Finally feeling at home

Finally feeling at home

FTM 21, currently a little over a month on T. I’ve never been happier and im finally starting to see myself in the mirror. This is the first gender euphoric picture I’ve take since my transition.

Had to take the “sugar pill” which will trigger my period

Im super upset, ive already had some minor bleeding/random spotting this past month and its only been my first month on T so i hoped sooner or later id be done with it.

I got my alarm to take my birth control and noticed all my pink pills were gone, i always skip the last 4 “sugar pills” that trigger your period. So I went to grab my last box of pills and then boom! They were empty!

So I just had to take my sugar pill and get ready for the next round of blood, dysphoria and cramps! Yay!

Any tips on how to stop T from leaking out the injection site?

So far I’m only 3 weeks on T. First time I feel like a lot leaked out. Second time was a bit better but this time I saw some leakage again.

I’m currently on a .25 ml dosage, I’ve been doing the trick of keeping the needle in for at least 10 seconds, injecting it slowly but I was wondering if there’s anything else I’m missing?

My coworker gave me a recommendation of holding my thumb down on the site immediately after injecting so everything stays inside.

I hate chasers

TW: nsfw, mentions of sa

They’re disgusting. I don’t care. My existence, my life, my love, my reason of living is NOT your hard on.

Chasers genuinely ruined my teenage years. I was so young and naive I truly assumed these people saw me for something beautiful. No, to them I was just a woman with tape on my chest.

One assaulted me when I was 17, he was 22. Im now 21, I don’t care how anyone could try to justify it. I could NEVER imagine going anywhere near a teenager. It’s taken me years to move on, live again without feeling disgusted in my own body. The pain of it caused me to detransition for some time.

But I’m back, I’m back and I refuse to let anyone make me feel like a perversion. I am fucking living.

I am now engaged to a man who loves me for who I am, all that I am. Each day is spent in his eternal devotion to me. If only my younger self knew that kind of love was possible.

I love being trans

As hard as it can be, to not recognize your own body, lose family, and sometimes even yourself. I love everything about who I am and i wouldn’t trade this experience for anything else.

Had the worst chai today 💔

Mostly annoyed and want to rant but I’m not super upset since she seemed like a new hire/was alone.

I was in a mall and they had one of those corner Starbucks bars and I got a iced pumpkin cream chai. Simple order, no add ins or substitutions. From the get go she seemed confused on what drink it was exactly and took a few minutes to get it in the register.

Nothing about that bothered me but it was the first red flag 🥲. I was just talking with my mom while we waited for our chais when I noticed she was making the drink slightly odd. Like pouring in random stuff even after it was finished. I could see from afar from where I was sitting and internally thinking “oh?”.

Once we got our drinks i noticed the chai was really dark and assumed maybe it was extra chai and less milk. However after I had my first sip i realized it was coffee and somehow nothing tasted like pumpkin, not even the foam? Honestly the drink tasted like nothing but burnt coffee and coffee is good whatever I could work with it but it was a really burnt somehow sour coffee.

I felt bad and just kept drinking it and decided to not make a fuss cause again, she seemed young and was alone. I’m not upset at her just the situation and most especially who left her out there alone! Super messed up, I wonder if smaller franchise stores are run worse 😔.

Considering going back to college but have no idea what to major in…help..

Just as the title states I’ve been struggling figuring out what to do career wise/what major to pursue.

I’ve always been interested in a bit of everything but somehow have always tried to cram them all into one. So I’m hoping anyone might have some advice for a lost guy 🥲.

Some background info/past history:

I was once in community college pursuing environmental science. I had a love for conservation efforts and camp settings. At the time I was working as a behavioral aide for children. My idea was mixing the two as becoming a camp counselor for children and eventually going towards being a park employee.

Considering I was also a behavioral aide I have always been interested in psychology and behaviorism. Specifically with children and anyone falling in the neurotypical spectrum or facing emotional crisis.

As you can guess this all fell apart, in the meantime I kinda freaked out career wise, went to beauty school and am now a licensed cosmetologist. Although I love the beauty industry I still can’t help thinking of the paths i didn’t pursue and now I feel empty.

