Mitsubishi minicab speedometer

Went and took the minitruck off road today. And snagged a big tree limb that tore the cable for me speedometer off the transmission. I know very little about them. Attempted to get it back together and it seemed to get together fine. But the gauge doesn’t work. Snaps up to speed for a second before going back to zero when I hit a bump.
Anyone here know much about em. Of if I’m missing a part. And if so where I can order one

Homemade camper waterproofing

I have ultimately decided that I’m going to make a camper myself. Mostly because finding a camper for a 1994 Mitsubishi minicab is impossible. I’ll probably use a wood frame and plywood to be lightweight. But as far as waterproofing goes, I cannot decide.

Options might include aluminum sheets, some kind of spray on coating, maybe some kind of marine sealant.

I’m open to suggestions as well. I’d like to keep it as lightweight as possible since it will be in a kei truck. Thanks all in advance.

New Tundra short vs long bed

Currently own a 6 foot long bed 3rd gen Tacoma. And I’m considering getting a newer tundra for the extra cab space, and crew max is a must. But now I find myself debating on bed size. I would like a 6.5 ft bed but that would put the truck longer than a 2000 4 door duramax with the same length bed. Alternatively the 5.5 ft bed would be sweet but I wonder about capacity.
Those who have the 5.5 bed, does it fit everything you need it to fit? Do you wish you got the 6.5. It’s a common theme for the Tacomas for people to wish they had the long bed. So I wonder if that translates to the tundras.

Looking at getting my start

I’ve been camping a time or two with my dad or with a friend on occasion. I almost always just use a truck to carry the gear and then sleep in a hammock near the truck. But I think I’m wanting to start sleeping out of the truck as I get more into camping.

Currently drive a 6ft bed Tacoma with a diamondback bedcover. What would you do with this setup to get a sleeping system from it.
I’m open to any suggestions.

TLDR: need a sleeping system for the bed of this truck. Keeping the bedcover if possible. Looking for more expiriences and smarter people to help me figure it out.

Sunshades/ Privacy blinds

Hey there. Probably a strange question but I figured yall might be the best to ask. I’m sure some of you have some camper like setups that have windows. And I’m sure a good chunk of those people have something to cover those windows to keep the heat out or to have sone privacy or for whatever reason.

I’m wondering what yall have done to make that happen. I’m thinking of making my own but I’m not really sure how to get started. A hammock material would be perfect but I cannot seem to find that in a “tarp style setup” at least for a reasonable price. I’ve also thought towels or something like a shower curtain.

Regardless, lemme see what yall got. I’m happy to see what’s out there.

Bed sides question

Probably a weird question. I have a diamondback bedcover on my 2016 Tacoma. I’ve noticed in rainy weather the front leaks like a strainer. I’ve narrowed it down to these two gaps where the cab side bed side and the actual sides marry up. Any way to resolve this issue to keep my bed dry.

Needing a new knife

I’m in the market for my first spyderco. I’d like some recommendations because there’s endless options on the website apparently. Just a medium sized frame style that’s light and a good blade steel for general use with good edge retention and I can figure out the rest. Thanks all in advance.

Realistic asking price?

Title is pretty self explanatory. I’m heavily considering selling my Tacoma and I’m curious what I could realistically expect to sell it for.

I’ve got a tan 2016 Trd sport. Roughly 126k miles. It’s a 4 door with the 6ft bed. No lift or leveling kit but it does have some larger all terrain tires and some modest looking black wheels. Trd pro grill. And a diamondback bedcover that I’ll probably sell seperatly. That and some ceramic window tint and that’s about it. I can’t say the r word that tuned with bust but there is no oxidized metal anywhere on the truck. Got all my service records from the same dealer.

Only issue is some damage on the front bumper and grill where the previous owner failed to safely navigate a parking lot. And of course some spots where some paint corrections may be needed but they are minor.

Considering 3.0 duramax

I’m heavily considering a 3.0 duramax as a daily driver. I currently have a Tacoma but could use a little bit more cab space and I find myself wanting more torque.
I would prefer a 23 and up since they have the updated LZO but I find most of them are pretty expensive. Because of this I’m considering the lm2 instead but I’ve heard they are not as good. I intend to have them deleted if they are not already if that makes a difference.

My question is, should I wait a little and save up a little more for an LZO or should I go ahead and try to get an lm2.

Scag Tiger Cub Hydraulics

I’ve found a great deal on a scag tiger cub. Mower runs pretty good from what I’m told. However, the seller told me the hydraulic lines have air in them and need to be bled. I don’t think that would be to difficult but I’d hate to make a purchase and find out the hard way that it’s a big fix.
How does one bleed the air from those lines. And is it something yours truly can do in his driveway?
Thanks in advance. Have a great day

2012 ish Honda 420

Buddy of mine traded an old boat if his for a used fourwheeler. I noticed some strange rattling rattling noises when I would cut it off. Never been around many fourwheelers older than 98 and I’m wondering if this is normal or a problem

Probably one of new favorite past times. To take the mini truck to construction sites and compare the size difference with the equipment.
