Given a 2 star review for melted ice cream 🙄

I get that this is disappointing for the customer but I hate that Instacart groups orders that have ice cream and like items and of course always end up being the last delivery!

This was a three person delivery and they were my last stop; I put the ice cream in my cooler bag with ice but it still got melted since we’ve had 95-100 degree weather these past few weeks.

Instacart sucks for this and also the customer needs to understand if you don’t want your food waiting around to get it yourself.

I (26 F) share my location with my cousin (34 F), I feel like she’s over stepping my privacy, what is the best way to approach this?

My cousin and I live 4 hours away, we’ve always been really close growing up. I went through a break up about 5 months ago and she’s been amazing at supporting me through this. Since I’ve been going on dates and meeting new people I told her I was going to share my location with her just in case something ever happens to me. My mom and sister also have my location as well as a friend of mine.

Recently she’s been acting offended when I don’t pick up her calls or txt back for a couples which tbh I don’t always want to be txtn or calling, sometimes I just want to have some time to myself. Well she’ll txt me and say “I know you’re at.. so and so” or “you’re at home, answer”. I was able to tolerate it for a bit but now it’s been like 2 months and it’s just so fucking frustrating! I don’t ever do that shit to her. I have her location but I hardly ever look at it, I don’t think I’ve ever looked at it unless she’s told me to. If she thinks I’m somewhere sketchy she’s all “who you with? What are you guys doing? Better not be with your ex?”. To me that’s very over bearing, my location is not meant so that I can be stalked and tracked all the time.

I have turned off my location at times cause I don’t want her questioning me and she’ll point it out and tell me to fix my location. I don’t want her to have it anymore I just am having a hard time finding how to tell her and how to go about it. I am a very blunt person and I know if I tell her in a way that I tend to communicate it’s going to hurt her feelings, any advice on anyone whose gone through this or how to say it in a kinder way, because knowing me I’ll be very direct and it’ll cause her to be upset. Thanks guys!

Cheating ex reached out to me and continues to blame me for the break up

For context he would always tell me no other man would want me and that if they did it was only because they want sex and my body. We were together for 5 years and he cheated 3 times in our relationship that I know of. In march I found out he was emotionally cheating in November/December. Cheaters will always try and blame you and then gaslight you into thinking you’re crazy.

He can’t even claim our sex life was boring. We were having sex 4/5 times a week multiple times a day. I work I go to school I’m family oriented don’t drink don’t smoke, no kids, love traveling, loved spending time with him but all that still wasn’t enough for him.

Who else hates the term “Best life ever”

Forgot I had my JW cousin on IG and I she just posted a story saying “we worked all day, now time to relax and enjoy the beach, truly the best life ever”. It is soooo fucking cringy!!!

In the pics they’re around the brothers I’m not sure if they worked in the KH or some sort of preaching campaign but omggg I freaking hate this term!! I hope they get out one day.

Looking for resources on how to learn to sing

I would love to tap into my singing a little more but I literally don’t know much other then what I learned in middle school choir class. I would say my voice is most similar to Shakira and can hit lower raspy notes. I definitely sing better in Spanish than English. Anyone have suggestions on where I can get beginner lessons? I would love to take in person classes but I can’t afford that right now. Thank you! 🙏🏻

My experience as a teenager girl in the JW organization

Standing up against the JW cult as a teenage/young girl

Just wanted to share my experience and hope that this helps someone also going through the same thing.

I’ve posted before that I was born and raised as a JW, despite not wanting to I got baptized and began living a “double life” around age 18. I started dating someone at 19 (I’m now 26) who turned out to not be a great person who did date rape me. Word got around and I was called to have an elders meeting. During this meeting they made it a point to make it clear that if I hadnt stepped out of the organizations rules this wouldn’t have happened. False: sexual abuse happens in the organization all the time. There’s bad people everywhere, regardless of race, religion, country, etc, there are always going to be dangerous plp out there.

They also wanted every single detail about our interactions, including how many times, where, when, if I yelled out for help when it happened, because according to them the bible says it’s not rape unless I yelled out for help, which was impossible because I was spiked and I was in and out of consciousness. This thinking is FLAWED! And it is not your fault!

