Loon Lake (Cache Creek) this weekend?

Was planning on fishing Loon Lake this weekend - what are they biting on this summer? Been a few years since i've been, but remember using lead line and spinner I believe.

Anyone there recently who can confirm how the smoke level is?

Heading up from Vancouver

Thanks,

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta - anyone been recently?

Any recent reviews here of KGNV? We just booked (family of 5) as most reviews on Expedia were positive, but then there are some who warn people to absolutely stay away. Anyways we have 24 hours to cancel if we change our mind, but would be good to get some insight from someone who recently stayed at this resort. We booked for Dec 28th for 1 week.

Thank you!

Plumeria help in Vancouver BC

Been trying to get a flower off this guy for about 4 years now. I’ve repotted once. Any suggestions? Fertilizer? Been keeping it outside on hot summer days. Still nothing :(

Order a 27’ Carnival Hybrid, or wait for 26’ prices to drop?

In the market for a Carnival (BC/Canada).
We Love the hybrid carnivals, but right now there is virtually no diff in pricing between a 26 hybrid, or a new 27’ order.
Do you think 26’ prices will drop this year? It seems demand is pretty high for these hybrids so not sure if there will be any incentives.
Dealers at this point don’t seem willing to drop from MSRP on the in stock 26’s. Either that or I’m a crappy negotiator lol.

Thx!

Found a used 25’ SX+ hybrid in Canada

Found this used (10,000km) 2025 SX+ hybrid lease return near me.
They are asking $59,900 Canadian.
What would be a reasonable sale price assuming they will go down? I understand new ones are just over $61 CDN, however they are tough to find!
Also, this is the first I’ve seen with running boards. Was that an option on 25’ models? I think it looks very nice with them.

Thx!

First Silverado

Just traded in my Audi Q7 for this 2024 Silverado High Country diesel. My first truck, as I’ve been driving SUVs for the past 20 years. Love the ride and the fuel economy is unreal compared to my previous vehicle. I’m sure my travel trailer will tow great this summer. Now to pick a tonneau cover

Pull trigger on 2023 Chevy High Country?

In the market for a used truck and can across this high country V8 with 44,000 Kms and clean title. Prior to this had my eyes set on a GMC SE, but love the options this one has (I’m coming from an Audi q7). Any recommendations from current owners? Being a 2023 I’d be at tail end of bumper to bumper so that would be a bit of a concern. Priced at $55,000 Canadian so seems reasonable. Towing a 4500 lb trailer so assume that won’t be an issue. Thanks for all input!

Help! Pull trigger on this 2024 Elevation x31 off road?

Never owned a truck before, will potentially be trading in my Audi Q7 for this vehicle.
They are pricing it as $49k (Canadian)
Only 11,000 kms, no accidents, 1 owner
V8 5.3 eco
Trailer package
Multi point tailgate

Obviously being a 2024, the bumper to bumper will expire in 2027, so that’s a bit of a concern.

Any advice on this thread for those of you with similar models? It seems like a good deal but again not a seasoned truck guy, so am throwing it out here if there is anything I should watch out for, or potential future concerns. Thx!

*EDIT** It is an SLE not Elevation - my bad, but does have some nice options

In the market for a new travel trailer, have found one with a layout that would work for our family of 5, but not sure if the specs are pushing the limits of our 2020 Q7 Technik (with air), especially when loaded up. Here are the specs...if anyone has towed anything similar, please let me know your experience. I do live in Vancouver BC area, so potentially pushing over mountains etc. For what it's worth, our previous trailer was about 800 lbs lighter, and had no issues at all. This one is 3 feet longer.

Thanks!

Trailer Specifications:

  • Dry Weight: ~4,584–4,585 lbs
  • GVWR: 6,084 lbs
  • Cargo Carrying Capacity: ~1,500 lbs
  • Hitch Weight: ~635 lbs
  • Exterior Length: 25' 0"
  • Exterior Height: 10' 6"
  • Exterior Width: 96"
  • Fresh/Grey/Black Water: 30/30/30 ga
