Dedicated subsonic build…..firing with or without a suppressor
shot a buddy’s 300 blackout Ar-15 over the weekend with a lightened BCG. It not only shoots subsonics without a suppressor extremely reliably. but the recoil feels like a 22 with very little to no dot bounce in the optic. I decided to build my own. he is currently using a JP aluminum LVOM BCG and 3 ounce buffer. I was thinking of going to an even lighter buffer. has anyone played around with this type of setup with ultralight BCG
I know I will get a lot of criticism by naysayers. so I will give some answers upfront
I’m fully aware that an aluminum BCG requires cleaning maintenance and is a consumable item. this doesn’t bother me since my ammo costs per year dwarfs the costs of a BCG
I have no interest in SuperSonics. they are to slow to shoot , more concussion, more recoil, more dot bounce, negligible energy difference at 200 yards (from a 7.5“ barrel), and I don’t want two zero's in my optics
I’m able to reload subs for similar price as over the counter 5.56. ammo budget doesn’t bother me at this price point
I prefer to stay on topic on lightweight BCG set ups. I appreciate your understanding
