N64 was my main console as a teen. Goldeneye was a mainstay for my friends and I.

Perfect Dark dropped and I ate it up but my friends had moved on to other things, and I couldn't get them to buy in.

Fast forward to this month... i got a retroid pocket nova, and have been replaying everything n64 that i remember fondly. Having a blast.

Perfect dark in retroarch with custom key bindings, plays liie a modern dual stick shooter and...

It's as glorious as I remember.

Tried the android decomp, and was impressed, but couldnt get the controls how I wanted them, went back to retroarch.

TLDR: as a mid 40s gamer revisiting all things N64, Perfect Dark has to be in the top 2 or 3 all time bests. Having a blast.

On dropoff, the driver stated that the previous owner was 'messy', and they spent EXTRA time cleaning it out.

Inspecting the interior, we found what can only be described as a 'film' on glass, mirrors, and glossy surfaces... and what we thought was bits of food, wedged into corners and crevices. We're thinking, messy people with very messy kids.

Heavy scent of artificial 'freshener'.

Deep cleaned everything we could naturally find and access.

A couple days in now, the artificial scent has faded, and what is remains is clearly the scent of vomit.

What we thought was kids food, was probably somebody's blown chunks.

This needs detailed, and shampooed...

Think we can get them to pay for a detail? Will it help?

Really dont want to swap (again), cause the last one had mechanical issues... this one is already inspected by a trusted mechanic and is sound.
