How is history taught in Russian Caucasus republics?

I am curious what you learn there in schools. Just Russian history or also history of that republic and causation people there? Maybe there is separate history for Russian and world and separate for republics?

Lets try to be more self critical.

We have a lot of fun here. In long threads we accuse each other how one is settler, another ethnic cleanser. Its all fun but now lets play another game.

Lets try to be self critical. Try to find things that in our own history. one that we believe, are clearly or mostly likely a propaganda used by state. Because we all know that states uses history to push own patriotic narrative.

So I can start. For example our government tries to present conflict as only aggression from Russia. I think thats not true.

I think there was a lot of unresolved issues. Mainly because of general Soviet Union politic how much national identity can be expressed in there. And of course I know stories about Georgians dismissing Abkhazian national identity saying there is no such nation. Or you came from North Caucasus. Such thing. Mainly problem of school education. One that should have been solved by more education and more media involvment. But of course I dont think this was enough to trigger a war. It was definitely used by Russians to make conflict bigger then it was.

In terms of war. There was agreement between Ardzinba and Shevardnadze to move army to protect railroad. Then Ardzinba suddenly have withdrawn it. But Kitovani being Kitovani. Moved anyway. Kitovani was getting tanks from Russia. And then Abkhazians were getting help from Russia. Showing again that Russia was puppetering.

Even at this point I dont think there was much desire for war or even independence in Abkhazians. But Ardzinba was intentionally twisting things that Georgian army came for genocide. And opened fire to Kitovani Army. Then Kitovani with his bandits. Started first robbing Abkhazian and Armenian population and then Georgian. He would continue robbing after war in Georgia too. He was peace of shit in general.

I think this is objectively what happened. After that I dont think we disagree. Because I never say anyone denie ethnic cleansing here.

Do you thing current economic crisis is unsolvable until it reaches breaking point?

The modern economy does not lack needs to spend money on. It lacks broad purchasing power. And thats the main reason of constant non stop economic crisis we are living in right now.

But broad purchasing power cannot be restored only by raising wages or taxes while markets remain captured by monopolies and oligopolies. Without breaking concentrated business power, wage gains are converted into price increases, rent increases, or capital flight threats.

The real obstacle is political. The institutions needed to make wage growth real — anti-monopoly agencies, strong labor law, tax enforcement, and union protection — are exactly what business interests fear most. Since parties depend on business money, they avoid building those institutions.

In theory, workers should solve this through unions. But in white-collar sectors, workers split into conformists and job-hoppers. Conformists do not organize because they want stability. Job-hoppers do not organize because exit is easier than trying to convince others to unionize. The people with the charisma and energy to organize often have better alternatives: becoming influencers, consultants, NGO workers, party activists, or entrepreneurs.

As a result, the system quietly redirects talent away from worker organization. Influencers become dependent on views. NGOs become dependent on grants. Political parties become dependent on donors. Everyone can talk about justice, rights, and reform — but almost nobody builds institutions that directly increase worker bargaining power.

That is why worker organization keeps weakening. Yes there still are sectors and contries that have them. But even there membership keeps declining. Curiously countries which have stronger unions and labor protection have lower incentive to create or join unions. Because you are already protected without it.

Of course we see some organization like amazon warehouse workers. But this organization is small, can be replaced with automation and again happens in marginalized sectors, not mainstream ones.

All of this creates world where no one wants to bother with creating real organization that can structurally change anything. Because upwards mobility lets people who can do it, achieve better life way easier.

I noticed that recent exposure to real life AI that can pretty convincingly fake human conversation and even human emotions completely changed my perspective on robots and any artificial intelligence in sci fi.

For example when I played Detroit: Become Human I was fully on robots side and there was no doubt in me that they were sentient and should be free. But now playing Pragmata and interacting with Diana made me question her every move and I cant seem to form a bond with her.

I have this constant question how different is this from people pretending to have relationship with AI. How do we know Diana is actually a sentient being with her own will, acting freely and making her own choices, rather than just an AI created by a corporation to behave like a child, simulate an inner world, and emotionally manipulate us?

Because of that, I find it much harder to bond with Diana than I would have in the past. What used to feel emotionally straightforward in sci fi now feels uncertain and suspicious. Instead of immediately accepting an artificial character as conscious, I now keep wondering whether I am just watching a very advanced performance designed exactly to manipulate me. While bot itself not having any inner world.

So what I am curios is are here other people who had similar change in perspective and because of that find it hard to bond with Diana?
