What do I do in this situation?

So about 2 weeks ago a 72+ year old german guy contacted me through my ad on WG-Gesucht (I'm the one looking to rent, he had a place). His rent was out of my budget. (I clearly mentioned in my ad about what my max rent was) I considered it for a moment as it was cheap for the living area it offered. We shifted our conversation from WG-Gesucht app to WhatsApp. I asked for the pictures. He sends me pictures of the place except the bathroom ones. I ask him where are the bathroom pictures. He says Germans don't usually ask for those pics. I say that it's okay but I want to see them so can you send them. Then he says there's some communication problem between us and it's not going to work out and I say okay thank you for your offer but I have to decline.

I thought that's the end of it and deleted his WhatsApp chat from my phone. But a few days later he sends me this racist message. Mind you I have been nothing but respectful to this old guy. What's wrong with people?

What do I do in this situation? I'm not going to reply to him again. He's clearly threatening me because his ego is hurt or something. I have already started to keep all Screenshots and screen recordings of the chat as proof that I have not altered anything in the chat. Do I need to lawyer up in case he does something?

He doesn't even know my full name or my new address in Germany but still bothering me. How can people say whatever they want and think that the law is gonna be on their side. I haven't even entered Germany yet and I'm already experiencing racism. I really really hope that it's not the case with the majority of the people there.

Edit - to all the people saying I'm hiding something and have not posted the full conversation.... DM me I'll send you the entire long screenshot. It's just those 4 messages in that order. That scroll down mark you see is the 4th message in the second picture. I have nothing to hide here. I cropped the pictures to hide his phone number.

Moderate risk appetite according to the survey I took - Need advice - im a doctor

Goal - retirement (I'm currently 26)

Horizon - 30+ years (till I'm 55+)

App used - coin by zerodha

So I was having a conversation with Google gemini and I sent the same screenshots to gemini and it said that my Quant small cap has IDCW interim and that will limit my compounding growth. I don't understand what that means... Honestly I don't understand what any of these terms and stuff mean. I have been investing about 5k in both of these funds for close to 2 years now (started Quant small cap first but apparently I picked IDCW and I didn't know and later I picked elss tax saver fund for the sole reason of me not wanting to take the money out before 3 years)

And when I search Quant small cap, of course there are 2 options one is growth and one is this IDCW. Do I change now or what should I do? How does this affect my growth? Does it affect how much money I'll have at the end? (for some reason that xirr is not loading when I checked yesterday it was around 10% - what is it?) I apologize for any inconveniences as I don't fully understand this market stuff as it's not my area of expertise. I've been busy. Therefore I ask you all for advice.

I plan on investing till I'm 55 at least and at some point increasing my sip by 5-10% in the coming years (3-4 years later when my income is stable) until then I will invest only 10k per month because that's all I can afford at the moment.

JLU Gießen Enrolment

So I enrolled to one of the programs at JLU and I got an email saying I can now activate my student email and account which I did. After that I think my applicant account is deleted or something because I get an error saying username and password doesn't exist...

Honestly that would not have been a problem but it was in my applicant account that there were important documents like enrolment certificate, semester timetable and stuff and mostly importantly if I want to de-enroll let's say, if I get a better opportunity else where, that option was available only in the applicant account and not in the new student account. Now that it's gone, what do I do? Is this normal?

Please I need help!

MSc one health at Justus liebig university at Giessen

I know it's a new program and this would be the first batch of people in winter semester 2026.

Anyone who applied for it and has been accepted?

If yes are you considering taking that program?

Given how new this program is and we don't really know what job prospects it has after finishing but on the website it does say we have research, NGO, pharma and stuff.

What are ya'lls opinion of this program? Any information is appreciated.

Expatrio - NO SUPPORT

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a name correction request that I submitted on 12 June 2026. According to the information provided on your support portal, requests of this nature are typically resolved within one business day. However, it has now been nearly a week, and I have not received any response, update, or confirmation regarding my case.

The issue concerns a discrepancy between the name recorded on my passport and the name displayed in my Expatrio account.

- Passport Name:

First Name: Shamanth

Last Name: Hethagonahally Lakshminarayana

- Expatrio Account Name:

First Name: Shamanth

Last Name: Lakshminarayana Hethagonahally

As can be seen, the order of my surname has been reversed in the Expatrio system. While this may appear to be a minor administrative issue, it could potentially lead to significant complications later in Germany when verifying my identity with authorities, banks, universities, or immigration offices.

When I initially reported this problem, I also attached a copy of my passport to support my request and to facilitate a prompt correction. Unfortunately, despite the urgency of the matter, I have not received any response.

This delay is particularly concerning because I have an upcoming German student visa appointment. Before attending the appointment, I still need to transfer funds to my blocked account. However, due to the mismatch between my passport details and my Expatrio account information, I am reluctant to proceed with the transfer. Sending a substantial amount of money while there is an unresolved name discrepancy could create further complications and make the situation more difficult to resolve later.

As an international student preparing for my move to Germany, I am working under strict timelines for my visa process, financial documentation, and travel arrangements. The continued lack of communication has left me uncertain about how to proceed and has caused unnecessary stress during an already time-sensitive period.

I therefore kindly request:

1 - An immediate update on the status of my name correction request.

2 - Confirmation that my documents have been reviewed.

3 - A clear timeline for when the correction will be completed.

That said many peope told me to just give up because my grade was too low but I perservered. It's my time to shine finally.

PS - Would like to connect with fellow students starting at DIT this winter semester.

Feeling low

I had applied to DIT - Digital Health. They invited me for an aptitude test. Cleared that. Waited patiently. On Friday they sent out few acceptances and today they sent out more acceptances. I haven't received anything but silence. I got to know from other applicants that they send rejections after the deadline as it's an NC frei program.

I was really interested in that program but I guess it is what it is. So long Germany. Good luck to you guys. Wish you the best for everyone else who's waiting. Good things are waiting on the other side I suppose.

Is anyone applying for MSc cancer and immunity at Regensburg?

If you are applying for the above program do you know what the essay topic is?

On the official website it only states that the topic will be published in May but here we are in May and no topic yet.

I tried submitting the application but I cannot seem to submit it as it get an error message. Is it only me or have they intentionally made it unsubmittable till the essay topic is released?

I (26M) have finished MBBS and have 6 months of work experience as we speak.

Because I have done MBBS I cannot apply to pure science programs as I'll be rejected for not having enough credits in certain subjects. I can only apply to medicine programs.

My 10th score is 86% (ICSE)

My 12th score is 88% (state)

My aggregate MBBS score is 58%

My IELTS score is band 7.5

I am learning German as we speak and have no certificate yet.

I am applying for winter semester 2026, but only for English taught programs which I suppose is highly competitive and needs high grades in bachelor's degree. I am really hoping to get into any one program. My city of choice is Berlin but I'll take any city

I am applying for the following universities:

Freie University

- Biochemistry

- Neuroscience

- Biology

TU Dresden

- Regenerative Biology

- Medical Bioengineering

Potsdam University

- Toxicology

- Digital health

- Public health, exercise and nutrition

Tübingen university (already got a mail saying I'm temporarily excluded because I don't meet their required grade criteria)

- Biomedical technologies

- Medical Radiation Sciences

Regensburg university

- Biology

- Cancer research and immunity

Greifswald university

- Infection biology

- molecular biology

Humboldt university

- molecular biology

- neuroscience

- Medical optics

Very few of these programs do need low level German (A1) but I'm still gonna apply anyway because why not? Might as well take my chances... The worse they can do is say no.

So please can anyone tell me is there even a slight possibility that I'll get into any one of these programs?
