I finally resigned from a company I hate working at, so during my notice period what all can I legally/safely do, what are the limits, how can I mentally chill and survive without getting into trouble with HR or managers before leaving?

Any smart ways to enjoy the remaining days peacefully without getting into trouble?

Honestly, this job is starting to destroy my mental health and personal time. I work US shifts for a US-based company. The salary is decent, but I’ve been working as a contractor for more than 1.5 years with no clear promise of being converted to full-time.

The bigger issue is that I don’t see much future growth or useful skill development in this role. Office culture also feels very isolating — no real friendships, everyone just feels like coworkers trying to survive. My manager clearly doesn’t seem to like me and keeps extending contracts while making certain favorite people permanent. The office politics is exhausting.

Now I’m stuck and confused about whether I should quit or continue. Part of me is scared I won’t find another job easily, especially with all the news and uncertainty around fuel prices/economic issues in India.
