What it says— I’ve just finished putting together my Combat Patrol and ready to dive into Tabletop 40K . Watched the Warhammer Academy videos on Combat Patrol and reviewed the faction data sheets but I honestly don’t have a clear idea of how the units work together, preferred enhancements and when/what stratagems/Doctrinas to use

Just hoping for a faction specific guide or video.

Very Creepy! Like the board set up too, we did diagonal so couldn’t just start on an objective, forced us into a bit more of a dynamic start.

Last September I finally decided to dive into Tabletop. Despite being a huge Dawn of War fan in the day, miniatures — and especially painting— intimidated me. But the local kindly shop owner showed me the basics and I pulled out the credit card and picked….Mechanicus!! Because Rule of Cool amirite?

Anyway, not a straight line to finishing, lots of other projects including a Spearhead happened in the last year. But I had a blast and no regrets. Mechanicus just looks awesome and I love all the little details (the Manipulus’ floppy disk cracked me up)

So about to start building/painting my Tech Priest Manipulus for the Combat Patrol. Looking at reference images I can’t figure out what is going on with the still on his back. Brewing up something green and glowy (and certainly to toxic), but what? Something to do with the galvanic cell?

Drag n me for missing the obvious but what do those blinking lights on the Deathmarks mean?

NO idea how I’m going to transport this guy but he was fun to paint.

So, I’ve brought out my Grundstock Trailblazers five times now, actually won a few times but looking for tips and strategies from you more experienced captains. I’ve relied on shoot and scoot which works great until it doesn’t!

Super fun to paint, less so to assemble 😆. Halfway through my combat patrol now, got the Pteraxi and Adeptus to go. Learning a LOT as I go along
