I love when authors get called “Author” in the comments

Like when someone uses it as a name or title. As i reader i always express my gratitude to the author and their work, like “Another good update, thank you lovely Author” and now as i writer i’m getting similar comments on my work. i just think it is so cute that we do that🥰

I NEED TO START T NEOWW - Need advice desperately

I have very bad mental health due to my dysphoria, I need to start on T as soon as possible and i am very desperate.

When i saw my GP he referred me to the gender clinic. I have waited a month or two, but the waiting list is very long. I think about straying T every day.

Now, i am making this post because i saw the other persons post- about their GP saying they needed to see a psych, even though this is wrong under the informed consent model. Everyone was saying they should see a different GP.

I feel really stupid for not thinking about that. now HERES MY QUESTION!! I i’m in a rural small town. Not a lot of people are accepting around here. I’m only 18 so my GP is just my regular family doctor i’ve seen growing up. I’ve had a look around on those profiles they list for the doctors on the websites, and i can’t find any doctors that seem to specialise in trans stuff, or even know anything about that.

My GP referred me to the gender clinic in the first place because he knows NOTHING about trans healthcare- i would not be surprised if he did not know about the informed consent model.

I could see another practitioner, but Im nervous I’ll go through the same process as last time- basically just being passed off onto a waiting list. As I imagine they’d also know nothing about hrt or trans healthcare. It would just seem like a waste of time on my end.

I know there might be an option to have a phone call with a Gp from the city? I’ve never done that though, and I don’t even know if they’d be able to prescribe anything for me.

I don’t have any other trans people or accepting adults in my life to ask about this, I just really need some advice on what to do or where to go from here, i’ll take anything. In WA if that helps.

Problems with linking ATO. Why?

I’ll start this off by saying I have a disability, i have tried reading through the website and other sources, but i found it all very confusing and frustrating as i did not understand, and nothing i did worked.

When i go into mygov it shows ato as linked, but when i press on it, comes up as “Your sign in method doesn't meet minimum access requirements”

MyID has always had strong strength since i set it up, so i dont see why this would be the problem. I have already tried logging out/in again, and changing the sign in settings.

Have anyone else experienced this? How did you end up fixing it?

Is there a way to straighten wings after moulting?

Hello! I have recently got a spiny leaf insect.
I think before i picked him up that he moulted. He has wings already, but they are not straight like shown in photographs/pictures. I’m worried that they were disturbed during the hardening process.

  1. Is there a way to help this?
  2. Would he be in pain because of this?

Thank you!

Reasons for being plural (other than trauma/DID)

Hello! I was reading a comment thread where someone suggested the poster may be plural. The poster responded that they didn’t have trauma that would cause that to happen, then the commenter replied that there are many reasons someone could be plural besides trauma. I asked, but they never got back to me.

I’m not very educated on the topic, so i just had some questions.

My understanding is that trauma causes the brain to form alters - known as DID or OSDD

  1. What other reasons, besides trauma, would alters be caused to form?

  2. I did some looking on this sub and have come
to the conclusion that DID or OSDD is not the only form or plurality or label that goes under plurality. What other things would be classed as plurality?

  3. for these other things. Are alters still called alters, or is there another name?

I’d appreciate any answers or sharing of experiences to help me better understand. Thank you!