Now feeling more confident and finding myself again I would love to pursue some kind of career path that correlates to my interests. So far I’ve considered Psychology, Child education, Social Work and Public Health.

Unfortunately given my financial circumstances I’ll have to start off at a community college again and hopefully if I can somehow find the money or take out loans, pursue a B.S. I’ve done my own individual research but it still feels crazy overwhelming..

Just took my first T shot!!

It still doesn’t feel real, I was so scared before taking it and it did take me awhile to actually Inject myself but my fiance was with me helping give me courage.

Once i eventually did it I was surprised how painless it was! It was silly as soon as I finished my finance asked me “do you feel any different?” I posed and said “oh yeah”.

Everything was going good until i somehow managed to stab my own thumb while putting away the needle! Not only did I do that I hit a vein too..feeling like a chud tbh..but I’m happy too!

Considering majoring in Psychology, any advice from Psych majors?

As sated above, Ive been doing a lot of internal questioning on if I should pursue this degree. So far after looking at all my options of interest I’m finding myself more drawn to psychology.

How are you as students enjoying the degree/entrance into the field? Do you feel as if the schooling is worth it, are career paths opening well with this degree?

I’ve always had an interest in public health, conservation efforts and even working with children. So I hoped a degree as broad as Psychology would be a good opportunity for different sectors of doors to open. I was considering minoring in child development as well.

Im still looking into what college I would want to finish my degree in but I am certain I would like to start off at a 2 year then transfer.

Going back to school after severely screwing up

Just as the title above states, back in 2023 I completely bombed my college semester at a Junior College. Thankfully, because of it being a junior college and essentially free from FASFA it felt like no harm no foul.

In the recent months I’ve looked back on my mistakes and obviously feel shame, but I also can’t kick myself too hard for being unsure of what I wanted to do. After that first semester of screwing around and failing it, I settled for random classes hoping they’d stick..they did not. I failed that semester even worse.

So after 2 semesters I quit. Then I even quit the job I had at the time I expected to be a longterm career. I kinda lost myself for a while and eventually applied and went to beauty school hoping to find myself again. Although it was a temporary fix I still feel lost.

Now 2026, I’m looking into my school options again. Remaking a new plan and I’m feeling much better about where this is going. Haven’t started applying to any schools yet but I’m getting an idea of what might be best for me! I’m feeling hopeful.

Cis guys saying misogynistic stuff since u pass

It’s so weird starting to experience this strange phenomenon of men, mostly older men saying the most out of pocket shit and just assuming you agree.

Craziest thing I had some guy say to me was along the lines of “all women want is the bad guy, they don’t like when you treat em right” this was after he went on a longgg tangent of how he used to be a “bad boy”.

Edit: for extra context these events usually happen when I pass %50 of the time, I never interact with these types of people in my free time I just have the unfortunate circumstance of being a hairstylist at a bad salon so if I stand my ground there goes my job.

Wondering what my next move should be?

So I’ve been working in a salon for a few months now, after spending thousands on beauty school, fighting to survive and graduate on time. Now that I’m actually in the industry I don’t think I can see myself doing this long term.. It’s a bit of a blow since I truly believed I would do this for the rest of my life honestly. Now I’m trying to step back and look at my options. I’m still pretty young so going back to college would be a good option.

Before I started in the beauty industry my initial plan was environmental science or behavioral health. My plan was to climb my way up a ladder of professions until I finally reached where I wanted to be.

(This was my plan) At this time I started off as a behavioral aid —> children’s camp counselor —> camp coordinator —> park employee —> park ranger

It was a very messy plan as I was only 18 at the time but so far I feel super stuck. I only have so much to reference on my own personal interests. It feels weird idk if anyone else feels this way but sometimes it feels like I have no passion for anything?? And I have to look back on these previous messy plans due to the fact that I have no idea where to go.

I used to participate in a lot of volunteer projects/environmental projects so I’m thinking of either going the environmental route or more counselor training route. Either way I’m feeling pretty weird..