They also had the audacity to ask me if I was pregnant and or taken a pregnancy test and taken myself to the dr to make sure I didn’t get any diseases, which might seem like caring but looking back when you’re sitting in a room alone as a 19 yr old girl who just got rapped being questioned by three grown men is just horrible. No actual concern for your well being, how about, do you need mental health support? Do you feel safe in your home (where it happened), do you need financial help? Do you need legal help? No, none of that. They are more concerned on if I’m actually innocent or not so they can reprove or disfellowship me.

My point is to just spread awareness and share my story to people and let them know you are not alone! Do not let this organization make you feel like you asked for the abuse, do not let them have you alone in a room especially as a woman this is so inappropriate, do not let them manipulate you. I eventually told my dad 4 years laters and since I told him how they treated me he said he “woke up” as many plp say on here, he says that’s all he needed to know to make the final decision to leave, he has been having thoughts but since that happened to me he wants nothing to do with it.

This religion is very controlling and will try and cut you off from anything outside of the organization because they know as soon as you start researching you will find the truth. I’m always here for anyone who need someone to listen or needs advice. Especially any women going through the same thing, I wish to become an advocate for women leaving this religion. I wish I had someone stand up for me back then and give me advice and reassurance so that I could have left much earlier, all of my family even extended family is all JW so I truly felt alone, I’m thankful now I have my dad and sister on the other side of this and we got out.

Things I hate about the JW cult

I’m 26 born and raised in “the truth”, I hate this term too btw it’s so cringy and hypocritical. The teachings change alllll the time yet it’s the truth! Pathetic.

Baptized at 16, and began pioneering and then did some traveling preaching campaigns; even went to Israel for a month for a special trip.

My family including extended is all still in the truth except my dad who after I shared my experience on how elders took me to the back room alone and demanded to know every detail about my “sin” (actually date raped) of having sex at age 19, he started realizing how horrible this religion is.

The fact they always shame you for wanting to further your education is crazy yet they look for people with further education do run their operations in Bethel and legal departments.

I hate that they constantly say things like “it’s up to their conscience” yet you know that that means you shouldn’t do it.

All the changed they’ve been made recently is so damn hypocritical it’s insane, and people just continue to follow it blindly. The list could go on and on of things I hate about this religion.

I hope my family realizes soon that this is a horrible religion and they get out soon, I have two younger siblings that are being raised this way and it makes me so damn sad… I want them to grow up with not so much trauma and live their life to the fullest

This 21 year old got me wanting to act feral

Dish is a traditional Mexican dish called molcajete which is also the name of the bowl. It is also used to make salsas, guacamole, spices and certain dishes like this one.

7/31 Update: he wants to take me out on a date tonight 🤪

Ok so I’m 26 and I got out of a 5 year relationship a few months ago. He is a very controlling narcissistic man. He wouldn’t allow me to go out with friends, have Instagram, go to the gym, etc.

Anyways, while planning my exit I started noticing this really cute guy that works at my local grocery store and honestly I thought he was 24/25, he always was helpful and friendly, after a few times of seeing him and breaking up with my ex I decided to ask him for his number. He shut me down and said he couldn’t cause he was already with someone.

Well fast forward to this past weekend, I ran into him in town while we were both out with friends, he came up to me and asked me for my number and said he was now single and left a toxic relationship, that he did want to give me his number back then but out of respect for the girl he couldn’t. Now we’ve been talking non stop and went on a date last night, he wanted to kiss me but I didn’t and now I regret it! But omgggg he makes me want to act feral!!!! Idk if it’s too soon or not but man he looks sooo fine!! We’re going on another date tomorrow night so I definitely plan on kissing him but don’t know if to just leave it at that!!

Edit: I found out he’s 21 last night, I’ve never dated anyone younger than me before so idk if this is bad that I’m into someone that much younger than me but our goals and mindsets are very similar so so far so good.

Also he met my dog and she loved him! He was so gentle and sweet to her!
