The most over complicated Bedtime story to tell
Once upon a time, in the deeply cursed and overly complicated world of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, humanity survived inside massive hierarchical cities controlled by the terrifyingly bureaucratic NOL, a magical military organization whose greatest powers were reality-altering weapons and enough paperwork to make anyone cry. In this world lived Ragna the Bloodedge, an angry wanted criminal with a giant sword and the unique talent of accidentally becoming the center of every cosmic disaster imaginable. Ragna’s simple dream was to destroy the NOL and maybe have one peaceful meal for once, but fate looked him dead in the eyes and said “absolutely fucking not,” because every few hours he had to deal with his emotionally unstable brother Jin Kisaragi appearing dramatically out of nowhere yelling “BROTHER!” before trying to stab him over unresolved childhood trauma. Meanwhile the universe itself was held together by terrifying concepts like the Azure, the Boundary, seithr, causality manipulation, and observer phenomena, meaning absolutely nobody—including half the cast—fully understood what was happening anymore. Then there was Hazama, a smiling menace in a fedora whose hobbies included manipulating timelines, psychologically torturing people, and acting like the slimiest man alive while secretly being an eldritch god-level hater named Terumi. Every time someone thought they understood the plot, Hazama would show up grinning like “hehehe, all according to plan,” even though the plan sounded like a drunken philosophy lecture written by anime scientists at 3 AM. As the story spiraled through BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, and finally BlazBlue: Central Fiction, reality itself started malfunctioning because timelines kept resetting, dead people kept respawning, memories were rewritten every fifteen minutes, and characters slowly discovered they were clones, Murakumo Units, living weapons, artificial humans, alternate selves, or some other horrifying anime revelation. Poor Taokaka spent the entire apocalypse surviving through sheer goblin energy while everyone else debated quantum metaphysics and existential despair. Eventually the Master Unit, the Origin, and the entire structure of reality began collapsing into the Boundary itself, forcing Ragna to finally confront destiny, sacrifice himself, and basically punch the plot so hard that he erased his own existence from the world just to save everyone from endless looping suffering. And after years of trauma, war crimes, cosmic horror, and enough exposition to kill a medieval peasant instantly, the surviving cast finally woke up in a calmer world where Ragna no longer existed, leaving everyone with peace at last… and also the lingering question of “what the fuck was the Boundary again?”
And so far everyone on the Blazblue universe live happily ever after without Ragna's existence?
Finally THE END.