The awkward moment a client realized I was queer

I pass pretty off and on at work, some people misgender me some don’t. But for the most part once a client sits in my chair (I’m a hairstylist) and they hear me use a deep voice, read my name tag they usually get im masculine.

So I just cut this one guys hair and again, it’s kinda obvious that I’m queer and I don’t try to hide it. So when we were chit chatting I mentioned my Fiancé and referred to him as “he”.

My client suddenly got very quiet and seemed uncomfortable, before that he wasn’t super chatty but was at least responsive and conversing. That’s when I just stayed quiet for the rest of the haircut. Superrrr awkward.

Thoughts on the Neck Dermal?

I recently got a chest dermal after being scared of it for years, since then I’ve been wanting another one and recently saw pictures of a neck dermal!

Especially since my chest has healed so well and the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be I’m less scared of getting more.

So far this is my only body surface piercing and have had no issues with it so I was wondering if there were any warnings I should be aware of?

I keep my hair short so that wouldn’t snag on it but I do sleep on my bag and wear necklaces, I’d imagine that would mess with it

Wearing tape 24/7

I’ve always just worn my tape 24/7 unless I plan on putting putting a new set on the next morning, then I’ll just take it off at night and it’s really the only time I sleep freely lol.

Depending on how new the tape is taking it off can sometimes leave red sores or even rips on my skin. My main worry is that if I continue to wear it constantly can this contribute to messing up my skin or even internal health?

So far I haven’t had much happen to me other than those few skin issues, I was just curious if anyone had some kind of negative experience.

Hate using the men’s bathroom

One of my least liked experiences as a passing man is hands down using the men’s room, it’s so unbelievably disgusting I don’t understand how it gets so bad?!

More often than not i literally have to go find another bathroom since the one I walked into has piss all over the floor, walls, and everything is just disgusting. Like the second I pull my pants down random strangers pee will be all over them.

I also just hate the fact it’s so obvious I’m peeing while sitting down. When I was in high school i literally had a method of flushing while i quietly peed and if the flushing stopped I force myself to hold it for the next flush. I’m just so scared that when I open the door some dude will be in my face like “why you peeing while sitting down bro?!”

Finally found a healthcare provider to prescribe Testosterone!

I finally was able to set up an appointment with a healthcare provider and after speaking on the phone for some time I successfully set up an appointment later in the month of August and I’ll officially be getting a prescription for Testosterone!

What makes this clinic so special is that they do not require any kind of insurance! All blood work can be done in house, appointments are free and the only thing I’ll be covering is the actual pick up from the pharmacy.

If anyone in the California is near the Sacramento/Davis area and is looking for a good noninvasive resource I’d definitely recommend checking out the “Gender Health Center”.

I’d say the only issues with the clinic is that it runs a bit slower due to the fact it’s a nonprofit volunteer clinic from a hospital next door, so they only operate appointments in certain days. However to speak to a coordinator can be faster!

They also provide lots of support and resources, such as referrals for surgery, name changes, free needles on certain days. I’m super happy and excited to start my journey!

Top Surgery care basket

My friend is getting top surgery in the next week and my friends and I were planning on visiting him once he was home and recovering.

I wanted to make him a get better basket! People who have had top surgery what could be some good things to add in?

I’ve seen some basic stuff like blankets, pain meds, skin moisturizers but what would actually be helpful? What did you guys use everyday that actually did help your recovery? I’d really appreciate the advice!

Accidentally snapped at my fiancé this morning

My dysphoria has been pretty bad lately so I’ve been pretty insecure around my fiancé, although he is the most supportive person ever I still find myself fearing he may secretly find me ugly
(even though I know he doesn’t)

This morning I just couldn’t stand to look at myself while we were both getting ready for work and I could see him looking at me as we were talking. I shouted at him to not look at me and I immediately felt so guilty, then when he was helping me put on my tape I again was very snappy.

I just hated him having to look at everything, I wanna be perfect and beautiful not just for myself but him too. He’s never done anything to make me think otherwise, I know he find me beautiful it’s just my own dysphoria that gets in the way.

We ended up talking it out before I left for work and we’re okay, I just have no idea how to get over my fear of him looking at me.
