My large shirts are …well, large. I can get away with wearing them
but the pads are too big. Was a 36c went down to a B cup.

I’m ready to order more removable bra pads but am hoping with the new sizing they fit properly.

My husband, who is Parisien, and I often watch those YouTube channels on Paris while enjoying our weekend aperitifs.

Presently watching because we’re looking to add a restaurant or two to our list for an upcoming return—but we have to figure out timing because we will have meals at his family’s house as well.

That said, we recently watched a few videos by Les Frenchies, a couple who live on the outskirts of Paris and have recommendations for sites, places to eat and stay..yada yada.

We were rather “WTF”ing their recent videos! Nothing but fear mongering! My husband was really ticked iff because of the passive/agressive nature of Paris being dangerous-not-dangerous.

Look. Paris is safe. As an American, I feel a lot safer in Paris than in the States. Just use common sense and be aware of your surroundings. As in any city anywhere.

The thing that makes me shake my head is this channel used to be fun and informative. Now it’s nothing but grifting their guides. I guess they ran out of ideas to film.

That said: here’s some channels to watch if you’re new to visiting Paris.

Arielle in Paris: she’s a Canadian living in Paris and about to get married to her Frenchman. Her personality is very charming but her upspeak bothers me. Once you get past that annoying upspeak, she’s good to watch.

Paris Top Tips: Alain, the host is a great source for rating restaurants/ cafes, bistrots. Very pleasant guy. Informative.

C’est Meilleur Quand c’est bon: This channel was recommended by a fellow Redditor on this sub! We are hooked! Granted, it’s in the French language but it will help your language skills! We’ve gotten great recommendations from this channel! The hostess is a hoot! She’s so knowledgeable and has a sense of humor! We will be forever indebted to the Redditor who recommended.

Harrison Webb: a Brit who reviews restaurants in Paris, and London and NY….. i love his Paris restaurant reviews! He’s cheeky and funny and so…realistic and not phony! As a born NYer, his reviews of NY places are hysterical!

There’s another channel I like but my husband is “meh” about. I can’t recall the name but she’s a pastry chef ( American) sharing baking videos and travel videos around Paris and France with her French husband. She’s kind of influencerish but her recipes are very good.

Hi there!

After spending out-of-pocket for Foundati, I am wondering if there are any free apps for tracking-especially calories.

I just deleted an app that was useless because i couldn’t get caloric intake on foods. I refuse the spend another penny.

I have the WE app and its okay, but again, no calorie tracking.

This kinda chic that’s trending on social media is really annoying me.

Although I am by no means a grammar police, the word “chic” is very much misused and misleading in the trend.

Chic is a nuanced distinction of how one dresses and carries themselves. It’s that person who just has a knack for wearing jewelry or accessories a certain way to look understatedly fabulous.

Thank you for allowing me to vent. BTW, I’m not chic but appreciate a truly chic person because they are few and far between.

At 167 and 5’6 I have tried to shed 20 pounds and in two years the scale has not moved.

Went to the doctor today. Working for the State of PA stinks! Insurance won’t pay for Glp-1. Even though a 20 pound loss will have me much healthier.

Anyway, eagerly awaiting my 0.8 dosage. I can do this…I hope!

This might be an odd request but I am looking for a simple, basic game that I can play to relieve my flight anxiety.

I recently deleted Candy Crush Saga because the game became nearly impossible to play. I refuse to buy any sort of booster, etc. But CC just got out of hand. After deleting, I reinstalled it thinking starting over would be like the old-school CC. It isn’t. It is nothing but challenges and all I want is to just play a simple game.

Same with Piggy Kingdom. It used to be great! Now it’s garbage with next-to-impossible levels.

One of the “sub-games “ within the games that I enjoyed were simple merge games and they are no fun either.

If anyone has games that are somewhat old school and fin, your suggestions would be appreciated!

First off, I had been playing CC for years and made it to 8000 plus levels. However, it got too frustrating and was not fun anymore.

So I deleted the game entirely and reinstalled to start at level 1.

The game changed. Old school CC was fun and easy and more simplistic. Up to level 481, it’s ridiculous—extra hard levels, etc. It wasn’t like that years ago.

I’m not paying for anything. I’m just playing. But even at this low level, it’s not fun.

In addition, I noticed this with other games. They all want money for you to make the games easier — but what fun is that if one has to pay?

Would love to return to simpler times……
