Red Osier Dogwood Propagation - just started root

Red Osier Dogwood Propagation - just started root

So I've never propagated anything before but just tried with a softwood and semi hardwood cutting of Red Osier Dogwood (a native plant herein Canada) to see if it would grow. I heard about rooting hormone but didn't use it, i simply put it in a mug. It's now day 28 of having it sit in a mug of water (water changed once every 5 days), and there are all of a sudden some root development! I don't know plant terminology good enough to say what they're called but there's one main root and then there is also multiple small root things coming out of the main root. These just formed in the last 30h so I'm sure they formed during day 27-28. Even though they just started they are spreading pretty fast and the water level is going down in the mug very fast so I think it's takeing a lot of water in! If there is any advice that would be helpful but for now it's just an update / a realistic water propagation

Also the leaf on the left has that dull colour because I accidentally put it slightly folded against a window, but the rest of the leaf and other leaves are fine

Looking for a job

Hello!

- I am a 17 year old (turning 18 soon) student who's looking for a part time or full time job in Richmond BC.

- I worked at a Seafood restaurant as a dishwasher before, and I would be interested in other dishwasher opportunities.

- I am also interested in many other types of jobs, as long as they aren't serving... That's the one job I've done that I really dislike.

- I live in Steveston but can commute to Central Richmond too

- I don't have any degree or anything because I just graduated high school recently, so I can't do any degree specific jobs.

- If anyone has any tips, or if anyone knows restaurants or companies to apply to, or any companies that get back quickly, please let me know!! Thanks!

Is there still a landslide around northeast Oahu?

Hey, just wondering if there is still a landslide and the traffic by the east side or North half of East side of Oahu.... Some local told me there is, and I was planning on going up there tomorrow in a nice drive as a part of my trip. Is there still traffic there, or has it cleared up? Sorry it my English is kind of broken. Thanks for any help.

How to know if my spine will catchup? Disproportionate right now

So my legs are 37-37.5" from the greater trochanter down so like the standard way of measurement as what I've heard... But my spine plus head is like 33.8" (without compression). So that makes my legs much longer. In fact I think it's disproportionate and I'm insecure about it.

Now, looking at my growth history, at 14 I was 5'8.5 then stayed that way with 0 growth until 15.5 or so when I started very slow growth until 17, where I gained 0.7in. then, after turning 17 I grew 1 in. So that totals close to 2 inches of leg growth following being 5'8. This leaves me with legs built for someone much taller, whereas my spine is still built for someone who's, let's say, 5'8 or maybe a lil taller. For example my tibiae are 15.0". My arms are also built for someone taller too, with a positive ape index.

So all my extremities are long / built for someone like 1.5-2in taller than I am. But my spine is decently shorter, making me disproportionate. Will my spine catch up in growth? My legs are just wrapping up now, plates just starting to close after I grew multiple times in legs... Will my spine grow? I wanna be more proportionate. Thx! Age: 18.

Help with Google Pixel 9a brightness

So basically I have been using my Google pixel 9A for like the last year or so and since I've had it on apps like tiktok or Instagram, there's this really weird brightness thing that happens.

When I am in tiktok and I use or open the camera. It makes the entire screen extremely bright like maxed out brightness also in Instagram when I am in reels. For some reason every couple of reels is a very bright reel, and I cannot change the brightness in both Tiktok and Instagram.

I cannot change the brightness of the screen. When I tap on the brightness and try to change the brightness it says cannot change because the brightness is being controlled by the top app, which I'm assuming is the current app.

How do I fix this? Because I hate opening Instagram reels and getting blasted brightness in my face and not being able to control my phone's brightness in these situations is kind of painful at times. I tried going into The tick Tock settings and my phone settings and but I could not find a setting to turn this brightness that overrides my screen off.

Thanks for any input or help!

What subspecies of Selfheal?

What subspecies of Selfheal is this (european, North American), how can I tell? Attached are 5 photos

If it's north American then it would be native. If it is native, should I keep or is it too aggressive to the yard? (There's like 60 tiny ones coming up in the grass)

What is this? Possibly Willowherb?

First photo: Salal to the bottom and right, hemp Nettle to the left, and the thing that I think may be willowherb is in the upper centre.

Second photo: closer photo just of the plant that I think is the willowherb

I think this might be a young Fringed Willowherb, but I'm unsure. Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada, in a backyard.

Just grew update

I know it ain't much but just grew ⅓ (or a bit more) of an inch in the last couple (prob last two) weeks. I'm now 17.8 and this is my third "burst" while being 17 (I call them bursts because they aren't spurts because they're small, but they're still fast and condensed growth). Aching in my legs just starting now. Just wanted to say an update, as before, I thought I would def be done growing but now I'm entering a lil metabolic stage with a bit of skeletal growth in legs and also, good sign that I outgrew my Size 10 shoes all of a sudden. Now I'm 1.3in taller than I was at 17.0!

Also, Thanks for this subreddit for helping in optimizing ! I gotta say it might have been mostly genetics, however some things I did do that I believe helped at least a little in growing was exercise (gym and bball), monitor stress, eat healthy (including protein and vitamin D sups). That's it I think
