently discovered and, though from a brand I swore off, I felt in love with!

Can you guess which watches I’m talking about?
