So halb Lost Place

The most unusual sightseeing ride you can have (Berlin, Germany)

Sooo i've had the honor of taking a ride on the BVG U-Bahn Cabrio. Basically a sightseeing ride on open-top trains through Berlins subway network.

The ride takes you through the lines U7, U8 and U9, as that's the only route that would make sense right now.

Tickets are pretty hard to get, they sell out fast. Rides are from April to October every Friday evening.

The locomotive is battery powered, as the starting station, Deutsche Oper, is in the small profile network, the other parts of the route are large profile. The train has 4 flatbed cars that got retrofitted with 50 seats each.

If you have a chance of riding this: Do it! The feeling is so goddamn unique. And Berlin is the only city in the world having a ride like that on it's metro network.

It's in German but I've made a video about that thing https://youtu.be/DN7But-WsX0?si=Os0P6HY45aWPMsCm
