How often should a Lutheran participate in Holy Communion?

Hi!
I’ve been wondering about this because of Sola Fide, Sola Gratia…
Martin Luther said in the Small Catechism that you should participate in the Lord’s Supper as often as possible.
How often?

Increasing colour difference/contrast between unblockable red attacks and yellow/orange attacks?

Hi!
How could I increase the colour difference between the red attacks, which cannot be parried, and the yellow attacks?
The yellow/orange looks quite similar to red attacks but the visible rune during red attacks seems to help a bit.
Thanks!

AFAIK the Colourblind mode with the Tritanopia setting just changes the UI from orange to yellow but not the actual yellow/orange attacks which still look quite similar to red.

AFAIK, I’m not colourblind in any way but I just might have a cheap monitor. 😄

Why do Ukrainians and Russians call each other “Pidaras”?

Hello!
I am a Northern-European who is interested in Slavic cultures and I’m wondering why is “pidaras” the main word used by Ukrainians and Russians if they talk about each other?

Is it some general swearword now that means “*sshole” or does it mean anything else in this context?

Kas Eestis on reaalselt võimalik saada meditsiinilist kanepit ülitugevate valude korral?

Tere!
Mul on huvitav küsimus:

Kas see oleks nö vastuvõetav näiteks teistes EL’i riikides ja võib-olla EL’i institutsioonides?
See on muide väga suure konkurentsiga eriala.
Avaldage julgelt arvamust!

What could help my chronic pain?

Hello!

I have had chronic pain, slowly spreading, since 2024.
Right now I use Tramadol 100mg 3 times a day, paracetamol 1000mg 2 times a day and ibuprofen 400mg 1-2 times a day.

I still have moderate pain in my shoulder and upper chest area. The doctor who treats my pain has told me that for chronic pain, I cannot get anything stronger than Tramadol as oxycodone and morphine are meant for short-term use and would make my situation worse in the long-term.
The cause of the pain is unknown.

What could help me relieve the chronic pain in addition to the Tramadol?

Thank you for all advice!

How well is it known in Finland that the Finns mainly descend from Viking age Northern-Estonians?

Hello!

I have recently been reading about Finland and the Finnic people, who are truly unique in Europe and I found it quite surprising that practically all Finns descend from Viking age Northern-Estonians as that founding population predated the massive/exponential increase of the Finnish population and the Finnish colonization of non-coastal, inner regions of Central- & Northern-Finland.

As a Northern-European, Finns have always seemed like the “definition of Finnic people” as even the Finnic subgroup is named after them, Finland’s population surpassed Estonia in the 16th/17th century and the economy (GDP per capita) surpassed Estonia after WW2.

So, how well is it known in Finland that the Finns descend from Estonians the same way that the Icelanders descend from Norwegians? What is the general opinion about Estonians and how similar do you think they are to you in the 21st century? How well do you understand Estonian? Is it comparable to an Icelander understanding Norwegian or Danish?

It is fascinating how Finnish has preserved a lot of archaic elements of the ancestral Finnic language while Estonian has linguistically innovated quite a lot. Just like Icelandic is similar to Old Norse while the Scandinavian languages have changed a lot!
Interestingly, Finland innovatively created many new Finnish words, for older loanwords, in the early 20th century and this seems to have decreased the mutual intelligibility with Estonian. For that reason, Estonian and Kven look more similar because of shared words/loanwords from Germanic languages and Kvens live in the far north of Scandinavia!

Thank you in advance, for all your insights and opinions!

Eesti sisetarbimine on EL’i madalaim koos Ungari ja Lätiga.

Is it normal to not get any painkillers after surgery?

Hello!
Some time ago I had a hair transplant and the issues after surgery were massive.
Firstly, I was not prescribed any effective painkillers after the surgery so I was losing my mind because of the extreme pain for many days after the surgery. My GP gave me a prescription for some useless Ibuprofen-type painkillers that are not even a prescription in most countries.
The surgeon who operated on me just said that I should endure the pain like an athlete. I was visibly extremely muscular and athletic but that should not mean that I am not provided medication for extreme pain that would make some people suicidical.

Secondly, my entire face and head swelled up like a balloon, I couldn’t even wear my glasses properly and I looked like a Nintendo Wii character for almost a week.

Were those issues normal after a FUE transplant? Isn’t FUE supposed to be less invasive and easier to recover from?
The intense complications after the surgery played a major role in me losing my career and almost everything in my life. Painkillers would have helped and more empathy from my superiors would have helped as well as I recovered in a few months thus forcing one extremely experienced employee out of his job was completely unnecessary.

Could this community here tell me what possibly went wrong for such extreme complications to occur?
Thanks!

Kas suvel tehakse “back to school” puhul kuskil läpakatele allahindlusi?

Tere!

Ma potentsiaalselt sooviksin teadustöö, ülikooli jms asjalike asjade jaoks uue läpaka osta. Kas, Tallinnas, suve jooksul kuskil tehakse kuskil allahindlusi “tagasi kooli” puhul? See on lääneriikides levinud, seega kas seda on näiteks eelnevatel aastatel tehtud?

Tere!

Seega mida üks, kehveneva tervisega, puudega inimene tegema peaks sellises olukorras?
