The wacky parts of GI Joe are what appeal to me the most, so I decided yes, I do need the FSS release of Cesspool to go along with my MOC of the 1991 Cesspool. Now I just need them to put out a Classified version of him.

I've been pondering whether I wanted to get one of the 250th Retro Dukes for a while now, as they were just sitting unloved at the local Walmart. As soon as I spotted them having been moved to the Clearance section, it was definitely time.

Really like this Gristle v2 figure from the 2008 Cobra Headhunters! box set. I'm slowly piecing together that entire set, plus several others. We definitely need Classified versions of Gristle, Headman, and Cesspool sooner than later.

I've been listening to a bunch of live recordings this weekend, and started thinking about what's the best LCD Soundsystem opening song for a live show.

When I first saw them live at the Hollywood Bowl last year, they opened with Tribulations.

When I saw them a second time a couple months ago in Reno, they opened with Tonite.

Just finished my first-ever readthrough of the Blaylock/Jerwa DDP GI Joe run, and really enjoyed it overall, despite a couple confounding choices made. So ... what do I read now? I have all of Reloaded, Frontline, and America's Elite ready to go, but no idea which order to go in.

Picked this up last week, and love finally having Old Snake (Cobra Commander) from the S3 episode of the old Transformers cartoon. The BAT-themed Decepticons are a super cool touch, as well.

Would love a Classified version of Old Snake someday.

Picked up this 2-pack the other day with the lesser-known Dreadnok, Burn Out, and (Chief) Torpedo. I love all the accessories (belt, shotgun, breastplate, shoulderpads, helmet, shield) they gave Burn Out as part of his MP disguise.

Headman is such a wild character to have added to the GI Joe universe, until you remember all the War on Drugs stuff going on at the time.

He has such a fun, distinctive look, I had to pick up his V2 version last week. Now I need to start working on collecting all his troops!

"Starring Don Johnson, Burgess Meredith, and Sgt. Slaughter" is so freaking funny after all these years.

Picked up this great 3-pack of the Oktober Guard from 1998, back when Kenner was in charge of the GI Joe brand for a hot minute. Interesting that they have Daina's real name on her file card, but give her the code name Volga. No idea what that's about.

I sure hope we get Classified versions of the entire Oktober Guard someday, because they are way too cool to be ignored.

As I continue reading through the DDP run of GI Joe, I just picked up the Dreadnoks: Declassified TPB, and it looks pretty great so far, especially with all the variant covers in the back. Really looking forward to reading this, because I love me some Zartan & the 'Noks.

Reading the Blaylock/Devil's Due Publishing (DDP) GI Joe comics for the first time, and they're ... really good?!

While I wait for the IDW Kickstarter Omnibus to come out later this year, I bought the entire DDP run off of eBay, and started reading them the other day. And I think I'm enjoying them a whole lot more than the latter Hama Marvel issues?

I had always heard that these were terrible, so I'm curious what everyone hates about them. I remember hearing that Blaylock and Jerwa just didn't understand the characters, but they seem completely fine to me.

For context, I just finished issue #27 with the Red Ninja clan, so there's obviously plenty of issues for the whole thing to go bad.

>The council voted 4-2 to reverse the Moscow Board of Adjustment’s decision to deny Rusty Olps’ conditional use permit application for the vacant 513 S. Main Street property.

>Councilors Scott Sumner, Bryce Blankenship, Sage McCetich and Drew Davis voted in favor of reversing the Moscow Board of Adjustment’s decision. Sandra Kelly and Evan Holmes voted no.

>Olps sought a conditional use permit to offer music, fitness, dance and martial arts classes, as well as church services at the vacant Main Street property. This space used to be home to Paradise Creek Bicycles and is in the designated urban commercial district.
