A physics puzzle in a vintage cardboard cutout style: Her Last Wish

Hi everyone! We're a small indie team working on Her Last Wish. It's a physics puzzle game in a vintage cardboard cutout style.

It tells the story of the main character's late wife's dying wish. He has to take care of a strange creature that lives in a cave near their home, and deliver food to it by solving physics puzzles. There are no timers or penalties for mistakes, you can restart instantly and just take your time experimenting. A few days ago we finally opened our Steam page and released the trailer.

We'd love to hear your feedback ❤️

Her Last Wish - RSNova Studio - A physics-based 2D puzzle game set in a vintage cardboard diorama world

Hi, r/Games!

We're a small indie team working on Her Last Wish, a physics-based 2D puzzle game set in a vintage cardboard world.

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4912830/Her_Last_Wish/

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vsgMFRMeJA

We wanted to make something quiet, meditative, and emotional. You play as a man fulfilling his late wife's final request: caring for a strange but gentle creature living in a cave near his home. To feed it, you solve physics puzzles by guiding round snails to the cave.

We designed each level as a cardboard diorama, using soft sepia-toned lighting and a subtle old-film grain to make it feel a little like opening an old box of memories.

On the gameplay side, we wanted to remove as much pressure as possible: there are no timers and no penalties. Players can freely experiment with the physics, restart a level whenever they want, and search for solutions at their own pace, with a meditative soundtrack in the background.

Platform: PC / Steam
Release: TBA

The game is currently in active development, and we're continuing to work on the puzzles, visuals, and overall atmosphere.

Thanks for reading all the way through ❤️
