So, und nun? Was ist jetzt die Strategie? Alles wieder rüber hiefen? Alte ETFs liegen lassen und den neuen Gral besparen? Abwarten was passiert? Panisch alles reinbutter was man liquidieren kann?

My setup is a Logitech GCloud running Moonlight and natively Discord to chat with my mates. All works well as long as I start the game stream which is when my audio quality plummets through the flor… any idea why that is and what I can do to fix it?

Ultimately it would be cool to stream games I want to play coop over discord.

About to get a S90F TV from Samsung and I wonder if it is a decent client as is or if I have to get some sort of mini pc?

Here‘s the pickle: I sometimes need to vpn pack into m home from my work pc. IT says no to another VPN client because it could interfere with the company vpn - fair enough.

So I thought, isn’t there a add on for Firefox that would only route my browser traffic through my own vpn? Should be good enough to open some locally hosted websites of mine.

Sadly I couldn’t find such a Add-On. All vpn stuff is just for public vpns but non you can configure yourself.

Has anyone maybe heard of a add on that could help me out here?

In Europe we often hear how unhealthy the average American diet is because fast food compared to „regular“ food is said to be cheap.

So I wonder… how expensive is it, if you just go and grab a single BicMac? No coupons, no menue no nothing - just the burger itself?

I try to run Ideogram4 on my old PC, 11GB VRAM and 32GB RAM.

In theory, it should work despite being slow. The VRAM is almost immediately full and the RAM keeps slowly filling up - to a point where it hits around 64% and then the queue fails because no memory.

… last time I checked 64% != 100% so… I have no idea what’s going on

TLDR; beste Win 11 debloated iso?

Ich hatte ja gehofft, dass die essenziellen Apps, auf die ich angewiesen bin, früher für Linux erschienen als Win 10 nicht mehr unterstützt wird. Schade.

Hab gestern das erste Mal auf wichtige Software verzichten müssen, weil die erforderlichen Treiber nur für Win 11 bereitgestellt werden… das kombiniert mit dem angekündigten Witcher 3 DLC (Wohooo btw!!!), welches auch nicht auf Win 10 laufen wird, setze ich mich dann doch mal mit dem Nachfolger auseinander.

Es kommt für mich aber gar nicht infrage dass ich auch nur ansatzweise den Datenkraken Hype von Microsoft in irgendeiner Form unterstützen. Kein Mensch braucht Copilot oder dergleichen. Daher war für mich von vornherein klar dass ich nach einer Custom ISO suchen möchte, und wollte mal die Schwarmintelligenz fragen was dort so aktuell das Beste ist was man empfehlen könnte?

Though I don’t get any errors or system messages, it just stops responding mid sentence

Well here’s an riddle:

I play around with various models so I set Keep_Alive to 5, because I need the resources freed up for now. Works like a charm!

… except for one model that I primarily use - ever other model does deload correctly but one certain model doesn’t.

Any idea why?

I have a DS224 with 2x4TB RAID1. Got a little problem.

I use my Syno mainly as a personal cloud and a storage for plex. My Plex library far outruns my personal storage needs.

I have around 1.7TB for plex, 390GB for personal documents and stuff and around 280GB in photos, vacations videos and so on.

That should come out to around 2.4ish TB - on a 3.6TB NAS yet I just got my 90% warning that my storage is sitting at over 3TB… where the heck did that go???

So ok sure, apps for the Syno will need some storage, the DSM itself will also need a bit but we are talking about 800 - 900 GB that are used up with god knows what.

I know it from my iPhone that I can check what’s using up my storage and show my biggest files and stuff. Is there a similar way for the Syno or had anyone has another idea where my storage went?
