Well, it took about 3 years (give or take 1 or 2) of collecting VHS but i found my first adult movie

Went to one of my local thrift stores that often just dumps accepted vhs tapes (and even hardware) in huge dump/trash containers in the back of their parking lot (they allow dumpster diving) and found this. In the past i have (among other things) found a VHS of Silence of the Lambs and even a Video2000 recorder/player (top-loader type) in their dump containers.

Today's Majorette Score

It might not come across too well on this picture but the Jaguar has a fantastic metallic green color with glitter in it.

Found this one yesterday, goes well with the T1 i picked up a couple days back

Found this hot pink VW Beetle with surfboard 2 days back. Fun to put next to my (also surfboard carrying) VW T1 pickup i found earlier this week. (which makes sense, they come from the same series)

Today's finds

Came across a small toy store and decided to see if they had any Majorette cars, walked out with this beautiful mint groeen VW T1 pick-up with surfboard and a racing striped 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1

Started collecting Majorette cars about 2 months ago, my collection so far:

(Please excuse the dusty larger BMW and Mustang models in the back, those were moved there out of storage and i have not had time to dust them off yet.)

For a good long while now i wanted to start collecting small model cars but was looking for a brand that was: 1 affordable
2 had metal bodied cars that also complied with point 1
3 produced factory spec/stock road condition cars (instead of only heavily tuned cars in fantasy liveries) and landed on Majorette.

I do have some rules for myself when it comes to collecting these:
1 I only collect cars build before the year 2000
2 i am allowed exceptions to rule 1 if i really like a specific more modern car
3 apart from general oldtimer/classic car collecting i am trying to get a model of every car my father, grandfather, great grandfather and great uncle owned in the same color they had.

I am curious to you guys' thought on my collection thus far, and if you do not recognise one (or multiple) of the cars i have feel free to ask!

Picked up this cute little cream/milk jug today

This little jug for cream/milk (the kind to be added to coffee) was made in 1961 by the dutch firm Zenith (no relation to the american electronics company) of the dutch city of Gouda (famous for it's cheese) and would originally have been paired with a sugar bowl and a plate to put both on.

Are food/tea containers considered kitchen toys? Cause i picked up this little beauty today.

I picked up this cute little tea tin for 50 cents at my local thrift store.
I absolutely LOVE the flower decorations on it!
I always loved my grandmother's old tea, bread, coffee, biscuit etc. containers (she has those with chinese style decorations on them)
A little google told me this style of decoration which mimicks porcelain but on metal is called ''toleware'' and that my little tin is probably from the 60's or 70's.
I will for sure be on the lookout for more containers in this style. I would love to have a complete set just like my grandmother has.

I picked it up cause i love vintage kitchen/household equipment (lasts forever unlike most modern things) and i really really love the floral pattern!

Came across this piece of artwork in the book and i wonder...

I was flipping through the pilot artwork book and came across this piece of concept art of Gwen in the repair halo.

Not to be ''that guy'' but i can't help but wonder, is that the machine not being finished repairing her chest so it still shows some of that blue/purple ''blood'' or does this mean Gwen has nipples that match her hair color?

Thought you guys might like seeing my VHS collection

Not shown: about 5 to 10 kid's vhs tapes still somewhere in my dad's storage, about 20 home videos of either family vacations or home recordings of shows/cartoons from my childhood (shows like Tom & Jerry, Thomas the Tank Engine, Postman Pat and Fireman Sam among others) and a couple of the Disney classics/originals (i have all those bundled together on a couple dedicated shelves which means those consist of VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray's all mingled together)

(Sorry if some images are dim or unfocused, i don't know why but i just could not get my home's lights to co-operate today)

I sometimes find VHS tapes in the dumpster behind my local thrift store (they have separate dumpsters for furniture, for electronics etc. and they happily allow dumpster diving) today i found no tapes, but i did find this:

I always wanted an old top loader (did not care if it was VHS, Betamax or V2000) so finding one for free was a very fun surprise. Now to put a new electrical cord in the back (i have multiple in storage, just need to pick one up) and see if this big beast still works or even powers on.

Any recommendations for youtubers who draw fantasy maps?

The title pretty much says it all, i love getting inspiration from seeing other people draw their maps and i used to watch alot of WASD40's mapping on youtube but nowadays he mostly focuses on DnD reviews and has not done any map drawing video in 4 years.
Are there any Youtubers who also draw fantasy maps? (and still regularly/with at least some sense of frequency upload new videos of them doing so)

[TOMT] [MOVIE] {late 1990's early 2000's) Compilation tape with 4 cheap animated movies (might be considered Knockoff movies)

I have recently found all my childhood VHS movies and i am trying to catalog all of them, which i tend to do by sorting them by year (year the movie came out, not the year the VHS was released unless those are the same)
However i hit a snag with having a lot of those cheap almost knockoff looking vhs kids animated releases that ran rampant in those days.

I have this video that has 4 movies bundled on 1 tape, all 4 of them with the usual cheap animation style. 1 of them is an adaptation of Hercules (this one seems to be from 1997), 1 of them is a version of Mulan (might be from 1998 but i am not sure) and the other two are the ones i can find no info on. 1 is a version of Anastasia (not the Don Bluth one and not the one often released as ''The Secret of Anastasia'') and the last is a version of the story of Moses (labelled as ''The Prince of Egypt possibly in hopes of being mistaken for the Dreamworks one which it is NOT)
I would be very happy if anyone might be able to help me either pinpoint the release year of this tape or the years of the two movies i have not been able to find info on (Anastasia and The Prince of Egypt)

Got this vintage/antique Heller petroleum stove for free from a local farmer who was cleaning out one of his barns and decided to try my hand at restoring it a bit, this is the before and after of the first step: cleaning it with nothing but water and a sponge

I have always loved vintage/antique stuff and wanted to try my hand at restoring something. So when a local farmer (close enough to my home to almost consider him my neighbour) started clearing out his barn and putting stuff on a table with a ''free to take'' sign and i saw this vintage petroleum stove on there i thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try my hand at somewhat restoring something. So far i have cleaned everything with nothing but a kitchen sponge and clean, cold water and the difference with all the years of accumulated dust, dirt and other debris rinsed off is already huge. Next on my list (in no particular order) is: - Trying to straighten out the bend leftmost burner dial
- Try to remove some if not most of the rust
- Touch up spots where rust used to be with epoxy resin
- Touch up the epoxy spots with Enamel paint in (as close to) the same color as the rest of the stove
- If possible try to find a replacement for the missing burner knob and the trivet/stove rack

Getting a very vintage crt in the (probably not too distant) future

My grandmother's last living cousin (both are well in their 90's) has been visiting us relatively often in recent months and a couple visits back he told me (he loves telling stories from the family's past) that underneath the floor of his house are a couple of tv's the previous occupant left there when he moved in and when i expressed interest (mainly wondering what brand and/or type they might be) since i just love old electronics and furniture in general he told me that next time he opens up the floorboards i can take one of them for myself. So considering he has lived in that house since early summer of 1971 and according to his son already looked old tho them back then the tv's are probably late 50's or even older. Even if they do not work anymore it will be a nice decorative piece to place on a dresser or cabinet.
