Postpartum belly progression …. how did YOU look after giving birth?

I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and trying to mentally prepare for what my belly is actually going to look like after delivery. 😭
I know the uterus doesn’t immediately shrink back to its pre-pregnancy size, and that the belly can still look quite pregnant right after birth. But I’d love to hear real experiences from postpartum mums rather than just generic descriptions.
For those of you who’ve already given birth:
What did your stomach look like immediately after delivery — Day 0/1? Did you still look very pregnant?
What did it look like around 1 week postpartum?
What about 2 weeks?
And around 1 month postpartum?
When did you personally stop looking noticeably pregnant?
Did your belly change dramatically during the first week, or was it a gradual process?
How did the loose/soft skin and “mom pooch” evolve during that first month?
I’m especially interested in women who had a fairly large/forward pregnancy bump, because I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what I might look like after delivery and what kind of clothes I should have ready.

Did anyone else get EXTREME skin darkening during pregnancy? How much did it fade postpartum?

I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and I’ve developed a LOT of pigmentation/darkening in certain areas during pregnancy. And when I say darkening, I mean really dark — almost black in some places. 😭
The areas I’ve noticed it most are my neck, underarms, groin/private area, inner folds, buttocks, feet, and of course my nipples/areolas. Some areas are dramatically darker than my normal skin tone, and honestly sometimes it looks like I’m dirty even though it’s literally just the pigmentation.
For the mums who’ve already given birth:
Did you experience something similar during pregnancy?
How dark did yours get?
How much did it fade after delivery?
How long did it take to start noticeably fading?
Did most of it return close to your pre-pregnancy skin tone?
Did any areas stay permanently darker?
Did you do anything postpartum that actually helped?

Women who chose an elective C-section … why did you choose it & how was your experience?

I’m considering an elective C-section and would love to hear from women who chose one.
What made you decide on a planned C-section? How was the actual experience, recovery, and postpartum period? And looking back, would you make the same choice again?
Would really love honest experiences — good, bad, or somewhere in between! ❤️

37–38 week elective C-section - NICU risk?

35 weeks currently, and our OB has recommended a planned C-section around 37–38 weeks so we can do it before contractions/labour start.
We’re okay with the C-section, but nervous about baby being born a little early and potentially needing NICU care.
For anyone who had an elective C-section at 37–38 weeks — did your baby need NICU or have any breathing/feeding issues? Would love to hear your experiences!

Elective C-section at 37–38 weeks — did your baby need NICU care?

Hi everyone! I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant and trying to make a decision about an elective C-section.
Our OB-GYN has recommended that if we choose a planned C-section, we do it somewhere around 37–38 weeks, rather than waiting until 39 weeks. Her reasoning is that she would prefer to perform the C-section before contractions/labour begin, rather than having me go into labour and then needing the C-section.
My partner and I are supportive of the C-section, but we’re a little anxious about doing it at 37–38 weeks because we’ve heard that babies born before 39 weeks can sometimes have breathing/feeding issues and may need NICU or special-care observation.
Our biggest fear is basically: we don’t want to schedule the C-section early and then end up with our baby spending days/weeks in the NICU if it could have been avoided.
For those who had an elective/planned C-section at 37 or 38 weeks:
How was your baby’s transition after birth?
Did your baby need NICU/NICU observation?
Any breathing, feeding, jaundice, temperature or other issues?
If you could do it again, would you choose 37–38 weeks or wait closer to 39 weeks?
And if your doctor specifically recommended doing it before labour started, what was the reason?
Would really appreciate hearing people’s actual experiences — especially babies who were completely healthy and didn’t need NICU. ❤️

Finished Never Lie… what did you think?

Just finished Never Lie and I need to know… what did everyone actually feel about it?
Not whether it was “good” or “bad,” but what was your experience while reading it?
Were you genuinely creeped out? Did you trust anyone? Did you see the ending coming, or were you completely blindsided?
I can’t decide if I’m impressed, disturbed, or just in awe of how everything unfolded. Curious to hear everyone else’s thoughts (please use spoiler tags where needed!).

Readers who finished The Boyfriend: worth the hype? (No spoilers)

About 65% through The Boyfriend.
Please don’t spoil anything. 😅
Just wanted to know what everyone thought of it after finishing. Worth the hype? Did it keep you hooked till the end? And what would you rate it?
I’m enjoying it so far and keep second-guessing every theory I come up with.

Looking for fellow thriller readers in Tricity to start a book club 📚

Hey everyone!
I’m wondering if there are any fellow book lovers around the Tricity/Panchkula-Chandigarh area who’d be interested in starting a book club.
I mostly enjoy thrillers, psychological suspense, mystery, and the occasional romance, but I’m open to exploring different genres too. The idea would be to pick a book each month, chat about it (online or over coffee), share recommendations, and hopefully make some reader friends along the way.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, drop a comment or DM me. 📚
Would love to know:
• What genres do you read?
• Audiobooks, ebooks, or physical books?
• Would you prefer online discussions, in-person meetups, or both?

Which side are you on after finishing Verity?

Just finished Verity and I still can’t decide what actually happened.
No spoilers, but that ending has been living rent-free in my head ever since.
Which side are you on?
