Recommendations for wide Mary Janes?

Recommendations for wide Mary Janes?

Hi all, bought these cute 1960’s babydoll dresses that I desperately want to pair with some Mary Jane’s on my trip in 2 weeks. For the life of me, anything I order that says “wide” is not even close to wide enough. For reference, looking for a vibe like this, but really I’m desperate and willing to order anything close that’s verified to work. Ty in advance!!!!

PRN therapy work

Hi all, I’m reaching out to see if anyone here does PRN therapy work and how they went about securing the job. I graduated with my MSW around 2 years ago, and I’m an LSW. My mental health experience consists of around 6 months in community mental health doing school based. I do a hospital SW role right now full time. I’ve been wanting to kind of venture into the mental health world working with adults to see if it’s something I’d like, but wasn’t sure if there was any way for me to get hired to just pick up a few clients somewhere to sort of get my feet wet. Any advice/experiences welcome. Thank you!!!

PRN social worker getting LCSW supervision

Hi all! Reaching out to see experiences of those who do PRN. I really want to start the hours for my LC. I’ve heard of hospital have LCSWs who will do the hours for free. For those of you who are PRN, does the hospital still permit you to get supervised for free from these people? I understand it’s case by case, but just seeing experiences out there. Thanks!!

ADHD medication impact?

Hi all, looking for fellow medicated ADHDers to weigh in. Started taking Vyvanse a few months ago and it seems like it’s always drying me out to the point where my cords feel tight and I’m just not at my normal quality or ability. I do my best to hydrate. I’ve read about electrolytes so I’ve been trying to do 1 Gatorade a day. It hasn’t been doing much. I’ve also tried one of those droppers to put in drinks that are minerals that are supposed to help with hydration. It may have worked a bit (by no means solving the issue completely), but tasted nasty lol.

Just seeing if honestly the only answer is to not medicate days leading up to singing, or if someone has found a way to combat this. Any help is appreciated, thanks friends!

Peer shadowing, what is going on here?

Hi! Just a confused and very frustrated employee looking to get some management perspective and guidance. Keeping my job vague as to not dox myself.

I work in a pretty collaborative field. I’ve been doing my job for almost 2 years now. I recently started a newer role a few months ago, but it’s been the same stuff, just new role with some learning curve. I do think I’m a performer that goes the extra mile, especially in comparison to others who don’t even do the bare minimum. I honestly thought lately I had finally gotten a handle on the position, then I get called into my manager’s office for a chat.

They essentially told me that they didn’t realize I was drowning in my work and didn’t have good priorities (I don’t, I actually finish hours early most of the time). When I asked about specifics, they told me something about task prioritization. Asked about if this was about me not getting work done, was told no (because again, I finish it all, very early most days). Couldn’t give me any examples. Also gave me some vague feedback about how I interact with others, but again couldn’t nail down exact examples. Also mentioned they wanted to “help me be more confident” and inferred that I’m not confident because I ask clarification questions on new things I haven’t done. For reference, I’m in a pretty unique position where things come up that are not intuitive when doing them for the first time.

When I initially started the role it was my idea to do weekly check-ins with management to go over questions I had and how I was doing. As I’ve gained footing in the role, those progressively and naturally stopped happening. Manager now thinks we should go back to them.

They brought up shadowing but said I could think of things on my own, came back the next week and told them I felt the things we had talked about with prioritization helped (they were my ideas, they did not give suggestions of how to re-prioritize when I asked). Then they essentially told me no, you have to do the shadowing anyways. Now they’re having one of my coworkers, who has literally been doing this job for less time than me, shadow me all week. They gave no specific feedback for what to work on, just “mentorship” and “different frameworks”.

Just honestly seeing if I’m on the track to being fired, if my manger actually thinks my performance sucks, or if they just want to humiliate me (because this is extremely humiliating, as well as sucking any and all confidence I had). I have a higher up manager who typically would be taking the reins more if my actual performance was hurting us # wise. This is the bare bones, could put in more context but this is already extremely long. Thanks in advance!

Comfortable engagement rings for left handers

Hi all, at that point where I’m starting to think about what ring I’d like and plan to go look at rings with my partner next week. Totally hit me that because I write with this hand, probably need to take that into consideration when picking the ring. Are there any do’s/don’ts in terms of style for comfort? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!!!

Petite baby doll dresses?

Hi all, seeing if anyone can recommend a good spot to find baby doll dresses with styles inspired by Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo. I find a lot of the dresses online end up length wise being a regular dress on me, as well as the other proportions of the dress. Any leads appreciated, thank you!!!!💕

Has anyone here ever had a staff education about our role?

Hi all! I’m med surg, a total dumpster fire floor lol. It seems like I’ve been having a lot of staff lately offer things that we can’t do, demand we talk to patients about x thing (that we also don’t or can’t do). Or my favorite, walked in on an rn saying to a patient “let me know if you want social work to come back”, as if I’m a drive thru item you can just order to your room whenever you feel like.

I spoke with the previous SW on my floor and I guess they had had an education, but I think there needs to be a refresher.

Let me know if you did this, how you did it. And, what would you want to mention at a staff education? Trying to build something off of your answers. Ty in advance! :)

Therapy experience?

Hi all, popping in to mainly see if my pelvic floor PT experience was typical. For context, I have had lifelong constipation and am really tensed up for sex, so I was going for both those things.

I went for a few weeks and essentially all we went over diaphragmatic breathing, bio feedback every session, and her telling me I just needed to go home and practice k e g a l s and squeezing my butthole. I could barely do this and I’d just come back every week for bio feedback and nothing changed and I felt super discouraged.

She also gave me some yoga poses/videos to do to relax. And also blamed my constipation on the fact that my stool is liquid and that I needed more fiber to make it more solid (which my gastro disagrees with).

I think she was pretty avoidant of internal work? It seemed like that was a last resort for her and she just wanted to solve it all with bio feedback.

lol essentially coming to see if anyone had a better experience w other techniques. Thanks!

What are we doing for vague consults that say “financial issues” “housing concern”, ect

Do you guys message the person who put in the consult to ask them what the context is? 9/10 if someone does reach out to me with the context beforehand it is so ridiculous LOL. I just started thinking this week about messaging these people asking the context beforehand. Has anyone else been doing this?
