Decided to make a new ponysona and I love her soooo much! I like changelings, but not much of a fan of the exoskeleton and how they p much all still look alike. Im not sure whether to call her a changeling or just kinda her own thing. Maybe a flutterpony? Shes got lil Luna moth wingies 🦋

Alright so Im shocked I havent seen anyone try to make a puppet rig in grease pencil for mlp characters, so Im planning on learning myself

Im still new to all of this, but my current game plan is this

1. "legally" get adobe animate so I can open an mlp flash file

2. As seen above, Ive imported said flash file and split up each of poor Applejacks pieces into seperate parts so I can have a good refrence

3. Save this as a png and draw each piece in ibis paint on its own named vector layer (head, left leg, right eye ect) and save the whole thing as an svg

4. Import the svg file into grease pencil because I saw a video that says it will save the data of each layer (keep them all seperated, keep the names and in the correct order)

5. Figure out from there onward how to rig it all together

Would greatly appreciate any advice on this or helpful tutorials you think I should see 💖

Really sorry to bug yall, but I dont have adobe animate and would kill to have this flash puppet converted to svg. It seems pretty easy, you just literally cant unless you have AN.

So I've been down a rabbit hole discovering Sara Shakeel's art as well as others who make lovely photo edits as shown. I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a good tutorial on how to replicate these, but cant find one. I've been lead to believe that images 1-4 Im showing here all use images 5-6 shown as an overlay (Rhinestones) but no matter what layer effect I use, I cant seem to get it to look good. The parts that arent sparkly take over too much of the image as seen in the last photo. Can someone help me out?

I looooove images like this, iridencent waters, a nice lavender hue to everything and tons of realistic looming sparkles. Does this have a core/aesthetic name?

Also does anyone here know how to recreate it? Despite being an artist, image editing/photography isnt my strongsuit lol. Especially wanna know how people do the sparkles, they look so much better that the sparkles on paint programs

I wasn't much of a fan of the current Naiadgender flag and desc so I decided to make my own C:

Naiads are nymphs with specific ties to bodies or containers of freshwater. Known to have a love of nature and fierce loyalty to it, wanting to protect the nature around the water they reside in. They also keep their sources of water clean and beautiful. A Naiad can become weak if their home is sabotaged. While they are naturally shy like many fae folk are, they are also known to be helpful and kind to those they deem trustworthy. They can also be wrathful if they, their home or their loved ones are harmed and are surprisingly strong for their appearance.

Naiadgender encompasses all types of Naiads that are recategorized by the type of freshwater source they live in. Although Naiads in mythology are known to be strictly women, I wanted to include androgyny to make the label more inclusive 🩵

Dark teal stripe: Eleionomae - Naiads that make their homes in Marshes, wetlands and swamps. Surrounded by many non-aquatic plants and a wider array of animals

Teal stripe: Limnades - Naiads of lakes. Scenic and calm a lake stays still as a standing body of water, a comfortable and quiet home for fish, frogs and aquatic plants to thrive in.

Blue stripe: Potameides - Naiads of streams and rivers. Lovely and fast ever flowing water bodies that stay clean and transform the areas around them. Smoothing jagged rocks into beautiful safe pebbles. Streams can guide you towards your destination or you can fight against the current like the mighty salmon, a hard task to be certain, but you'll be a changed and stronger self at the end of such a journey.

Cyan stripe: Pagaeae - Naiads of springs. Whether warm or cold, natural springs are known for their properties of relaxation and health improvement, like nature's very own spa! Ground from deep beneath the earth imbued with minerals from the rock below emerge as these bodies of water. Many are naturally hot due to volcanic activity acting as natural jacuzzi for any person or wildlife to enjoy!

Lavender stripe: Crinaeae - Naiads of fountains, wells and other manmade bodies of water. These more social Naiads make their home in beautiful man-made areas of water and help protect the town and civilians surrounding it. The water within is the cleanest and sweetest water anyone can drink too!

Pink stripe: Femininity - Since all depicted Nymphs are female, they are heavily associated with femininity, but any feminine person may use this label!

Purple stripe: Androgyny - So folks who dont or dont fully align with femininity can identify with this label too :)
