The “Hairball” nickname

I’m fairly new to SOABD but love it so much I’ve almost finished all the episodes. But did it in a non linear way.

Not sure when it happened, but thank god Francis stopped calling Harry, Hairball. I love Francis but damn it’s always a tough listen.

I’m guessing there wasn’t an episode where someone tells him to stop? Haha

Restaurant Week: where have you gone and was it worth it?

Let’s hear people’s opinions on their restaurant week experiences. Was it worth the price? What dishes are a must try?

I’ve been to 3 so far

#1 Mokyo. $45 for 4 dishes. Very good. Crudo was very tasty. Corn dumplings are a MUST. Fried rice was ok. Sorbet was solid

#2 la pecora Bianca. $45 for 3 dishes. I was honestly just walking last night and saw it so I said why not. It was fine. Had the whipped ricotta toast and the vodka pasta. Dessert was a little cannoli

#3 Mable BBQ. $45 for two dishes. Got the frito lie which tasted just like Taco Bell. Wasn’t bad but just expected more than Taco Bell. I wish they would let you get more meat for the entree. Like instead of one, you can get a half portion of 2 meats. But ribs were fine. Sides were pretty bland. Beans and potato salad which all came recommended

Where should we go or avoid?

Also most of them are the same as the previous restaurant week so you can chime in with that too

Cancellations beginning to increase

This was for 6am today, 30 minutes before showtime. A lot of people have already seen it, and this is a backup or a revisit

Better seats popped up too. Just because you can’t get a future date doesn’t mean you can’t find one here.

I’ve already been twice just from cancelations. And I have to be anywhere from rows H-M and dead center.

It’ll all work out

The Odyssey and The Raid Redemption similarities

There are two quick parts of the Odyssey that (I don’t want to say steals) takes from the raid.

First is when they’re in the horse and the guy is piercing his sword and hits one of the guys, and they use a cloth to wipe the blood so the enemy won’t know. Also obviously the covering of the mouth so he won’t scream.

Number two is at the end where he’s taking the hammer and breaking through the floor. Even the same way it was filmed by basically having the camera follow the weapon up and down

These two parts were almost exactly the same.

Anyone else notice this or am I overthinking?

I recently posted that Elden Ring is as easy or hard as you make it. But I forgot about Malenia

I do think it really is as easy or hard as you want to make it. But I’ll be damned with Malenia. Ahhhhhh

On my second play through and my lord. Good on me the first play through beating her but how in gods name did I do it

EDIT: I’m a faith build

What sports bar has the best food in Manhattan or Brooklyn?

For example, I’m obsessed with the nachos with pulled pork from Blue Haven. But I’m down for any kind of food that’s great

Looking for a new game. Not huge on story driven

Hello. Trying to find new games up my alley. I currently own an XBOX One but I might upgrade in a year or so. Here are some games I love with the things maybe I loved or didn’t:

Elden Ring - this might be my favorite. The exploration. Finding caves. Secret passages. I just hate the boss fights. I don’t want to fight the same dude 30x. Even 5x for that matter

Witcher - also loved how beautiful it is with the exploration. Just not big into then cut scenes and story

Arkham Knight - loved this. Like the puzzles a lot too. Love flying over the city. Not big on the story. I just started City and I hear it has the best story, but just not a story guy

Rdr2 - same thing. Beautiful. Fun. Exploring

Subnautica - this was different for me but still enjoyed it.

Control - got it on sale for like $3 and loved it. Got a little repetitive towards the end but I enjoyed it

Hogwarts Legacy - loved harry potter growing up so maybe it’s more nostalgic but inside of hogwarts was awesome

Assassins creed - I’ve basically played all the newer ones. (Except the newest.) like odyssey, Valhalla and mirage. All cool and beautiful but they get repetitive

Far cry 5 - it was fun but probably my least favorite of all so far

A game that I’ve seen people recommend a lot is Outer Wilds. I own it. I’ve gone to a couple planets and died pretty quickly. I didn’t get hooked. But if you tell me to give it time and it gets THAT much better, I’ll give it another go

I’ve also heard Zelda would be up my alley but unfortunately I only have an XBOX

Let me know what games to play next! Thanks guys

Peanut butter burger. Does any restaurant have a decent one?

First. Don’t knock it till you try it. I had one in LIC and it was a gimmicky one where they cut it in half and lay it face down. Then drizzle it all over the top. Was bad all around. I had a good one back in college and had it weekly. Has anyone had one that’s decent here?

Easter egg from Breaking Bad

Started to rewatch breaking bad for the second time after watching BCS for the first time.

In season 2 where we first meet Saul, Walt and Jessie kidnap Saul. Saul has a mask on with a gun to his head and says “it wasn’t me! It was Ignacio!”

Then when Saul starts to realize, he says, “Lalo didn’t send you?”

I thought this was pretty cool and I don’t think they mention anything else about those guys in BB

Jacks Dining Room & Selfies

I don’t really have social media. I have Snapchat to watch some foodies. This dude is just mostly taking selfies of himself. Like dude, you’re a food content creator. No one is coming here to look at you. He’s not even good looking. There’s not many other posters I’ve found on Snapchat that do NYC. Mike Chau is the only one I really like.

Anyone else get mildly infuriated by this or am I overreacting

It is awful. I feel like my ears are full of water. And they only unmute the crowd for one second when there’s a good chance. Worse when you’re bouncing back from the far superior TNT where everything is normal.

Speaking of TNT, they are just much better at every aspect. There’s 2 female announcers for ESPN. One isn’t bad but the other, oh my lord. Nails on a chalkboard.Needs to have a say in everything and takes forever to find her words. Intermission shows are garbage. Although it does feel like ESPN’s doesn’t have as much commercial time.

Overall just brutal compared to TNT. Rant over. Thank you for listening

He’s cute and has a great personality. He does help me in other ways. But he lasts 30 seconds in bed. He thinks he can fix it. He says it’s because of the lack of women he’s been with. Although, he is 35 but just says he’s the opposite of a f*** boy and I agree. He is a great guy but do I wait this out to see if he can fix it? If he can’t, what can I do to help it? He’s really embarrassed about it I can tell and I do really want to help.

EDIT: He’s tried the SSRI’s but he just lost his libido. He assumes it’ll be the same for a spray but I don’t want him using a spray either.
