Can Urza Lord High Artificer be built to be B3?

So I already have two well established bracket 4+ decks, not interested in more of those. I opened a Commander Masters pack today and found Urza inside, and I’m wondering if it’s possible, like the title of this post says, to make a functioning, lower powered Urza? Any ideas as to what to build around for that?

Can I sit?

Weakest to strongest, Niv and Jan are both B4, Borborygmos and Mimeoplasm are B2, everything else is probably somewhere in the high B2-mid B3 range.

Mono black group hug?

Trying to expand my horizons and came up with a weird idea of a Braids group hug style deck with Mornsong Aria as a secret commander. Not sure what the viability is, or if anyone has ever made a fun mono black group hug deck, taking any and every opinion.

How to upgrade

I loved the [[Satya aetherflux genius]] precon, so figured I’d pick this one up. I realize that it’s definitely a weaker face commander, but I like to keep things fresh and I’ve played the Satya one a lot. Whats a good direction to take this from base precon? Any input or ideas would be great thanks!

Lord Xander the Collector: fringe possible?

Just what the title says, I’ve been cranking out a serious [[Lord Xander the collector]] deck that focuses on making lots of copies of himself, both legendary and non legendary, to abuse all of his ETB/LTB and attack triggers. Is there a way this could become a cEDH/fringe cEDH commander option? I know his CMC is high at 7, but Etali is also 7 cmc and to the best of my limited knowledge is still a cEDH commander. Any advice would help, thanks!

Can I sit? (Weakest to strongest)

Morcant (B2 elf ball, although some may say B3 inherently because of her ability)

Kaalia (I guess B3, not optimized in the slightest but really can’t build Kaalia to be weak)

Gyome (low B3 food/aristocrats, no game changers but fairly optimized)

Vastra/Flint (similar to Gyome, food clue and counter doubling)

Second Doctor/Leela (B3 group hug/pillowfort with a couple game changers)

Niv Mizzet (mid to high B3 spellslinger/burn, not super optimized or anything but jeskas will, mystical tutor, and Niv’s abilities inherently make it strong)

Lord Xander (high B3 clone/mill, not fast enough for B4 but definitely very optimized and will mill you out if he’s not stopped)

Korvold (low to maybe mid B4, fairly optimized into land sacking aristocrats, no fast mana outside of sol ring and Jeska’s will. Although it includes a plethora of game changers including vamp tutor and the food chain squee combo)

Sun Quan/horsemanship in casual commander

So I just had the privilege of opening some commander masters draft boosters, and was excited to see Sun Quan in one of them. Love the classic cards, and seeing horsemanship in the big 2026 is funny to me. However, I’m wondering if putting him into the 99 of a casual B3 deck (it’s a non-bumbleflower bant group hug deck) would be considered a problem. I’ve never encountered horsemanship in the wild, so I have no idea how people feel about it.

Looking for advice on my deck

I’ve been in quite the losing streak recently, and I’m wondering if I need to change anything in my deck or if I’m just bad at threat assessment.

Here is the deck I’m struggling with in particular. I always feel like it starts strong, but somehow I can just never finish the job. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Deck reviews?

Is there a sub to post decklists to be reviewed? Or can I do that here? I’ve been having a problem with not being able to actually win any games recently, and I’d like some feedback on deck building from outside of my usual pod.

Help deciding which decks to use to teach new players

Going on a vacation with a large group, and they told me they want to learn to play Magic. I’m just not sure which of my decks to bring, as I don’t want to confuse and scare them away. Any advice would be great. For reference, everything here is B2-mid B3.

Captain Sisay in 2026

Is the selesnya captain sisay a viable cEDH option in this day and age? I’ve heard that she was at one point a pretty decent commander, but idk how the meta has shifted over time and if not having access to red black or blue makes it automatically not viable. How do you even go about building that level of deck around Sisay?

Looking for some unique tribal builds/mechanics to build around

I’ve done demons, elves, vampires, artifacts, land combos, foods, super friends, aristocrats, energy counters, prowess, group slug, blink, Eldrazi, and I’m just running out of ideas for a fun/unique gameplay style that’s gonna keep me invested. Any suggestions for underrated mechanics or tribal options would be great!

Felothar food tech

So I was sorting through all of my cards and landed on both Gyome and Hurska. I got to thinking, and was wondering about Abzan food tech. The obvious one is Sam and Frodo, but that’s boring. Then I realized I could just sac foods to Felothar. Before I devote a bunch of time to going and building this, is this a viable tech? Are there too many things that need to happen for it to work?

Looking for something like John Williams’ Stoner, Don Carpnter’s Hard Rain Falling, and David Szalay’s Flesh

I’ve discovered I’m pretty fond of this type of story, following more stoic and/or troubled characters throughout their life journey, and I’m wondering what else there is. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have also enjoyed Revolutionary Road and No Longer Human, for further reference.
